IPhone 5s :: Can One Prevent Changes To Their Contact Book

My brother is 22 was gifted an iPhone 5S. It has greatly aided in communication skills and growth with family members and close family friends. Due to this, he has gotten ahold of our large family phonebook and added every number, home/work/school email/physical address, birthday, etc. to his Contact Book on his iPhone. However, some of the contact information we have isn't valid anymore and yet, he still contacts these numbers via text, phone call, or email.
After logging onto his iCloud account and deleting these outdated contacts, he cleverly re-added these numbers in. We want to give my brother his privacy to communicate with family/friendss, but we do not like that he keeps trying contact these outdated contacts.Â
Is there a way to prevent the addition or edit of contacts in his contact book? I understand that there are parental controls that allow one to prevent the addition, edit, or deleting of mail, contact, or calendar accounts, however, it doesn't seem to disable the addition/edit/deleting of actual contacts. Ideally, we'd like to be able to delete numbers and addresses that aren't valid, and then "freeze" the addition of more numbers from him...Â
On iPhone 4s, how do I prevent personal email accounts (yahoo, gmail) from accessing my work email contact list? I want to keep my work contact list private.
When I add a new contact to my IPhone 4s Address Book ("Contacts") it sometimes crashes if you enter all the information and tap "done". It doesn't crash if you first enter the first/last name - tap done - open the contact and edit it. After "Contacts" crashes the new entry is not saved.
It is very annoying especially if you are on the go or you ask the person 3 times for their contact details...
I currently have my iPhone contacts synched with my Macbook Pro address book. I am wondering if there is a way to delete contacts from my phone, while keeping them in the address book of my Macbook? I have many contacts that I would like to keep permanently for future use, but am hoping to clean up the contacts on my actual phone. Each time I delete a contact from the iPhone, the contact is simultaneously deleted from my Macbook address book.
Have had my Curve for ages and added a contact a day or so ago. Upgraded some applications from BB World (don't know if there is a connection) and tried adding a new contact but this error message appears: Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (216) is not responding; process terminated (by the way the two upgrades were for Twitter and BB Messenger)Is it coincidence that I've just installed a couple of upgrades and this has now happened?
how I manually add a contact. I had a look at the help page and it tells me to open Timescape and do it that way. But it's a new phone and I don't have any records in there. I jusr want to add some more contacts. I know I can do this via my Google contacts but there must be a simple way to do it on the phone, but I just can't find it.
I cannot modify or add a new contact in my book address on my mobile. Type of mobile is BlackBerry 9700 Bold. I have already restart the phone by dismantling the battery 3 to 4 times. What shall I do to make the application works?

I don't know how it happened but when I was composing an SMS message I noticed that I have the same contact twice with the same numbers. Some of the contacts are just copies and some have a facebook name on it. I have tried deleting and reinstalling facebook but the issue is still there. My question is: is there I way I can quickly delete all this duplicate contacts without doing it one by one?

I am using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).I need to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature from my device.Prior to the activation of the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, I was successfully syncing my Google contacts with the Default address book on the device. Now that the AT&T Address Book has been activated, syncing with my Google contacts is no longer possible.I have not discovered how to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature. The only option available is to "sync now" (with AT&T Address Book).

when i save a contact (mobile number), then later on or a few hours later, i cannot find that contact saved in my address book. this has hapenned multiple times to me.
How much Contacts can I save in my Nokia N97 32GB? I have just now synchronized the phone with my Outlook contact folder (3800 contacts). Memory details of adressbook show 3800 contacts and 2058 KB used space. But if try to search for a contact I get a message: contacts memory is full, close programs and try again. What can I do to solve this issue?
New here and a tad bit upset with my failure to synch the address book. I had it in originally, I used a 'skype out' product to export skype contacts to Outlook, then I usefully synced to Outlook, but had a bunch of repeated addresses. Found a solution to delete address book and to reimport from Outlook. Successfully deleted address book on BB. Tires to sync but now it fails to do so. I have reinstall 1, battery, 2, SIM card, 3 desktop program. The synch starts - to be certain- I even go so far as the option to approve the sync or snot. Then it begins to do the syncing and the countdown of addresses yet to by synced clicks downward, as it should, then there's a 'bink' sound, and then nothing, and I check my BB, and no addresses have moved over. I have tried SEVRAL TIMES even 'syncing all' I have arranged for the synch to be for the addresses only. I have arranged for it to be from the computer to the BB. Hopeless. Extremely frustrated.
This might sound like a silly question but i've set up facebook on my blackberry which is fine, then my mom brought the same one and asked me to set up hers aswell for her, and somehow on my moms i managed to do something that made peoples facebook pictures come up as there contact photo in her address book, but now i cant figure out how to do it on mine! lolll. On the Cliq I never had this problem. On the Cliq2 when people update their FB default pictures, it doesn't sync and update them in my address book anymore. Motorola said it should but it doesn't. They offered me a new phone but hello this is my second Cliq2 that it hasn't worked on. Apparently it's not the phone. It's motoblur!
How can I "move" a contact in the phonebook to, for example, a TouchDown contact?I have a number of contacts as "phone contacts" but want them also/instead in my touchdown contacts so that they sync with outlook/exchange?
I was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....
My wife was playing Angry Birds earlier today and an extremely graphic ad for BaDoink popped up.It advertised for you to "Download our First of all, since allowed on an Apple device? I purposely bought two iPhones and a new iPad because of the perceived safety with iOS. My children have been using the iPhones and iPad.I now have ZERO trust that it's safe to have them use the devices.Second, since I didn't see this occur, it appears that from what I did see that this was one of the "Ads" that pop up while you play Angry Birds. Why in the world would the creators of Angry Birds - a game played by children connected with their game?And third, how do I prevent this from ever happening again. I turned restrictions "On" after my wife showed me the ad. Is that good enough to prevent this?
I will receive an iPhone 4 in the beginning of next week and if I've understood things correctly I will have to plug it into my Mac and activate the phone with iTunes. When doing this, will it also auto update iOS to the newest version (4.0.2) without asking? If so, can I prevent it?I'm asking because this will be my first iPhone and I want to be able to jailbreak it, jailbreaking iOS 4.0.2 is not possible today as far as I know.
So I lost some mail when I was cleaning up my iPhone, thinking that the mail was already on the Mac, as it is whenever I log on. Lo and behold, I lost some three months of mail! What to do? Do I have to phyiscally email each email that I get on iCloud to my mac account,or even gmail account? I am getting confused.... as I thought the iCloud was a huge server in the sky that I could access anytime, anywhere, on any planet.
How can I block email from accessing my i-phone? How can I prevent Outlook from syncing with my i-phone? THis was not a problem before updating to the new 5.1 version.
I have an iPhone 4 16 gb black and since updating to ios 5.11 the phone has been running above normal temperature and has severe battery drain (10 mins - 1%) on standby mode. I would be grateful If I could get a quick reply as not to prematurely use up battery life cycles unnecessarily. Any way to extend life cycles from a battery and does using the battery whilst keeping it plugged in pause the life cycle process?
How to prevent automatic sync(e.g mail or notifications from apps) whenever 3G is on. I want WiFi for this work just to save my cellular data. unless i open particular app for update/refresh.
In detail: Whenever i want to use safari for browsing via 3G data, automatically other apps useses internet e.g mail automatically sync with respective accounts and also hundereds of notifications show up which unneccessarily drains my battery as well as 3G data. i just want to use WiFi for any sort of syncing process. In nutshell, i want 3G for only those apps which is presently opened by me while 3G is on. But i dont mind if any apps uses internet while using Wifi is connected!
