Jul 17, 2012I have a contact for my home landline number, and the number is correct (i.e. it works when I call home). The contact also has a picture, and a custom ringtone.When I phone the N8 from the home number, it doesn't use the custom ringtone, it doesn't show the picture, and when I look in the log, it hasn't recognised the call as coming from my contact, but it has got the correct phone number (proving that I'm not masking the number on calls from the home landline).
Is there something special I have to do to persuade the N8 to accept UK landline calls, and match them up with my contacts? I've checked my contacts, and only one contains the home landline number, so the N8 is not finding the wrong contact.My wife's mobile works just fine, so the basic mecanism is OK. I just needto persuade the N8 that 01420555555 = 01420555555 (I changed a few digits, to hide my actual number?

Nov 3, 2011When I receive a sms message sometimes, the original text comes through fine.However, a few minutes later I get small bits and pieces of the original message sent to me in about 10 separate text messages ( sometimes more ) from a California telephone number (I live in Mass.). When I call that number from my Bionic, it goes right ot my voice mail voice mail. When I call the number from a landline, it states that the call cannot be completed.

May 20, 2011I 'm just opening a new discussion after SONY decided to buy the rest 50% of Ericsson's stocks.Last night I was furious with some news I read from SE and was also furious with something I found out when.I tried to connect to SE PC Companion. But let's take things from the beginning.
I'm a NON proud owner (no more) of a SE XPERIA X10. I bought this phone for 600 Euro, almost a year ago The support and solutions I found to my problems with this phone was absolutely NONE! Nobody cares if you have a problem with a 600 Euro piece and you have almost no support from SE. We spent 8 months trying to persuade SE to release 2.3.3 for X10 only to find out that half of the things were removed from the phone and that most of the things you can do with PC Companion Wirelessly with all the other phones, you CANNOT do them with X10!!! Not to mention the speed of the phone.

Aug 27, 2010Every time I plug in my phone to my mac, the phone offers me to install the PC software. My computer always says that it doesn't recognize the software. I haven't seen what the PC software actually is, but I'm assuming that it makes transferring files between the devices quite simple. Because I have no software to transfer files, the only way I can transfer files is to open up the original hard files of the memory card. This makes things very difficult because there are important folder deep inside the card and I don't want to risk messing up anything important.Are there any software programs for the Mac that work with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10?

There is no signal indicator appearing on the upper part of the screen like 3G/HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS. Just plain signal bars. Is that ok? Is the signal means GSM only and no Data signal?
But when I tried to used other mobile operator like Smart Telecom, it perfectly worked.

Sep 14, 2012Today, while i was recharing my Sony Xperia Neo V using the USB Cable connected to my desktop, i have received a call for which i have disconnected the phone from charing and attended the call.
After my call, have observed my phone restarting automatically. From that time, my mobile was very hot. It is hot at receiver location. Which is at the top of the phone. I have dismanteled the phone, expecting it would be fine after some time, but it remained hot for around 1 hour. Finally i have removed battery from the case and kept it open.
After 30 min, mobile is in normal condition and i again switched on the mobile. 75% of the battery fell to 1 % in hardly 5 min. I connected the USB again to recharge the mobile, but the battery was charged to at most 4 % , but mobile got heated up again. I decided to remove the battery and switched off the phone for around 5 hours.Later when i tried starting the phone, it was not starting, not charging. Tried multiple times,but not charing, when ever i connect to charge, phone is becoming really hot.
