View 2 RepliesI use a blackberry 9700. Recently, I tried opening my camera but it always says "Camera could not start. Close other applications and try opening again." I've closed all running applications in my phone but the Camera still won't start....
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I want to use the Camera on my curve it says (could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the Camera again)? How do I fix this as I am not aware of other app running?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to select my camera, my phone comes up with a black screen then a warning message saying "Could not start the camera, Close all other applications and try opening the camera again". I have gone thru every thing on my phone to make sure there is nothing open or running and cannot find anything.
I have also taken the battery out and started the phone up again. This has happened in the past, it stayed like this for a couple of weeks then all of a sudden one day it just worked, not sure what happened or why, but it would be great to have a quick fix solution to this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought Blackberry 9380 on July 9th..suddenly in mid-august the camera stopped working. It says close other applications before using camera. I went to the Blackberry service centre - they are saying water has been detected in the camera socket. I am very sure I didn't spill any water on my phone neither it fell into water. The cost estimate for repairing the camera is around Rs. 14000/-. Imagine a touch screen, 5 mp phone without operating camera.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Curve for about 2 years now.. and this is the only problem I've had with it since I got it. I went to use the camera yesterday and I get a message saying: "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and trying opening the camera again." The camera screen loads but it's black and it's not picking up anything....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my 9700 and I don´t really know if it is the phone or the battery. It shuts down when I use an aplication that needs power, like recording videos, websurfing, downloading/installing apps thats sort of stuff. It goes off, and I have to pull batt to get it started again. If I do it 3 times in a row for example, the battery goes down from 100% to 70% in just the time it needs to restart those 3 times.I tried to do a security wipe, reinstall the os (.862), taking out the micro sd and it keeps shuting down. I don´t know if it could be a battery problem or the phone. any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone and the camera doesn't work. I notice this seems to be a common problem with this model from other forums. The website fixes absolutely do not work. I've taken the battery out more than I can care to count. I stuck with a camera that doesn't work on this phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my fourth bold. Each one has had the same problem just shuts off in the middle of doing whatever just random reboots.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn my brother's 9700, he's experienced two random shut downs. He's with Rogers and has the latest OS installed (.743). He would notice that sometimes the phone sort of shuts off by itself. Normally he would keep the phone on standby or lock, but when he'd go to unlock the phone, he'd notice that none of the keys work (screen remains black). Normally the screen would light up and say that the phone is locked, but this doesn't happen. Then, he would hold down the End key for a couple of seconds to power up the phone, only the phone doesn't boot up from scratch. Instead, the Rogers splash screen would appear and it would go directly to his home screen. The phone is only about a week old and is brand new (not refurbished). Is there some sort of lock/standby feature that I'm unaware of that his phone is going into? Has anyone else experienced this?
View 14 Replies View RelatedLess than a week ago I purchased a blackberry bold 9700 brand new on craigslist. As soon as I got it i updated the software to 5.0.0.862 because on the crackberry i saw most people said it was a good build. I run 2 email accounts on my phone and use bbm. I noticed when i received 2 emails + a bbm at the same time the phone would shut off and i would need to do a battery pull to get it to start up again. But recently i noticed that the battery meter at the top left isnt updating properly. When the phones at 50% i still have 3 out of the 5 blocks. I notice that as it begins to dip a bit low past 50% the phone shuts off and when I just do a battery pull it doesnt seem to start up. Then when i plug in the power after some time the red led comes on and then a white screen with an empty battery shows up with a line through it. Then after a while it goes away and it starts up. Is anyone else facing this problem or know a solution
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anybody else experienced failures with this phone? I replaced my curve with a 9700 on an upgrade, only to have the brand new Bold 9700 completely die after 6 days. The next one lasted 14 days, and now I sit with my third broken 9700 that went a whopping 2 days.
Every time, the phone will be sending a text and then shut itself off. When I try to do a hard restart by pulling the battery, I get a constantly glowing red LED for a few seconds. Before getting the third phone, I had my SIM card replaced, memory card replaced, and got a whole new set of charging cords. Heck, I hadn't even charged it since I picked it up...
It's happened to me a couple times now. I just got this 9700 and it doesn't even warn me the battery is low, it actually has a bar or two in the battery icon and it just completely dies, so I have to plug it in to the USB and wait 5 minutes for it to start up, THEN it says it has a low battery. The phone has a generic wall charger.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo besides this miserable email issue (by the way, my emails having been comign through instantly for months now. I'll get like 12 at once then none for hours but I digress....). I just tried to take a picture with my lovely Torch and when I hit the "take" button it completely shuts down my phone. In order to turn it back on, I have to do a battery pull. I've tried it twice and both times, it turns the phone off. I was taking pictures earlier today just fine...

For some reason my camera does not start up. I'm presented with this message:
"could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening camera again"
Did 2 battery pulls with no success. Recently updated berryweather, but I doubt that's the problem.
