My Curve 9300 shutdown on Sunday. When I plug it in, all it does is blinks once, the rapidly three more times, but the screen doesnt even light up or anything. It is ivisible to my PC.
View 4 RepliesI have a bb bold 9000 and its been working but a couple of days ago it has not been turning on and i plugged it in but it still wont boot. 4 red blinking lights will appear but it wont turn on! (one red blink appears then one then 3 quick ones) It wont connect to the computer and its making me mad... Because of the led appearing i thought there was hope for it to work again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Curve for just under 2 years and about a week ago it just stopped working. I was out with some friends when I happened to glance at my phone and noticed that the LED was glowing a solid white color. The LED was white for about 10 seconds then went out. After this the phone would not turn back on and the LED was a solid red color.
I figured my battery must be dead so I put it on the charger when I got home. After charging for hours I tried to turn it back on, with no luck. The LED was still solid red and would remain this way for hours. After some initial research, I decided to try and reload to OS. By this time, the LED light was flashing 4 times, pausing briefly, then flashing 4 times again, over and over.
I followed some of the guides others had posted about reloading the OS user the App Loader application. I got past the step of selecting the components I wanted to installed and clicked Next. The process started to work, but when it got to the "Intializing Phone" step it would return an error saying it could not detect the device. The whole time I was going through this process the USB connect/disconnect sounds were playing over and over again.
I continued to research and found out that the BlackBerry was actually in some kind of constant reboot cycle. That it why the USB sounds were playing repeatedly. I assume this is why the computer could not detect the device long enough to finish the installation process.
So this is basically where I am now. I got pretty frustrated with the whole scenario and left it for a few days. I picked my phone up yesterday and tried to turn it on. Initially there was no sign of life from the LED. I held the power button and the BlackBerry LED began to blink twice then pause, blink twice, pause, etc.
I would realy rather not have to pay another couple of hundred dollars for a phone but I can't go without a phone much longer. I am confident that I can get to the same error I did before, but can not get past that point.
For some reason the lights on my keypad have stopped coming on- I set the backlight options and that only affected the screen.

After that the loading screen appeared and started to load then the blackberry screen appeared. Initially I thought my battery must have depleted, but when I connect my BB to the wall charger the red light at the top right corner pops up, its there for 10 seconds or so. Then the screen shows the phone is charging for 4-5 seconds, post which the screen goes blank, completely blank. I have left it for couple of hours, but nothing happens.
Everytime the charger is disconnected and reconnected the same thing happens.
Even when I connect my BB with the USB cable same things happen - Red light for 10 seconds, shows its charging for 4-5 seconds and then black screen. The phone is not booting/starting up even after I had left it with charger for 2-3 hrs.
Blackberry Curve 8520: This morning I downloaded an app then rebooted my phone, because it required it. After that the loading screen appeared and started to load then the blackberry screen appeared. Now my phone is stuck on the BlackBerry screen, I took the battery out and tried to the my phone on again which didn't work, and I have also tried to connect it to my computer but it won't recognise it.

My blackberry worked great until Google Sync was dropped a few weeks ago. Now it has been a major headache to figure out an alternative. When I go to email setup, it just jumps to the end of the process, with my current email account already installed. I don't get a prompt for BlackBerry Internet Service anywhere.

Got home, I plug the BB 8530 to the computer, using BB Desktop Manager to transfer my contacts and calendar, then it just kept on booting for hours and hours.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI was using my Curve 8900 earlier today and it got hotter than usual and then I turned it off and later tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on, I then removed the battery and put it back in, the red/orange light came on (where the light is that informs you that you have a text.. etc) and then it wouldn't turn on.... I later charged it and it is now working again, is my battery dead??

- E Key is broken
- Alt Key is only functioning when using it in single use (so not possible anymore to hold the ALT key and type the symbols at the same time).
- Right Convenience key is not starting the camera anymore. I don't think its broken, because when my BB is asleep, and when i start pushing the right convenience key the screen does light up.
I tried a battery pull, but it doesn't solved my problems. I don't have any warranty anymore. So anyone with solutions, does a upgrade of the OS maybe works?
Just received new 8900 put in sim card and battery, connected charger and red led comes on for about 10 seconds then a battery with a red line through it appears on the screen. Can not power on. Is this icon normal when charging?
