i find myself having to charge my phone at least once a day, its an xperia ray (st18i) how can i make my battery last longer? i've tried various apps to try and increase my battery life but none have been as effective as id like and i still have to charge frequently.
Yesterday i bought Xperia Z5 dual, i like it, it is a fantastic phone, i liked every thing in it but i have one problem, THE BATTERY. the Battery runs out quickly. when i use snapchat in 5 minutes the battery lose at least 3% also in youtube and games. Wi-FI scaninig, location, NFC, bluetooth are off, the brghtness is under 40%. i don't know why, is it from my phone or is it a mistake from the company.
I've been having a problem the last few days. My GPS icon stays on continuously and ***** the battery dry. I've seen issues where it will stay on for 12 hours. Even though I thought that was abnormal, it would eventually turn off and resume normal function.
Now it is just running non-stop and the only way for me to stop it is to manually turn off the GPS.
I've recently bought Xperia z2 but right now i'm having severe battery drain issue. At the first day it showed me average time of one & half day but right now its draining much faster & i'm only getting battery life of 13-14 hrs, only using wifi & music app. stamina mode is active but still no progress. How to reduce battery drain? i've seen some post in this blog where people said they are getting battery life of around 4 days.
Since I updated my Xperia X8 to Android 2.1 it is very quickly discharging. It lasts about only 1 day. And when I have a call it takes about 6 % from charge. I have all application closed and tried all advise from guide.
on my second blackberry bold 9900 it drains the battery in a day or less have changed out the battery once before the battery runs very hot according to the installed software , dont have anything running in the background does anyone have a similar problem? also it wont hold the bluetooth pair with my Kia forte
I use BB Torch, have observed with dismay how the phone gets hot & battery runs low in 2-3 hours. This is getting fraustrated & hope some one in house has way out.Could it be my battery?
I've had the curve model 8530 for about 14 months. I charge it at night and un plug it and go to work in the morning. It stays charged throughout the day and only would run down - about 30% - 50% if I am talking on the phone while taking the train home (about 40 minutes). Since yesterday, it totally ran all the way down before 2 Pm without any unusual usage - just checking some emails occasionally. It was charged fully this morning and I took the charger to work with me and had to recharge it twice already. How do I find out if the battery is bad?
Just got my new phone, less than a week. Last night I forgot to plug in to charge and the battery died at 2:53 AM... (Still showing on the edge of the screen). Plugged it in for more than 2 hours now it doesn't respond to anything. Hold the power button and so on... Nothing.
I've experienced my TN765 shutting itself down because of lower battery power, even when it's plugged in via USB to a car charger.I realise that the battery will only charge if the device is turned off, that is fine, but it seems that it loses battery power even if it's powered. It's a very slow loss of charge, but on a long trip it can lose it all and shut down unexpectedly. And it isn't the charger working loose because the 'external power' icon is always displayed. It's a Motorola cigarette lighter plug charger. Is that normal and does it do this with the official mount or just on the USB?
I have an E52 and I can't turn off the WLAN. I set everything to off but still when turn on my home access point it connects to it almost instantly and the battery runs off easilly. WLAN scan is set to off, show wlan availability is set to never, and when it sees networks around it shows the two parentheses around the antenna in the main screen (( I )), and when it sees my access point it connects.
After update to ver 50 my 5800 battery runs down in a few hours, even if I make no calls, it also has become very unresponsive, hard to scroll, it was fine until update, I tried my spare new battery and it is exactly the same, no apps are running, wifi is off, and it gets hot occasionaly.
I have a BB Torch, which I bought new about a month ago. It works fine except that the battery has now started running out quickly (after about 16hrs from a full charge) , even when the phone is switched off overnight.
I have removed two new apps that I thought might be the problem (Add Contact and Data monitor app), but it has not really made any difference. I have since followed the advice on this Forum to dim the screen and reduce the timeout.
my Pearl 9105 runs out of battery so it goes into sleep mode, I tried to recharge it but it just wont wake up again. I tried removing the battery and SIM card
My blackberry battery runs-down faster, I used a fully charged battery for just 15mins. I don't know whats wrong. My blackberry is Storm 1. I have just replaced the battery with new one, but its still doing the same thing.
I got a Nokia Lumia 1520 last week. Coming from an HTC One (M7), I am still impressed with the smoothness of Windows Phone OS -rarely I get any loading for an app. Moreover Metro has come a long way since the days of ZuneHD.
However I got a slight problem with the date/ time. Both the date and time gets reset back to 20 July 2013, 03:00 after the battery runs out or I try a soft reset.I already tried:
1) Setting the time on manual; it will reset back to manual time and the date/time above. 2) Setting the time on automatic, will still get reset back to manual and the wrong date/time. 3) Instead of setting the phone on 4G, I used the 3G and automatic. Same as above. 4) Setting the date manually and then to automatic, keeps the date/time I setup manually. 5) Turning the device off and on again (not soft reset with the volume key) will keep the date/ time regardless if it was set manually or manually and then automatically.
Not sure if this has been mentioned on here before, there is a bug which makes the operating system power hungry all the time, it seems to cause the phone to lag if you try to run more than one thing at once, another thing you might notice is when opening the Gallery the pictures take ages to load. If you want to try changing the setting which cures all the above go to: menu, settings, applications, development then select USB Debugging. Give it a try, you can always change it back again if you're not convinced, I've found Gallery now loads almost instantly, boot up time is really quick, all screens are completely smooth when navigating around, never lags, Iplayer works much better and best of Battey life is massively better. There is another app to show how much power various parts of the phone is using, before the operating system was always around 35% for me, now its always around 2%. Just thought people might like to give it a try!
This just happened recently. I can feel the thing in my pocket heating up. The battery goes from full charge to empty in the matter of a couple hours.
Oddly though, this morning it said I had no service and my phone was normal temp and the battery lasted a long time. Or course i needed services so I turned the phone off and on and the service was back and so was the hot phone.
The phone is over a year old. I've tried all of the trick. Hard Reboot. Reset all of my settings etc.
