I just bought an unlocked bold 9780 a few days ago but for some reason i can't receive the Register e-mail, I tried with another IM Card but still can't receive it. I tried going to a Blackberry technical service and they told me that the smartphone might be reported by RIM?

View 5 Replies View Relatedim abroad working so i've purchased a new vodafone sim card for my blackberry bold 9900 (my normal sim is vodafone). But when i put my new sim into my phone it asks me to log in with my blackberry ID and when i do it is telling me that my password is wrong i've checked and it isnt it says i have 4 more attempts at my password so need to fix the problem quick. It works fine with my old sim card but this happens when i try it with the new one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000, bought new and unlocked about 3 years ago. It was working fine with all services like BBM and push email working flawlessly on Idea Cellular. While out of town, my Bold 9000 seemed to run out of battery and wouldn't turn on even after attempting to charge it. It would continue to flash 11110000, where 1 indicates a flash of red LED and 0 meaning LED off. Once home, I had to reload the OS on the device. I have the latest OS5 running of the system. And since the device was security wiped, the settings were set to the defaults. But the handset fails to register and instead of 'EDGE' it shows 'edge' or sometimes 'GSM'. I am however, able to make phone calls and send/receive text messages. So far I have tried the following: 1. Hard reset the device numerous times and after every change of settings, leaving the battery out for 2-10 minutes 2. Ensured that the firewall is off 3. Send registration message from Host Routing Table, which is empty 4. Manually set the APN to 'blackberry.net' in TCP/IP 5. Enabled Data, Data roaming and network is 2G only. I have called up Idea customer care and they ensure that my services are working fine and asked me to only perform the steps listed above. This was confirmed by using my Idea sim card on a friend's Torch 9800. Her handset is successfully registered using my sim card and can use BB services. I tried her Airtel sim card and my Bold still failed to register on that network.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a big issue.I purchased a BB 9930 from ebay that was confirmed to be unlocked.When I received it there was a SIM-Card (Sprint) inserted and it also had a Sprint logo on the phone... Anyway, I swapped the SIM-Card from my carrier in Switzerland (Europe) and everything looked OK as I was able to make phone calls, use the BB-App and so on. The problem is that I cant go online with browser and I cant use email services. I have sent "Host Routing Services" doesnt work.I have tried to Update Profile/PRL "The profile could not be updated. Please try again later. If problem persists, contact your wireless service provider" I have pulled batt. I have tried to register my BB over the website of my carrier with PIN code and Imei and it denies it because the phone isnt registered with the carrier... and so on tried about a 100 times! Of course I have the Blackberry service option with my carrier.My provider says that the former carrier has to give the BB free for them to register my phone... Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked device originally from T-mobile and now I am in Barbados and the phone will not register on Cable and Wirless' (LIME) 3G network. Even when I do a manual scan it is only showing up Digicel. In reading online it seems that T-Mobile uses different bands for their 3G than some of the other providers. Is there a way to change it? I have seen mention of changing the vendor ID as the bands maybe dictated by software but I have not found anyone that was successful in doing this?

I never recieve the email. (not in junk or deleted) I am however able to recieve emails on my blackberry device whenever my email account does recieve an email.Secondly everyone on my blackberry messenger list doesnt show their display pictures nor does display picture changes on the other end of my contacts.Anyone know how I can fix this or is this an issue?

But when I tried to access Email Account Management, I got a message "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I did, and they told me that the only remedy would be to clean install the operating system. As I would like to avoid this, I searched the web a bit, and found the advice to setup my email account online. I tried this, but got an error message saying that my device was not registered, although I did register it a few minutes earlier (Houst Routing Table -> Register now). I re-registered, reboothed the device - same error.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
i am using bb since 4 years. i now switched to bb bold 9700 which has wi-fi and 3g. i need help on following topics, sorry if this is repeat question but i searched all possible solutions on website but remained failed.
1. how to set up hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail accounts along with official company mails which is already set up. important is to received online mails the i am receiving official mails on company account, means it rings when a mail hits inbox, i want the same for hotmail, yahoo mail and gmail?
2. how to play Internet on it, when i click on any Internet video, it asked, do you want to switch to wap to stream the video, when i say yes, it gives error message, if i am on wi-fi connection, even then it does not play any video, simply gives error message.

I am new to the blackberry and for the life of me I can't see how to setup POP mail or internet access thru my 3G Connection. all my other phones I had in the past, when I incerted my SIN Card, I would get 3 text messages and all I had to do was save them and my internet was set up. but my Blackberry never got those messeges. is there a way to set up my 3G Internet access and my POP mail ? all I can find is an option to setup a enterprise server, and I do not have the other option that all the books say I should have ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedBlackberry Bold 9700 on contract with Virgin, I have now unlocked the phone and put my works Sim (o2) in. When I switch the phone on I recieve 1 possibly 2 calls then all further calls go to voicemail, I dont get any notifications that I have voicemail and don't know unless I call 1 or 901. If I turn the phone off and on again It then repeats the process. It appears to forward all calls to voicemail after a couple of hours. Call Forwarding is set to Conditional and does not change. I have reset to factory settings but it still does it.
