Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Calls And SMS Stops Working?
Mar 9, 2012
I've had an Xperia X10 Mini Pro for a while now. The last few months I have experienced that the phone stops recieving phone calls and SMS. The rest of the phone is still working and I can use apps and mobile internet so I do not notice myself that it has stoped working untill I try to make a phone call myself. The phone starts working again if I restart it (just a normal shut down and the turn it back on again). This works every time. Once restarted I normaly gets a lot of SMS's with messages on my voice mail etc.
after I repaired my X10 mini with PC companion, the wi-fi connection stops working after few minutes. The indicator shows the phone is connected and there is good signal, but all applications report network error when trying to connect. Turning wi-fi off and on makes it work for another few minutes. The phone is after complete wipe and reset, I tried to connect to different networks and the problem is still there. Other android phones connect to these networks okay and there is no problem (personally tested with HTC Incredible S, Desire HD2 and One X)
It dectects and connects to my router, but after about a minute it just stops working. But the staturbar still says, it is connected with a good connection. (Normal Wifi Symbol idicating it)I tried changing the stand-by settings, but that did not seem to change anything.I tried connecting to my Wifi with other phones, and it works well and gives a constantly good connetion.
My mini pro started behaving weird lately. A few days ago the touch screen stopped working. The phone was not responding to anything but the hardware buttons. I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal. This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.
So i've been using att for about two months now since switching from Verizon. Everything was fine at first but recently i would say within the past month i've been dropping calls and having problems with the data services. I'll be streaming slacker radio and all of a sudden it stops and i have to reboot to get it working again. The dropped calls thing is pretty much random. Im running 5.0.0.405.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean the whole surfing while talking thing is nice but if this keeps up im going to have to just bite the bullet pay the early term fee and switch back!
Phone was 18months old. Intermittent problem from 1 yr. Able to make/receive calls but other person not able to hear me. However voice recorder still working so not sure what's causing problem. Genius bar unable to help but person next to me with same age phone had identical problem. Tried all suggestions on message boards with no sucess.
i bought a sk17i about a week ago and after reading another user's post of telling about the bad quality of SK17i i'm abit worriedwhen i kept my phone power on for more than about two days its "Menu key" stopped responding. but it was fine after i restarted it. and two days after that the same thing happened to the "Back key". but it also became normal after restarting it.i saw in a forum, they say to restart the phone once a day to refresh the memory. but that's a big ****. i had nokia c5-03 earlier and it didn't gave me such trouble.
I've had several videos on my SK17i ruined because a warning popped up that there was only 10% of 5% left of the power in the battery. This warning immediately stops the video recording, while there is more than enough power left to finish what I wanted to record (a band's performance). This is very annoying. Is there a way to turn off this pop-up?
I want this update real bad. But when I set it for update finish following the instructions for backup after installing the new backup software. It moves to step 2 of 4 and then stops around 30-50% and the below message is displayed. Unable to install or start phone software update components.
I am just updating my xperia pro to the new update ICS. And when it comes to the stage of "PREPARE" its loading, but then halfway through, the update suddenly stops and go back to the home screen of PC companion, I don't know what to do, I keep on repeating it but doesn't seem to pass by the stage of prepare.
Getting pretty frustrated with the WiFi lately. I don't know what happens, but sometimes when I come to use my phone, I find the WiFi connection not working. The WiFi status icon shows it's receiving and not sending data, which is weird. I turn WiFi on and off, I "forget" my WiFi details and register them and again, but still not working. The only soluton I found wokring so far, is to restart my phone.
It's really an inconvenience when I'm in hurry and trying to get something really quick, and suddenly my phone goes, "Nope, WiFi not working, gotta restart me ", and I'm just looking at it with a straight face and blinking faster
What makes this happen? I have the "Keep WiFi On During Sleep" off, though I'm not sure if that's the case. And yes, the problem started happening after the Lollipop update.
Every so often, mobile data stops working (and no symbol for data on the phone)Signal strength is strong.Switching mobile data off and on again, re-selecting network, switching GPRS/3G does not fix it.The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. I think it usually happens after I've been in an area with low/no signal for a while. (Obviously when I have the signal back, I expect the mobile data to also come back automatically).Neo 2.3.4 Operator Simyo (Spain)It also happens to my wife's phone (Neo 2.3.4 Simyo as well) Is this a known bug?
I am having an issue with my phone, when im typing quite fast the vibration on my phone will just stop. I have to lock my screen, give it some time and then unlock it to get the vibration back.
Ive tried restarting the phone, installing a different keyboard and clearing the keyboards cache.
i have xperia play,my touch functions of my cell sometimes stop working but i can use d cell through d slider den d touch functions come back by themselves in some hours.
Ive been a X10 user for a few months now... I havent had any issues with this phone up until now when I decided to use bluetooth. Everytime I use bluetooth, it works for a small period of time and then hangs itself... It simply disconnects and refuses to pair again... This happens with my stereo headset and also with the Wiimote I use for playing games on the phone... At first I thougnt this might be an issue with the headset (which didnt have the best reception, choppy audio and bad quality, specially for an official SE headset) but I really noticed the issue after I started using my Wii remote to play games on the phone since I know the remote works flawlessly on the Wii itself... The problem is that it stops working, refuses to pair again and when I turn off Bluetooth, it doesnt turn on again, no matter how long I try, forcing me to restart the phone... Only to work again after rebooting and hanging again after some use...
Xperia Neo V. The Wifi function suddenly shut down tonight after I activated the 'Auto Synchronize' function in the settings. It appears that everytime after I try to turn the Wifi on, the screen is not responding and there isn't any wireless signals it can search (while there's actually several wifi signals), it's like the phone is dead, and I had to wait for like 10 seconds before the it started to respond. I tried to turn the phone off and restart it, but it didn't work. Other functions works well, only that I can't connect to internet since the wifi is not working.
I have a problem with my x10 mini pro. Most of the times, while in call it is going to mute.. I am using the phone very close to my ears and i can see it is blank when i take out to see whether it is in mute or not. whether there is any existing remedy for this or someone can raise a request to sony ericsson to have mute as a hard key or in a menu form like it is present in normal mobiles?
I don't get incoming calls for my sony ericsson xperia x10 mini. When some one tries to call to my phone it says that that the call cannot be connected.... But I can get calls, can go online... can do any other thing from the phone.
i hear some kind of sound during a call. It occurs only when I'm in 2g coverage. I found that there was no sound when i was in 3g coverage. The sound is like the 1 which we get when we take our phone near speaker or sub-woofer during a call in 2g coverage. sound occurs in few calls only.
I've been a happy xperia mini pro (android 4.0.4) owner for 8 months however today i started experiencing a repetitive static noise thump which appeared during all my calls. I wanted to find out more about this problem eventually any fixes, and if problems such as this would be covered by the warranty.

I've just got the X10 mini and made my first call out yesterday which started well but after about 6mins I could not hear the person on the other end of the phone but they could hear me. I tried calling out again this morning and the same thing happened. The only way I can hear the other person is to have the phone on loud speaker. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong as it is driving me mad?
I just bought a x10 mini pro and I already notice it will hang up calls randomly, and this problem happened for a month already. And sometimes there will be a error message "com.andriod.phone" don't run correctly or something
I purchased the Mini (ST15i) this January and have since updated it to ICS when it came out for the phone. But there are lots of problems I'm facing with the phone now, Dropped calls. Especially with WiFi and/or data ON. Slow performance, Widgets/Folders on the Home screen take time to load (i can see them loading one by one)Phone app takes around 3 secs to come up!!! All other apps also take longer than before to load.3. The corner widgets randomly reset to default ones - i tried to set them lots of times and everytime they reset (this i believe is a fault with only my device), Contact details (like ringtone) gets reset.
i used to use some call blocking apps like Mr.Number n then tried Call Blacklist(one after another).. I uninstall all of it as i have no more use of it.. But the thing is, a particular number that i used to block is still being blocked. Is this an issue from the Call Blocker software or system software?
When I get an incoming call I get no ring but just a speaker icon in the top right corner with a bar through it. I have had the phone for 2 years and not had this before. Cant see any problem with settings.
Two nights in a row my x10 mini pro has automatically made calls to people in my phone book, from the favourit list. After the call a some addtional digits have bent sent, like "441*441..." I was asleep and my phone was standby and charging. Serious problem that I need to resolve in some way as soon as possible. Has anyone experienced the same phenomena? The last app installed was Alchemy, some game my son installed with my approval. I have run a virus scan with NetQin but everything seems ok.
