Asha 30/40 Series :: Add A Contact Number From Phone Book?
Dec 21, 2011
Does anyone know if there is a way to add a contact number from the phone book when composing a text message on the c2 o2? Usually Nokia's have an option which allows you to "insert contact"
My contacts are saved both on my sim card and on the phone itself. However, recently, whenever any of my contacts phone, all i get coming up is a number and not their name.
I have become the proud owner of an old (estimate 6 years) Nokia prepaid phone. How do I find its model number? Looking at the pictures of phones on the Nokia website, nothing jumps out at me. Was owned by a family member who recently passed away. No paperwork, not even how many minutes/time left on the prepaid card.
im unable to save the number either in phone memory or sim card directly from call history list in Nokia Asha 305 handset.. Due to this, i have to save the contact by dialing number myself in screen and save it to the contact list.
The phone only shows both contacts that are in the phone and the ones in SIM. I can't remove the SIM ones one by one... Do I have to put SIM card in another phone and erase contacts in SIM or is there any other way. I couldn't find it anywhere in options.
Today I have experienced international call (from The Netherlands). The remote telephone number shown in the displayer begun with +4831 instead of +31 (48 is my country code, and 31 is Dutch country code), so whole was too long.Maybe it is only small bug, but it makes hard to distinguish international calls from local calls. I had to count amount of digits in telephone number. Also when I want to recall on this number I had to write it manually.
I have a simple Nokia phone. It's a very good phone. It's a 2690 model. In Contacts there is a option called "My Numbers" that list my own number. But it displays a wrong number that it's not my number. I cannot find an option to change it. It only displays the number and doesn't show an option to change it.
Does anyone know how to update/change or delete it? Can I do it using PC Suite or Ovi Suite?
i have nokia Asha202. there is no option to insert contact no. in sms. there is an option to send business card but it changes text msg. into Mms which is costly and need GPRS/EDGE service..
I have an 5310 xpress music phone. I only want to ask that, is there a way, to see how many times a person has called me in the Call log?If the same person calls me multiple times I only see the last call in the Missed Calls. Is there a way to see how many times I've been called?
is it possible to assign for each contact which SIM card to use when making call? All I could find was just either set the default SIM for calls or ask every time which card to use. I have SIM where I can make free calls to particular numbers and second SIM for all other calls/sms/data and I don't want to select every time which SIM to use when making a call.
Is it possible to use the contact sync with the Asha phones (302, 303, 200, 201, 300, etc.)? I am unable to see the option and under synchronisation and backup I am being asked to enter server details etc. which I don't have. On my other Nokia phones (S60 or S^3) they all have a Contact Sync functionality.
I have a big contact list and there are contacts with middle names. But I can't understand how can I see contact's middle name in my Nokia Asha 302 contact list.is it possible to view middle names in contact list? I don't want to edit all middle names by concatenating first and middle name.
I have a Nokia c2-03 phone and when I updated the phone's software using the phone itself, it said after updating and installing the new software : contact service, and the phone crashed, Nokia is truly getting low.
was editing my contact list on my Nokia 6303 ci when unintentionally the battery has been removed. Now all the contacs on phone memory are vanished!! while I still have the contacts which were on my SIM card. ( I have checked memory in use and switched it between Phone and SIM , but it does not work) Is there a way for me ? (for sure in order to recover the contacs on phone memory and not to vanish the rest on SIM!
Just got my wife a Motorola Gleam and trying to set it up.First thing I need to do is transfer phonebook entries from her old phone or PC to the Gleam and can't see how to do this. I tried Motorola Phone Tools V5 and it didn't recognise the phone.
I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?
Okay so I am interested in a 3G phone but I am not interested in paying $30 a month for 3G service. I don't need 3G service and I would be fine without it. The phone would have been free anyway because of buying another phone, so $360 for the first year of 3G just isn't worth it.
there used to be a nokia which had a special feature where you could have entered a message and afterwards you had to shake the phone and some (i think red) leds wer displaying the message in the "air".
I used my phone extensively for a little more than a couple of years. Yesterday night the battery died and I connected the charger and started it. I got an error on startup saying "Contact Service".
I heard this sort of thing is normally solved by a firmware reflashing. But I need my contacts and calendar.
