View 5 RepliesI have beats solo HD headphones (about 3 years old) and have purchased sony Xperia z2 few months ago. Why does sony not recognize the headphones when I connect it? Is it problem with sony itself or the beats? I think it's generally android problem, since it does connect to samsung s4, but doesn't connect to relatively old htc phone and my Xperia.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone no longer recognizes when I plug in headphones or any other external audio device. A software upgrade fixed this problem once, but the problem has come back and upgrades won't fix it. No matter what I plug into the headphone jack, audio continues to play out of the phone speakers. I'm outside of my warranty and not near an Apple store.

I tried to connect my S305 headphones to my Tablet. My tablet won't recognize the headphones. Do the headphones work with a tablet?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased a Sony Z5 (2 days old), when trying to listen to music through a headset or via Aux to Aux in the car, the music also comes out of the phone speaker. I have cleared the data from the SMART CONNECT app and i have done the usual IT solution of turn it off and back on again, but this hasn't worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use some bluetooth headphones for gym and commuting use and was surpirsed to see a very obviuos decrease in performace of my Z5 when audio was streaming to them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI find it very troubling that the phone ringer is automatically turned on when the headphones are put in. I have even set a "Smart Connect" function to try to work around this. Nothing better than having your ringer sound out over a sound system in a restaurant where you work...
My feedback from support chat basically said that the phone is made to do that and that since the phone is functioning correctly there is nothing they will do.
I am pretty sure I am a capable person, and should be allowed to control my phones notification functions.
I accepted to do an update with the phone some days ago (i cant tell which one... i dont remember and i dont have way to know it).Today the phone just restarted but the unlock screen never appeared, actually the phone boot and then a screen "SFR" appear (which is the french operator name) and restard again.
I tried to repair the phone with PC Companion 2 but the software don't recognize the phone, it s blocked at step 2 ( but i can see SOMC flash device in the device manager).
My X10 is plugged into my computer through a usb cable, but my computer doesn't realize that it's connected. I've connected my phone before, but this is the first time that's it's happened. I'm pretty sure the fault lies with my computer, because my phone charges when I plug it in. I've tried plugging into every usb port that my computer has, and it doesn't make a difference. Usually, when I plug my phone in, it notifies me that it's connected to something, and it asks if I want to "mount" a connnection with it or not, it's not doing this anymore, and neither is my computer notifying me that something is plugged into it.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi just bought a used xperia play and a new 32gb sd card class 4 (adata). the memory works fine in my laptop but when i put it in the phone it wont do anything, it wont let me mount or anything, its like there isn't anything insde. i already read that the back cover has to be placed proporly so it is pressing the little white switch, the cover is properly placed. okay just now i used the update service program and it says it has modified content, okay i know its a used phone so it is totaly possible but how to i get it back to original firmware or software or whatever, im new to andriod so what am i suppose to do (already have PC companion and update service), sorry for my bad grammer but right now im fricking out! this is the phone of my dreams and i can't enjoy it because of the sd card!! right now im going to restore to factory but i fear it will brick my phone since i got that "modified content" message.
in the worst case senario, say the sd reader is broken, how much does sony charge to fix it? do they even fix it? if they do, do thay have it in mexico?details: i formated the micro sd card on my laptop on FAT 32

My phone rings, gets message notifications etc all normally. The problem I have is when I watch videos or want listen to music and play games etc, I get no sound unless I use headphones.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just returned home from abroad where I was using a local sim card rather than my own. When I use a different sim card, the settings inevitably get messed up. My phone now won't recognize my headphones after Throw kicks in. What happens is that I can get music to play if I manually stop Throw. As soon as Throw restarts, the music stops playing on my headphones and goes to my external speaker. My phone won't give me the option of disabling Throw. I've tried disabling Smart Connect, disabling the headphone compatibility app, adjusting settings in throw and Smart Connect, and still have gotten nowhere after hours wasted. Losing patience.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently brought a new nokia e52 and wantd 2 hear its music quality. I inserted my headphones pin in the jack only half not knowing that it should be fully inserted. I started playing a song but was unable 2 hear anything and it restarted automatically. I tried inserting it fully but it didnt work out until my brother showed me. I did this thrice and the phone restarted thrice. Now it goes fully into the jack. So is there a problem with my phone or is it normal coz now i can insert it fully and listen 2 my music clearly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have the ringtone or notification sounds come through the headphones while listening to music? I know the music gets interrupted but it would be nice if it just rang in the headphones.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy xperia ray has good sound quality on the external speaker regarding hights. Female voices for example sound fine. But on a good headphone (i use the beyerdynamic DTX 101 IE and tried others) heights quality is sub-par. Now i am wondering, did Sony use bad hardware here or bad software? Is there any chance this can be fixed with an update?I really like the phone but this bothers me a bit especially as the phone plainly has the technology to recreate the sound adequately (the speaker works fine).
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the last update (17.1.1.A.0.402) headphones are not detectend when connected to the phone.
It applies to the noise cancelling and standard headphones.
Headphones work just fine (tested on a different audio player).
I bought an Xperia Z5 yesterday, and everything is working fine apart from my headphones not being recognised at all.
Firstly I tried my decent headphones which have an inline pause button which I've previously used without problem with my old android phone (Nexus 4), and the phone doesn't detect them at all, music still plays fully through the speakers.
I then plugged in an old pair with no inline controls, and they half played the music, (really low volume), with volume still coming out of the speaker.
I looked back at the issues seen on the Z3 and downloaded the soundabout app and tried to force the sound through the headphones, still nothing. I deleted the cache of the smart connect, chose the "music on the go option" and rebooted the phone.
Now I can get music properly through my old rubbish headphones without a button, but still nothing at all through my decent headphones with a button., with or without using the soundabout app.
Is this an issue with the headphone jack that i'll need to send the phone back for repair? Or is it a compatibility issue..(the headphones are "android" headphones so I find this doubtful? The headphones 100% work.
I'm here because I have a problem with my brand new Xperia Z3, it does not detect my headphones (it's the Hyper X Cloud II). It detects other headphones.
It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music.
That's why I'm here to ask you, is there a fix for this or not ? (I'm under Android 5.1.1, more precisely 23.4.A.1.232 and my phone is a D6603).
I got a Xperia X10 upto date with Android 2.1 update1 recently but I found that I cant listen to the music using the headphones. The headphones work when making calls or for that matter I can also listen to the ringtones or any sound other than music with the headphones.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi decided to use the headphones that didnt come with the phone for a change, but imagine to my surprise, it didn't work. Even after connecting, when i tried playing a song, it didnt play through the headphones, but rather still through the speaker. What could be the reason?? Its working fine on other phones as well as on my PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i am having a call with my headphones on,if i removed the headphones the call is on speaker, how can i turn off this?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAt work I use headphones, and I want phone calls etc. to call with sound only in my headphones, and call silent when headphones are disconnected. As it is now it rings from the speakers of the phone, even if headphones are connected.
I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....
I have a question I want to know if it is normal that when I have connected the headphones listening to music incoming calls can be heard on the speaker and headphones but the sound is low ...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried lot's of models but none of them let me control volume levels. Since the xperia z 3 is a big phone and I carry it in my pocket all the time, sometimes it's really hard to reach the phone to lover or increase the music level. It's a big shame that sony doesn't think of it.
