I upgraded UT to 0.945, and for a reason it keeps blinking when I launch it, knowing that, there are no DM or mentions/replies posts. I'm sure it is something has to do with the options and it bugs the helll of me not finding it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find this exact problem, so bear with me if I missed it. My problem is that when I did a bettery pull a couple of days ago, my 9700 went into constant reboot. I was able to correct this by connecting to DM and reloading the OS (.714). This was the same OS I was previously using. Now, when I do a BP, the progress bar goes all the way to the end and it just freezes. I have to pull the battery again, and reload the same 714 OS from DM. No help from TMO online help, so I thought I would ask here.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI know there are multiple threads out there discussing this and I looked at most of them but this is different. My 9700 has gotten great battery life since day one, but this weekend I went out to the desert and didn't use my phone much because I only had EDGE but it was dropping in and out constantly, I had a full charge on Thursday morning and when I got home Saturday afternoon I had 20% which is pretty damn good I'm not complaining about that. When I got home I charged it fully and then on the middle of the day on Sunday my batter was almost dead. Same thing Monday and same thing today. I fully charged it yesterday afternoon and this morning it was at 25% and I hardly used my phone yesterday. SOMETHING has happened to my battery life, I'm running 5.0.0593 which hasn't ever gotten me fantastic battery life but its been okay but now its just shot.
I haven't changed anything on my BB for this to happen so I'm posting here for ideas of what could be causing this, I've looked at programs running closed everything I can and do not have WIFI or bluetooth on and Have constant good 3G reception.
Sometimes when I have a new email, sms, and BBM, the LED will shut off or stop blinking after a certain amount of time. I was just curious to see if this was a glitch with my phone, or it was a bold 9700 thing. Or it was just something normal?

I want the 9700 to blink red only when I have something of attention.Please help, I do have IM+ installed on the 9700...I've turned off the LED network coverage, etc etc...and yet even when I dont have any emails, im's etc....the silly thing STILL blinks..I have Bebuzz loaded which is fine I think...But for the life of me I dont know why it's flashing...

View 1 Replies View Relatednew to blackberry in general. have the bold 9700 and mostly have it on silent so i rely heavily on the red led blinking to signal a missed call. i could have sworn this was always the case cause a vm would generraly acompany the call. the other day the light was green so i thought i was good but in fact i had missed an important call. is this the way it is or is there a setting to have the led blink red with a missed call just like a message.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed my BB Desktop Manager and first plugged in my Bold 9700, it asked if I would like to update various features on my phone, to which I accepted. The update froze- I can't remember quite at which stage but I recall it was at the end stages and the stage at which it froze started with JVM. After waiting an hour or so, I disconnected my Blackberry, not knowing what to do. The screen remained black and the red light started blinking.I looked up fixes for the problem and they seemed simple- one used JL_Cmdr to do a full wipe- but I am using Windows 7 and it isn't compatible. I get a brief command prompt screen for a half second before it closes.
The second fix involved using the command prompt to get to the Loader in the AppLoader file- but I ran into another problem- when trying to open Loader.exe, I got a "The Application Loader requires the Blackberry Device Manager to be installed." Then looking up THAT fix, I downloaded a new OS and redownloaded the Desktop Manager, but am getting the same error.
Can someone tell me if its possible to add ubertwitter to my social feeds? I only see bbm and FB updates but no twitter.

I find the coverage were I live is terrible I am in the B73 postcode, this is Sutton Coldfield in the swest Mest Midlands, this was depite being told by the staff in the Phones 4U shop that the coverage was good, so any tips on this would be greatefully recieved, this however is not my masin gripe. When I first downloaded Ubertwitter it worked fine but now I have the following problem.The application Ubertwitter has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy.

I know how to fix it (since her old Curve would crash all the time), but anybody have ideas on what would cause this? She doesn't have many 3rd party apps (Quickpull, Buzzme, Google Maps), so I can't imagine it would be related to low memory. Is daily scheduled quickpull perhaps overkill on this phone? I'd like to do to avoid it crashing again, since I'm the official "phone fixer/OS reinstaller guy".
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 with ATT. I have constant low app memory problems. It is almost always under 10MB, and alot of times it is around 1-2MB. Here is a list of apps listed on the "Switch Application" menu: BB App World, Gmail Plugin, Home Screen, Visual VM, BB Messenger, Phone, Messages, Browser. I don't think any of these are the problem. A list of my downloaded Apps are: Atlanta Braves, CBS Sports, Weatherbug, ESPN, AP News, Google Maps, Bible App, Where, CBS Radio, Scoremobile, Stitcher Radio, Facebook, and Poynt. I assume I could get rid of those. Do you think there is too much downloaded? Is there a way to get rid of some of the defaults pre loaded apps such as: MobiTV, Mobile Banking, My Cast Weather, Wikimobile? Could someone point me in the right direction here.

WHy or how? who knows. The restarting has continued sporadically but in the last week it is NOT topping ....6 days later!The phone is now rendered useless. Cannot be used, cannot access any info on it. It seems there is a fundamental flaw with this model or software. In checking the web many ppl complain of this problem. Surely RIM should address this! Customers are being told that this smart phone is so superlative when they surely know that there is a problem 400USD later?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my bold 9000 to os 5.0.0 last night and it is now in constant reboot cycle. I let it do all it needed to do whilst connected to pc blah blah blah and it now it just reboots all the time. Gets past the loading bar and then goes to the vodafone screen, then screen turns black, red light comes on, over and over and over again. However, when I plug it in to either my mains charger or the pc, it will boot up OK. Any help would be appreciated as it will soon be going out the window!! Or back to the shop.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been reading some other posts on this board that seem to be close to my problem but nothing seems to be working. My phone was fully charged sitting in the charger all night as per norm, but when I woke up I hade a frozen white screen so I pulled the battery for over 2 min's then put it back in the red LED was constant for 15-20 seconds then off. I have tried charging it and tried putting on a new OS but as soon as I plug any USB in the phone the LED will go off and will not be recognised by my laptop nor will I get any charging LED.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAlmost everytime I go to use the browser, or an application that uses the browser (such as Poynte) I either get the error that it can't be used because the radio is off (which it is not), or that there is insufficient network coverage at this time and to try again later. Needless to say this is getting VERY old. I do had Quickpull scheduled to run everynight at 8pm. I took it in to Verizon and the woman there was extreamly unhelpful. The device itself is about 2 months old. I've searched the forums and found nothing like this.

The problem is that in the guarantee assistance centre I was told that the phone is in a good technical condition, but it needs some software installed that has not been issued yet, and they have no idea when it will be issued. So right now I find myself in a situation without the phone, and the seller refuses to give me back either the money or a new phone. He says it is my fault that the phone is in this condition now, even though the assistance centre gave a different statement (software).

(one red blink appears then one then 3 quick ones) It wont connect to the computer and its making me mad... Because of the led appearing i thought there was hope for it to work again.
