Xperia Z2 :: Why Does Sony Not Recognize Headphones
Aug 31, 2015
I have beats solo HD headphones (about 3 years old) and have purchased sony Xperia z2 few months ago. Why does sony not recognize the headphones when I connect it? Is it problem with sony itself or the beats? I think it's generally android problem, since it does connect to samsung s4, but doesn't connect to relatively old htc phone and my Xperia.Â
My iPhone no longer recognizes when I plug in headphones or any other external audio device. A software upgrade fixed this problem once, but the problem has come back and upgrades won't fix it. No matter what I plug into the headphone jack, audio continues to play out of the phone speakers. I'm outside of my warranty and not near an Apple store.
My problem: Some days ago I noticed that there is something with my cable-connection at my W760i. When I hear music with Headphones it sounds very strange. Sometimes the singer is away and I can only hear the Background music or the music is only on one ear. I've tested the cable if the problem is there, but no it is ok. And the charger and the PC-cable are working without faults too. So there must be a Defect at the phone, I think. I want to send my W760i to Sony Ericsson, because I've still warranty, but I can't find any address.
Since I did the iOs 5.1.1 update last night, when I dock my iPhone 4s on my Sony RDP XF-100iP sound dock, I get a message on the iPhone telling me that the accessory is not recognized by the iPhone and the dock won't work with the iPhone. It worked fine before. I have an iPod and it still works, so the problem appears to be with the iPhone. I tried a hard reset and still get the same problem.
My 350a doesnt see the memory card. When I go to the file "file manager" and move over one to the "on memory stick" it states "memory stick not inserted"The memory card works fine, as I can remove it, insert it into a M2 adaptor, then into my PC and access/retrieve files.I have tried reinstalling the software on the phone via the update service, I have reset the phone (master reset)I have also formated the memory stick but still no success When I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cord the PC does not see the memory stick through the phone either. Is there something that I have missed or am not doing that I should be?
I just bought W205, couse my good old W880i died on me. In start there were some broblems, because it didn´t recognise any of music files from my 2G memory card. Well i run software update, even it was up to date and hey, it allmost worked. Now the music player regognises mp3 files just fine, but files that are in m4a format, (that i got most of my music) is not regognised. It cant handle them in proper way. It shows songs names, but dont put them in proper albumwiew, and wont play them at all. That´s very weird, because i had no broblem with them on my old W880i. If i go to filehandling and browse memorycards files from there, they works just fine, but that is not actually musicplayer, isn´t it! So. How can i play my music files in this MUSIC-phone i just bought?
My phone rings, gets message notifications etc all normally. The problem I have is when I watch videos or want listen to music and play games etc, I get no sound unless I use headphones.
I just returned home from abroad where I was using a local sim card rather than my own. When I use a different sim card, the settings inevitably get messed up. My phone now won't recognize my headphones after Throw kicks in. What happens is that I can get music to play if I manually stop Throw. As soon as Throw restarts, the music stops playing on my headphones and goes to my external speaker. My phone won't give me the option of disabling Throw. I've tried disabling Smart Connect, disabling the headphone compatibility app, adjusting settings in throw and Smart Connect, and still have gotten nowhere after hours wasted. Losing patience.
Is there a way to have the ringtone or notification sounds come through the headphones while listening to music? I know the music gets interrupted but it would be nice if it just rang in the headphones.
My xperia ray has good sound quality on the external speaker regarding hights. Female voices for example sound fine. But on a good headphone (i use the beyerdynamic DTX 101 IE and tried others) heights quality is sub-par. Now i am wondering, did Sony use bad hardware here or bad software? Is there any chance this can be fixed with an update?I really like the phone but this bothers me a bit especially as the phone plainly has the technology to recreate the sound adequately (the speaker works fine).
Since the last update (17.1.1.A.0.402) headphones are not detectend when connected to the phone. Â It applies to the noise cancelling and standard headphones. Â Headphones work just fine (tested on a different audio player).
I bought an Xperia Z5 yesterday, and everything is working fine apart from my headphones not being recognised at all. Â Firstly I tried my decent headphones which have an inline pause button which I've previously used without problem with my old android phone (Nexus 4), and the phone doesn't detect them at all, music still plays fully through the speakers. Â I then plugged in an old pair with no inline controls, and they half played the music, (really low volume), with volume still coming out of the speaker. Â I looked back at the issues seen on the Z3 and downloaded the soundabout app and tried to force the sound through the headphones, still nothing. I deleted the cache of the smart connect, chose the "music on the go option" and rebooted the phone. Â Now I can get music properly through my old rubbish headphones without a button, but still nothing at all through my decent headphones with a button., with or without using the soundabout app. Â Is this an issue with the headphone jack that i'll need to send the phone back for repair? Or is it a compatibility issue..(the headphones are "android" headphones so I find this doubtful? Â The headphones 100% work.
I'm here because I have a problem with my brand new Xperia Z3, it does not detect my headphones (it's the Hyper X Cloud II). It detects other headphones.
It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music. Â That's why I'm here to ask you, is there a fix for this or not ? (I'm under Android 5.1.1, more precisely 23.4.A.1.232 and my phone is a D6603).
I got a Xperia X10 upto date with Android 2.1 update1 recently but I found that I cant listen to the music using the headphones. The headphones work when making calls or for that matter I can also listen to the ringtones or any sound other than music with the headphones.
i decided to use the headphones that didnt come with the phone for a change, but imagine to my surprise, it didn't work. Even after connecting, when i tried playing a song, it didnt play through the headphones, but rather still through the speaker. What could be the reason?? Its working fine on other phones as well as on my PC.
I just switched from my iPhone 3GS to the X10 and I noticed that my favorite headphones don't seem to work with it.. how can I get it to other than holding on the metal button..
At work I use headphones, and I want phone calls etc. to call with sound only in my headphones, and call silent when headphones are disconnected. As it is now it rings from the speakers of the phone, even if headphones are connected. Â I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....
I have a question I want to know if it is normal that when I have connected the headphones listening to music incoming calls can be heard on the speaker and headphones but the sound is low ...
I tried lot's of models but none of them let me control volume levels. Since the xperia z 3 is a big phone and I carry it in my pocket all the time, sometimes it's really hard to reach the phone to lover or increase the music level. It's a big shame that sony doesn't think of it.
I've just purchased the Experia Z5 compact when I plug my new Sony headphones into the device I can hear the music perfectly but it also plays through the speakers at the same time.....
I've only had this phone for a couple of weeks and thought I'd give the radio a go but it comes up saying 'Please connect the headphones or handsfree. They work as the radio antenna.'. I am using the headphones that came with the phone.
