The vibration function of my S6 (G920l) works when I press the keyboard, when I receive SMS or WhatsApp messages, when I answer and hang up a call.
It does not work when I receive a call.
I have the VIBRATE WHILE RINGING option enabled. My phone is NOT on power saving.
This morning, I go to work and I silence my iphone as usual to be in the office. But when incoming calls or other alerts appeared that the vibration isnt working. Its it just a glitch or i need to send my iphone to service?

my phone won't vibrate on notifications or calls anymore and it's killing me. settings > sound > vibration is set to 'always'. i didn't drop the phone or anything, so i don't know what it could be. the vibrating phone icon is visible on the top bar too.i'm using go sms pro and have that set to vibrate always, and even if i run the test notification, it says that vibrate is on, but it doesn't actually vibrate.

Tests today also showed that when I put it in Silent/Vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate when receiving calls either.However when I select Silent/Vibrate mode it does the little vibrate feedback so its not like the vibrate feature doesn't work at all.
Coming from a BlackBerry Z10 to the M9 I am missing a few features that the BlackBerry had.
One in particular is the option to be in vibrate mode for all apps but phone calls will vibrate and have a tone.
Is there anyway to make a vibration pattern for texts or calls?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Verizon Galaxy S5 running Lollipop, version 5.0. I recently performed a factory reset because the Lollipop update was completely ruining my phone, and still is. In the past few days, my mic has been acting up. I'll call someone or they'll call me, and they can't hear me at all. Speakerphone doesn't work, and neither does a headset. The mic still works, I've tested it using voice recorder and have no problems. Sometimes it randomly works, but 95% of the time it doesn't work. I tried restarting, pulling the battery, wiping cache partition, all to no avail. It worked in safe mode, but once I reinstalled one app, it stopped working again, and didn't start working after I deleted that one app and rebooted. I've had nothing but problems with Lollipop, and now I can't even use my phone anymore. I've also disabled Google Now voice recognition, noise cancellation, and voice privacy, still no luck

A setting from profiles "Alert for" which is used to vibrate and ring on only particular calls from group. But this setting gives vibrations to all calls no matter from which group the call is.

1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.
5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls.
Here is another scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #1
5) End the call #1.
6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls.
BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well.
I have a S5 Active Galaxy and when anyone calls me or I call out I get a pop up telling me the phone has stopped working. I have tried to restart it and do a battery pull..no luck.

If I turn on speakerphone all sound returns. If I turn it off, no sounds and the person on the other end sometimes gets a high-pitched ringing. Could it be a headphone jack issue?

Yesterday my N8 stopped vibrating when it recieved a text message , I enabled vibration alert in the profile and checked if it was a hardware problem by calling . The phone vibrates when it gets a call but it doesn't vibrate when a message comes ! I did not install advanced battery monitor also ! I reset my phone and re-installed the latest firmware also , but still the problem persists

But now I have realized that my phone no longer vibrates upon not matching my fingerprint to the records it's got. It only says "no match" on the bottom of screen, without any vibration.
Since I've played around with my phone settings I'm guessing it might be something I have accidentally disabled. So I went back to settings and browsed through everywhere that looked like relevant to my issue but did not succeed to find anything (tried enabling some features and checking the "no match". And my phone is NOT on battery saver mode).
