When I woke up this morning I went to check out my Bold 9700 and it was stuck in the loading bar at the initializing screen.I took off the battery, tried to perform a format but none of these options worked.
Any hints or steps I could follow for fixing my device?
My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

However I've woken up this morning to find it has rebooted itself and it was stuck on the loading screen about 3/4 loaded. I've done a battery pull twice and it still gets stuck at the same place. Help!
The system seems to be locked on the "Home Screen" (the screen with the picture background). You can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up a menu where I can read my email and make calls (the trackball works here), but I can't select anything on the home screen, or on the large list of icons.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I press the headset button, a black screen pops up with the text "initializing" (except in Italian because that's the language I use), and nothing else happens. The voice command interface does not appear and it doesn't work at all. Tried clearing data and doing other basic things but the problem keeps happening. Not sure if it's a bug with the phone's software or with Google Search.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi recently got a bold 9700 bought used from someone. it is locked on rogers. I was updating it from os5 to os5, using desktop manager. As soon as it finished loading the os, an error 602 popped up, so i wiped the device on BBSAK so i could reload the os again. now the device is stuck on an error 507 screen. i know that i just have to reload the os, but when i plug it in using a USB cable, since it is stuck on the error 507 screen it cant connect to desktop manager or BBSAK!

I am sure there are other people out there with the same problem. My brother has the 9900 as well and it also doesn't work on his.reviously i had the 9780 (bold) and blackberry protect worked like a charm. I am wondering if there is a solution to this.

View 12 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so, my texts messages get stuck. What I mean..If I'm texting a friend and we are going back and forth, all of a sudden, the text msg wont open. I can scroll thru the list and open, reply to my other friends, but not the one im communicating with at that moment. I press the trackpad a ton of times and it just wont open. Even if I receive a new text, it still wont open.Can anyone diagnose this problem and tell me what I should do? I'm sick of doing the 5min battery pulls.

Everything was going all fine and dandy but it is currently stuck on task 12 of 12 (restore device data) and hasnt moved for 3 hrs now...I don't want to unplug the device as it says unplugging may render some data unusable!
I decided to update my 9700 to os 6 today and it was going fine until it got to the 'Restore Progress - Blackberry Messeger 1/1 items" Its been stuck there for about a hour now! My device shows the PC & BB icons as if its connected to the PC but when I open My computer, it isn't showed there? I havent disconnected it and scared it may have corrupted.

When I turn on my Blackberry (Bold 9700) you get the screen where it shows the whitebar where the phone is loading....I get about 3/4 of the way through and it just stales. I've tried taking out the battery for several minutes then putting everything back together with no luck....screen still only loads about 3/4 of the way.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night i went to sleep with my blackberry turned on with full battery, this morning when i woke up no more than 6 hours later my phone was stuck on the start up/ loading screen with the blackberry logo and the loading bar 2/3 the way complete. The phone continues to stay at 2/3 the way finished and will not proceed with the booting up of the smart phone.
I'm not sure how it decided to turn off by itself durring the night, or why it will not boot up correctly. I've tried restarting it by taking out the battery and putting it back in numerous times but it will only load up to about 2/3 the way complete.
I have all my contacts synced with my gmail account and my app data is really not important to me so if there is a way to wipe out the device i would be ok with that option.
I've never dropped the phone, or damaged it in any way so this problem must be something technical. This is the second bold 9700 that i've had in the past 6 months, I havn't even had this phone for a whole month yet. I had to get this phone as a replacement for my original 9700 because of reoccuring technical issues.
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9780. Whenever I try swtiching it on it just stays on white screen and at times few vertical lines but usually it's on white screen. All I can do is lock and unlock the device. I tried wiping off data and install new OS and updating the OS but no use. When I reinstall a new OS I hear some music. When ever I press the voice command button on left side I hear it telling 'say a command'.What is the problem and how to get my BlackBerry up and running ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy LCD screen recntly broke for my bb bold 9700.I ordered one off ebay, not knowing that there were several screen versions for the same phone.I disposed the broken one, installed the new one, and did not work.I took it to a repair center to see if they could help me out but they need the original version of the screen so that they can replace it.The problem is that I dont have the old screen so I cant tell them which version was it.is there any way I can tell which screen version my bb is intended to use without having the original screen? maybe be SN? bb model?

This is the first upgrade I've done on this device which was running .602.Everything was working fine until just after the reboot, at which time I get the AT&T "World Phone" splash screen. It's been sitting there for about 45 minutes now and is not proceeding past this point. BDM still says "Connecting to device (this may take up to 30 minutes)".I am relatively new to the BB world and I thought the upgrade should be a snap.
