Somehow, I managed to accidentally set a daily alarm (on calendar) for 7am. I tried the "menu > delete" option, it asks me if I'm sure, I click 'Yes' and then nothing happens. The alarm is stil there and when I click on it, I dont't have the option to change it from daily to weekly or anything. If I try to change the time, it stays exactly where it is. Basically it seems immovable.

Is there a way for me to delete the daily reminder he created? I could manually mark them all as "done" but they still remain on my calendar. I could also disable reminders from showing up on my Google Calendar entirely, but I actually use the feature a great deal.
Every day at 5pm, I get an annoying pop up message. The message only says "Featured App" across the top. It appears to be a solicitation for various apps. Everything from budgeting to making messages invisible for a "secret affair." Its neither a text message nor an email, just pops up on the phone. The only option is the download link at the bottom which takes me to App World. If I hit the end button several times, it will sometimes go away.
It appears to have started when I upgraded App World a couple of weeks back.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on the 3 Mobile network. I only have one email account setup, and it is a Gmail account. I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.
I have a recurring alarm appearing every day until forever in my calendar. I would like to delete it altogether but can't seem to do so. When I choose "delete" it says:Delete recurring alarm?
- Delete the series
- Delete this occurence
But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
I was going through my memorie card and I was attempting to delete pictures. I would click delete and the message "the selected file is read only.are you sure you wish to delete file" I click yes and the picture is still there.

I left my BB on my desk at work (GRRRR) and my alarm is set to go off at 6am, I don't get in until 8am.Is my alarm going to be ringing until then or does it time out? I feel so lost without my BB.

The Home screen says it is set for 6AM, and sure enough, it rings at 6AM. I check the clock settings and the alarm shows that it is off. for some reason the alarm does not work (properly) it did not sound yesterday at all, I tried it in the evening, same thing. It shows the option to snooze & dismiss, but it does not sound... this morning, I had it set for 7.30, the alarm went off at 7.35 - any ideas what's wrong?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan anyone help? I am/was one of the lucky N97 owners my phone was relatively stable - well anything would be if comparing it to the N96!!! However, since I upgraded the software to latest version way back in November, 2009, I find my phone memory disappears daily. I have transferred everything possible to E Mass Memory and have also backed up and reinstalled the software, but after doing yet another scan of the C Phone Memory I see that I still have 39MB Other Files - which I have no idea what they are or indeed how to get rid of them. Each day this file gets larger, and eventually it will take up all the memory on the Phone again. A problem which happened with the previous version so that it just would not work at all. The last version of software has given me more memory to use, but if I don't resolve this problem I will run out of memory again before too long.
