I have a bb bold 9000 and its been working but a couple of days ago it has not been turning on and i plugged it in but it still wont boot. 4 red blinking lights will appear but it wont turn on! (one red blink appears then one then 3 quick ones) It wont connect to the computer and its making me mad... Because of the led appearing i thought there was hope for it to work again.
i bought a bold second hand ages ago and it was working fine until one night when i came in to find my phone switched off with 4 shortish/medium flashing red lights in a sequence, hasnt been dropped or waterdamaged and i had no apps on it and the stock os as i only need it for emails and texts. i cant get it to be recognised by the computer and i know the wire isnt faulty as i borrowed my friends 7230 wire (mini usb is the same for both models) and her 7230 and her husbands 9000 is recognised with and without the battery by my pc and hers.ive tried the following:1. battery pull - 1 long red light then the continuous four medium flashes over and over, same when i plug it into a pc (no red light or battery icon at all when plugged in without a battery)2. using desktop manager - nothing happens no device detected3. using the jl_cmder - no device detected4. using apploader by itself - no device detected/ no way to get past the usb/com port screen as the 'next' button is greyed out5. using apploader through command /nojvm - no device detected/no way to get past the usb/com port screen6. quickly switching phones with my friend when her phone is recognised without a battery and a update is prompted, it sort of works by letting me choose the os but then says no device detected
My bb bold 9000 is dead. When i try to turn on, nothing happens. Only when i plug the charger in doe sit show any life with a blinking red led. It blinks pretty randonmly with one blink , then 4, ( I THINK ). How can i fix it and get it baqck on. The screen stays black and i have purchased a new battery, but no luck.
I just received a used blackberry bold 9000. I still have not been able to turn it on, it is black with a blinking led light (which only shows when plugged in to either the wall charger or USB). It blinks once (red) and then three times very quickly. I can not wipe the hardware because my computer does not recognize the device. Is there anyway to fix this? I do not want to return it if I can easily fix it.
My Curve 9300 shutdown on Sunday. When I plug it in, all it does is blinks once, the rapidly three more times, but the screen doesnt even light up or anything. It is ivisible to my PC.
Then i try to charge phone, it start blinking red and green lights. Can it be a battery problem, because then i try connect my phone with computer, PC comparison is trying to connect a phone about every 5 seconds, but wont connect.
Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.
Quick question. I am starting a new Job and they are getting me a superbasic Perl. I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...
I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.
At the top left of my N8 there is this blinking envelope and the 'sim card full' msg. appears as I touch it. no contacts and no sms on the sim card. Contacts > Options > Memory > SIM Memory - shows 0 Contact persons and Free=500.All SMS msgs are deleted (no unread sms). How to have this blinking stop?
my daughter broke her phone at the charger point i had this replaced and bought it home after being told to put it on charge as the bsttery was completely dead, this we have done but the light on the phone flashes twice stops for a couple of seconds and flashes again
I have had my 9900 for a couple months now and just a couple of days ago it started freezing up, I had to remove the battery every time it would freeze. So one day it froze took out the battery put it back in and never turned on. No lights nothing I even tired a new battery completely dead. So I was told my motherboard could be gone and said to return it to rim because of the one year warranty.
The screen goes black after the backlight comes on but the light does not return. Everything is functioning like I get notifications, I receive calls and bbm's but the thing is I can't check them because the screen is black. There is static as well at the top but it it is black and blurry, sometimes I could see the name of the service provider as well as the battery icon. What would work sometimes is if I do a battery pull but that is rare. Also if I lock the screen then wait a while and then press any button between the end call and receive it would come back on. But that is becoming rare as well. The system on the phone is full functional but its the screen that stays black.Sometimes if I'm lucky it would go away and I would be able to use the screen. But when that happens I would have to constantly be pressing a button to keep the phone active so it does not go on backlight setting from inactivity. U can imagine how annoying that is huh?
My BB 9900 will not turn on. I've given full charge the battery with a universal charger and when I put it only on the unit lights up red for 5 seconds then turns off. 10 seconds after the light is turned on again by liz 5 seconds and turns off .... repeating!
I have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).
A few days ago I pulled my phone out of the holster and It was really hot and when i looked at it i realized it was off, and wouldnt turn back on. just a red light comes on like normal upon a battery pull but after it turns off the red light comes back on again once more then stays off for good. unless i plug it in then it comes on and goes off all the time. I got it powered back up yesterday but then it did it again. Today I plugged it in and I saw a picture of a battery come up on the screen showing it as empty, i was hoping that meant it might charge up. but no such luck. My main objective is just to get the phone up long enough to back up the info on the phone.
How do u change the color of the indicator lights for alert messages. Say customized for a specific mail. The default customization only allows on or off for the led but doesn't allow color selection.
After a phone call my screen went dark and I have removed the battery, and replaced it. Then did the same thing again and removed the sim card. Nothing works. I've tried plugging it in and removing the battery. The light on the keys are on and I can place and receive calls but No Screen.
I bought my BB 9900 in Belarus. After a month and a half it went off with just the red LED blinking and would not switch on. The problem is that in the guarantee assistance centre I was told that the phone is in a good technical condition, but it needs some software installed that has not been issued yet, and they have no idea when it will be issued. So right now I find myself in a situation without the phone, and the seller refuses to give me back either the money or a new phone. He says it is my fault that the phone is in this condition now, even though the assistance centre gave a different statement (software).
So does anyone else run into this? You shut your BB off at night, and when you wake up in the morning the LED is blinking (mine is blinking 3 diff colors because I'm running Berry Buzz) notifying you of new email? I then turn it on, and yep, there definitely is new email!
So my phones led won't stop blinking even though I don't have any new messages or anything.. It jst blinks till u don't reboot it. I have already reinstalled my os twice then also this problem is there what to do?
I upgraded UT to 0.945, and for a reason it keeps blinking when I launch it, knowing that, there are no DM or mentions/replies posts. I'm sure it is something has to do with the options and it bugs the helll of me not finding it.
I have a remaining problem with LED blinking light:How to disable this red blincking LED while a call is in progress?I could not find the info on the internet.
I have this old 9700 I got from a friend that he says is bricked. I took a look at it and when I put a battery on it, it blinks twice, pause and blinks twice again. It does that and never loads. So I thought, this would be an easy fix. I would just reload the OS and it's good to go. But I was wrong.First thing I did is I went and installed an OS6 (.650) and tried the loader.exe but when I click on Next, it does't recognize a PIN, it says USB-PIN: UNKNOWN. I clicked on next nevertheless and tried to reload the OS but then it won't go past the Loading JVM step which is the second step I guess, being 'Erasing Applications' as the first one. I left it for a couple of hours and it still won't load the OS.Next thing I did is tried to wipe the phone using BBSAK, CrackUtil and JL_Cmder. With the CrackUtil, it says 'Phone not connected' while the JL_Cmder won't let me wipe it. It just keeps on going back to the Menu after I've typed 'blackberry'. The BBSAK won't recognize the phone either.I tried using Desktop Manager as well. It can see that the phone is a 9700 but on the PIN, it says 0.One more thing I noticed, when I put on the battery, the red blinks but when I take off the battery and just plug the USB cord, it won't do anything. My computer will do something (makes a sound and 'recognize' the device in a way) ONLY if I have the battery put on before I put the USB cord on. If it's the USB cord alone, without the battery, it stays dead. Which is weird since in my experience, my computer always recognize BlackBerry devices whether a battery is present or not when you plug the USB cord.Oh and BTW, now my computer doesn't read my phone anymore, whether I put the battery in or not. The phone keeps blinking though, when I have the battery on. Blinks twice, pause and do it all over again.
