I am totally new to this BlackBerry Bold 9700.
I have set the Alarm to wake me up everyday at 4:15 AM .. and now, I want to delete that alarm .. How can I do that? It seems impossible ! I can't find any option for managing my alarms !
Somehow, I managed to accidentally set a daily alarm (on calendar) for 7am. I tried the "menu > delete" option, it asks me if I'm sure, I click 'Yes' and then nothing happens. The alarm is stil there and when I click on it, I dont't have the option to change it from daily to weekly or anything. If I try to change the time, it stays exactly where it is. Basically it seems immovable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on the 3 Mobile network. I only have one email account setup, and it is a Gmail account. I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.
I don't have Outlook and my email (Yahoo) does not have good contact management. Is there another desktop app that I can use to manage my contacts?

So, I went to "Manage Email Settings" and tried to connect, but got "The application has encountered an error and cannot continue." Update - I just checked my device manager and it says I'm disconnected. It says "COM3/Disconnected" to be exact.

Is there a way for me to delete the daily reminder he created? I could manually mark them all as "done" but they still remain on my calendar. I could also disable reminders from showing up on my Google Calendar entirely, but I actually use the feature a great deal.
I left my BB on my desk at work (GRRRR) and my alarm is set to go off at 6am, I don't get in until 8am.Is my alarm going to be ringing until then or does it time out? I feel so lost without my BB.

View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery day at 5pm, I get an annoying pop up message. The message only says "Featured App" across the top. It appears to be a solicitation for various apps. Everything from budgeting to making messages invisible for a "secret affair." Its neither a text message nor an email, just pops up on the phone. The only option is the download link at the bottom which takes me to App World. If I hit the end button several times, it will sometimes go away.
It appears to have started when I upgraded App World a couple of weeks back.
I was messing around with my blackberry and accidentally removed Windows Messenger. How do I get it back. There's no undo button and I realised it as soon as I had done it. I think it's still downloaded on my phone as I am still signed in to messenger, I just can't locate the file. Can anyone help me with this?

Sample Pictures
I have set a folder to store pics in on my media card. After moving all the pics to that folder I go back and under the tab All Pictures those same pictures that I moved to the folder on my media card are there also. I tried to delete those but it says the pictures are in use. How do I remove the pictures from the All Pictures folder? Also is there anyway to delete the Sample Pictures?
With computers I know you should un-install programs carefully and a certain way..I was wondering with my blackberry, is there a deifference weather I delete an App using my device, or using the Desktop Manager? Is one safer in the long run?

I used to be able to delete, but now am unable to. Did batt. pull already and restart. Same problem. View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried to research this elsewhere for a couple of days but haven't got Blackberry Bold 9700 is the phone, and I have hooked up to my outlook account using pop3 account because direct into exchange server is not an option. I get emails and can send emails, no problem. If I delete emails from BB, they delete in outlook BUT not the other way round. So if I delete emails in outlook they do not delete from my phone.
I DON'T run cache exchange mode on outlook, and therefore the emails I read on my outlook are not on a local pst folder. I have enabled wireless reconcile Having recently moved from HTC (using Windows Mobile 6.1 which works a dream with outlook obviously) to BB I am terrified I have tied myself into 2 years of hell,

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked Bold 9700 running OS 5 that I used briefly with an international SIM card service from the UK, and then abroad with a totally different provider (on a corporate enterprise plan). I recently re-established residence in the US and am allowing my son to use the BB for now. We have a new SIM from AT&T that has never had a BB account provisioned on it. I did a full security wipe on the phone. The phone is still receiving mail from a yahoo.com account. When I go to Setup -> Personal Email Setup and then click "back" (so as not to set up a new account) I get a message "An email address does not currently exist for your Blackberry device" -- and yet I am still receiving messages on the yahoo.com account and can reply, check out folders, etc. When I check the Service Books, there is no listing for any service book associated with the email account; indeed, no CMIME listing at all.How can I remove email access to the yahoo.com account from this phone? How in the world is it still receiving emails?

I have replace the last 4 digits of my cell phone number with ****. I only use the regular VM and want to stop VVM from running in the background on my 9700 and want to delete it!
I just got my new Bold 9700 and the included 2 GB memory card is showing up as almost full. Through Media Manager I see the culprit is a bunch of backup files, including a file called ArcNB.NBZ (this file alone is 1.5 GB). Anyone know why this is on here? Can I safely delete it along with other backup files?
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust like it says, I'm not able to delete pics off my 16 gb card. Actually its more then that. When I press the menu key for options, in the section where " delete" and other options would be, all I show is properties. I've tested another card on my phone, no problems. I've tested this card on another 9700, same problem. Its definitely the card that is messed up. I've tried reformatting (won't let me reformat in my computer, I have to hook my bb up with it inside) and I still have the problem.
