Jun 25, 2011my Bberry bold 9700's screen just all of a sudden shuts off, and I have to hold a button in for like 2mins before it comes on, how can I resolve?

Aug 17, 2010I have a problem with my 9700 and I donīt really know if it is the phone or the battery.It shuts down when I use an aplication that needs power, like recording videos, websurfing, downloading/installing apps thats sort of stuff. It goes off, and I have to pull batt to get it started again.If I do it 3 times in a row for example, the battery goes down from 100% to 70% in just the time it needs to restart those 3 times.I tried to do a security wipe, reinstall the os (.862), taking out the micro sd and it keeps shuting down. I donīt know if it could be a battery problem or the phone. any idea?

Feb 14, 2010went from 100% this morning (charged overnight) to 40% 2 hours later with no usage other than sending 2 emails! No new apps running - nothing. I normally get at least a day and a half of usage.

Aug 23, 2010On my brother's 9700, he's experienced two random shut downs. He's with Rogers and has the latest OS installed (.743). He would notice that sometimes the phone sort of shuts off by itself. Normally he would keep the phone on standby or lock, but when he'd go to unlock the phone, he'd notice that none of the keys work (screen remains black). Normally the screen would light up and say that the phone is locked, but this doesn't happen. Then, he would hold down the End key for a couple of seconds to power up the phone, only the phone doesn't boot up from scratch. Instead, the Rogers splash screen would appear and it would go directly to his home screen. The phone is only about a week old and is brand new (not refurbished). Is there some sort of lock/standby feature that I'm unaware of that his phone is going into? Has anyone else experienced this?

Aug 24, 2010Less than a week ago I purchased a blackberry bold 9700 brand new on craigslist. As soon as I got it i updated the software to 5.0.0.862 because on the crackberry i saw most people said it was a good build. I run 2 email accounts on my phone and use bbm. I noticed when i received 2 emails + a bbm at the same time the phone would shut off and i would need to do a battery pull to get it to start up again. But recently i noticed that the battery meter at the top left isnt updating properly. When the phones at 50% i still have 3 out of the 5 blocks. I notice that as it begins to dip a bit low past 50% the phone shuts off and when I just do a battery pull it doesnt seem to start up. Then when i plug in the power after some time the red led comes on and then a white screen with an empty battery shows up with a line through it. Then after a while it goes away and it starts up. Is anyone else facing this problem or know a solution

Feb 8, 2010Has anybody else experienced failures with this phone? I replaced my curve with a 9700 on an upgrade, only to have the brand new Bold 9700 completely die after 6 days. The next one lasted 14 days, and now I sit with my third broken 9700 that went a whopping 2 days.
Every time, the phone will be sending a text and then shut itself off. When I try to do a hard restart by pulling the battery, I get a constantly glowing red LED for a few seconds.Before getting the third phone, I had my SIM card replaced, memory card replaced, and got a whole new set of charging cords. Heck, I hadn't even charged it since I picked it up...

Aug 21, 2010My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

Jun 11, 2013I unlocked my phone today to find that the screen had some very thin/fine rainbow colored vertical distortion lines on the screen. They seemed to have been pulsating (as if someone was holding another electromagnetic object close to it or something) and it looked like static distortion. I checked multiple screens and apps and they all resulted in the same discolored distortion lines.
I had to completely power down my phone and turn it back on. After that, it was OK. First time I had this type of experience so far...

Jan 25, 2016A week now since purchasing the 950 xl. Has been a learning curve trying to get all contacts and other stuff lined up. Switched from android. love the phone but the thought to return has crossed a couple times. There is a few things i just cant find answers to. i have posted another question as well.
today i was at about 23% for battery. the saver kicks in below 10% but all of the sudden the screen became quite darker. not as vivid as it has been every day. i plugged into charger, no change. i had to reboot the phone for the screen to go back to being vivid.

Jun 26, 2015While I was taking some pictures, my Xperia Z3 decided to turn its screen black, without any reason. The colors faded and in a few seconds the screen went blank. I know my phone is stll working because when I plug my earphones in it, music starts to play, the notfication led turns on, it vibrates when I get mesages and the volume and camera buttons make noise when I press them. I have tried turning it off and doing a soft reset but nothing happened, and my phone is only a few months old!

Aug 20, 2011My LCD screen recntly broke for my bb bold 9700.I ordered one off ebay, not knowing that there were several screen versions for the same phone.I disposed the broken one, installed the new one, and did not work.I took it to a repair center to see if they could help me out but they need the original version of the screen so that they can replace it.The problem is that I dont have the old screen so I cant tell them which version was it.is there any way I can tell which screen version my bb is intended to use without having the original screen? maybe be SN? bb model?

Mar 25, 2015I have a Lumia 1520, and everything is awesome, but lately, the phone acts up in the way that the 3 buttons get pushed out of a sudden and screen becomes unresponsive, when not even holding the phone. Restarting works, but only for a period of time. I noticed if the place where the sensor is, near the earpiece, is clean, it does not act up like this. Phone was dropped once, but the problem did not appear util very later - 1-3 months. I used the Nokia Recovery Tool to install and re-install the OS, problem is still there.

When put in email (surname) settings (which still work on laptop) receive the following: "'The information you provided is incorrect. Retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive".
Am at a complete loss and can't resolve (which I need to do within 36 hrs because am going overseas and need my BB to be working!
