View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

View 10 Replies View RelatedToday I plugged my headphones in and waited for smart connect to disable clear audio plus since it hurts my ears with headphones... It didn't do that, I tried disabling it manually but I couldn't access audio settings in music app... It just wouldn't do anything when I clicked on it, then it said this: [URL] .... and when I did go to settings, sound, audio settings it again said the same thing... I've restarted my phone like 5 times to no avail... And I've checked running apps and there's nothing that could do this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI was prompted to have a software update by PC Companion with build no. 4.1.B.0.587 and it was successfully installed in my phone.
However, I noticed that I am unable to listen to music, I can't hear my phone ringing, The receiver of my calls cannot hear my voice (low sound), No sound on notifications, no sound for the alarm and slower wifi connection. I can only obtain sounds if I connect to an earset. For your information, volumes settings were checked and found to be set at almost 80% max level. Is there a change in the sound settings?
I recently purchased a brand new HTC 1 M9.
The phone works fine apart from when I listen to music with my headphones plugged in. For the first 10-15 minutes there is no problem at all. Then what starts to happen is the volume starts to decrease automatically right down to zero. I can actually see this happening on the screen as it is decreasing. Even though I try to turn it up it is battling with me & wants to turn the volume down. I don't tend to get this problem with the headphones I got with the phone but it seems to happen with some decent headphones I prefer to use.
I did read a post earlier about disabling "fast boot mode" in Settings >> Sounds but I cant even see anything regarding "fast boot mode".
I'm planing to switch to Lumia 930 from iPhone 5s, and so far, everything what i've found convinced me to make a switch except audio quality when listening to the (local) music. I just really can't find impressions from actual user about this. Many people are telling me that audio quality with in ear headphones is terrible, cant even be compared with iPhone 5s' sound quality. But honestly I doubt that it can be THAT BAD on one flagship phone.
I'm using iphone since 3g, i switched once to Galaxy S (when it was released) then after couple of months moved back to iphone, and another trip to android last year with Xperia Z but couldn't wait to get rid of android once again. Quality on both android phones was noticeably worse than on any iphone i used. I don't want to make same mistake again since listening to the music on the phone is a big thing for me.
An odd thing has been happening to my Samsung Galaxy S6 recently, and I have had no luck at resolving this issue so far. When plugging headphones or any other auxiliary cords into my phone to listen to music, all of the audio coming through the headphones is muffled, like it is playing from behind a window. I have done many things to try to resolve this issue, including trying different headphones and restarting my phone, but no luck. It was only when I tried something else that I concluded that this issue is not hardware related. When I used a 3rd party music application (in this case Spotify), the first second of whatever audio is playing comes out perfectly fine, but very quickly switches to the muffled audio. I have also figured out that only while on Spotify can I temporarily prevent this issue from occurring by opening up the default music app on my S6. This somehow changes the already playing music from muffled, to regular.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a small crack on the very top left of my 3GS around the metallic frame that has coincided with a problem with the audio when adding headphones.
I suppose I'm trying to diagnose whether the impact of this crack could have damaged in some way the audio jack to cause audio problems when fully inserting the headphones. If I insert the headphones 1/2 way the audio is as new, but obviously as they're not fully inserted makes it tricky to listen without having to support the jack to provide the connection.
I've tried fully inserting a similar jack linked to my stereo, however, and the audio is as new!?!? I've also tried the headphones out of another iPod to see whether that is causing a problem as well as attempting to clean the jack and blow any dust out but to no avail.

Experiencing static or hissing sound over speakerphone and headphones? This is improved by turning Audio Effects OFF, but not eliminated. I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room. The behavior is independent of audio source, headphone type and speaker vs. headphone jack.

add my SI number (1248-9962) on the ICS update table soon. I have been following the SI numbers thread since last month. I have a question - Does my SI number remain the same 'cause I had installed a ftf file with different SI number from the xda-developers forum.Mine is 1248-9962.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to update my SE Xperia Mini Pro (SI 1249-0767) to ICS. According to the SI-list, the update should be available for my phone. However, both PC Companion and Update Service say my phone is running the latest version (which is version 2.3.4 and build 4.0.2.A.0.62 according to the "About the phone" menu). I've also tried to run the "repair" option of PCC, but that neither gives the update.

View 16 Replies View RelatedThere is no audio on phone calls on my iPhone 4, not through the earpiece, speaker, headphone or bluetooth. I have completely reset the phone to factory setting with no change. When a call is made or answered the speaker button is highlighted without selecting it, but no audio is heard. I have used a different SIM just in case, no change. I'm wondering whether a full restore to factory settings does not actually reload the standard apps like 'Phone', Safari', etc that come preloaded. Therefore if the phone app is corrupted a restore will not fix it. Does the Phone app can be deleted and reinstalled?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just returned home from abroad where I was using a local sim card rather than my own. When I use a different sim card, the settings inevitably get messed up. My phone now won't recognize my headphones after Throw kicks in. What happens is that I can get music to play if I manually stop Throw. As soon as Throw restarts, the music stops playing on my headphones and goes to my external speaker. My phone won't give me the option of disabling Throw. I've tried disabling Smart Connect, disabling the headphone compatibility app, adjusting settings in throw and Smart Connect, and still have gotten nowhere after hours wasted. Losing patience.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy xperia ray has good sound quality on the external speaker regarding hights. Female voices for example sound fine. But on a good headphone (i use the beyerdynamic DTX 101 IE and tried others) heights quality is sub-par. Now i am wondering, did Sony use bad hardware here or bad software? Is there any chance this can be fixed with an update?I really like the phone but this bothers me a bit especially as the phone plainly has the technology to recreate the sound adequately (the speaker works fine).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have beats solo HD headphones (about 3 years old) and have purchased sony Xperia z2 few months ago. Why does sony not recognize the headphones when I connect it? Is it problem with sony itself or the beats? I think it's generally android problem, since it does connect to samsung s4, but doesn't connect to relatively old htc phone and my Xperia.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the last update (17.1.1.A.0.402) headphones are not detectend when connected to the phone.
It applies to the noise cancelling and standard headphones.
Headphones work just fine (tested on a different audio player).
I bought an Xperia Z5 yesterday, and everything is working fine apart from my headphones not being recognised at all.
Firstly I tried my decent headphones which have an inline pause button which I've previously used without problem with my old android phone (Nexus 4), and the phone doesn't detect them at all, music still plays fully through the speakers.
I then plugged in an old pair with no inline controls, and they half played the music, (really low volume), with volume still coming out of the speaker.
I looked back at the issues seen on the Z3 and downloaded the soundabout app and tried to force the sound through the headphones, still nothing. I deleted the cache of the smart connect, chose the "music on the go option" and rebooted the phone.
Now I can get music properly through my old rubbish headphones without a button, but still nothing at all through my decent headphones with a button., with or without using the soundabout app.
Is this an issue with the headphone jack that i'll need to send the phone back for repair? Or is it a compatibility issue..(the headphones are "android" headphones so I find this doubtful? The headphones 100% work.
I'm here because I have a problem with my brand new Xperia Z3, it does not detect my headphones (it's the Hyper X Cloud II). It detects other headphones.
It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music.
That's why I'm here to ask you, is there a fix for this or not ? (I'm under Android 5.1.1, more precisely 23.4.A.1.232 and my phone is a D6603).
