Bit of a weird one but I was looking for Sony Smart Connect on my Z5 and couldn't see it in the app drawer although it is installed and not disabled. I also have Xperia Transfer Mobile installed but it's not there either. I tried reinstalling them both from the play store but they're still not visible.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

I'm a NON proud owner (no more) of a SE XPERIA X10. I bought this phone for 600 Euro, almost a year ago The support and solutions I found to my problems with this phone was absolutely NONE! Nobody cares if you have a problem with a 600 Euro piece and you have almost no support from SE. We spent 8 months trying to persuade SE to release 2.3.3 for X10 only to find out that half of the things were removed from the phone and that most of the things you can do with PC Companion Wirelessly with all the other phones, you CANNOT do them with X10!!! Not to mention the speed of the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been really happy with the S6 and was able to customize most things that were bothering me, except this .In the app drawer, is there a way to change the way the navigation between pages work and make it like it was on the S5.On the S5, you could go to a specific page in one click on the bottom "bar", and you could hold you finger on it and slide to scroll quickly through pages.On the S6, none of those work, clicking a specific page in that bottom bar just goes to the next (or previous) page.Now that Xposed works, is there something that can fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was able to do this in the Galaxy S4, but now it's gone. Since I did a restore of my previous phone's backup, all apps installed in a random order - and that's how my app list is now sorted.
How can I sort that alphabetically? I can live with manual sort (I've seen people speaking of the "A-Z" button in the app drawer, but I don't have it), automatic would be better.
I have the AT&T 32GB variant.
I noticed that sometimes (actually, somewhat frequently) the animation to open the app drawer is a little choppy and laggy. And then the actual app drawer (swiping left and right) also has slightly choppy animation as it moves from each page of apps.
This goes away if you press home, and then return back to the app drawer.
My friend's 2014 Moto X PE, Android 5.1, running on Cricket has a vertically scrolling app drawer as opposed to the horizontal version. He says this changed last night, but he never installed an OS update. As a matter of fact, he still has not installed the Stagefright update. I have the same phone running on T-Mo and have not seen that change.

First, is there any way to sort the app drawer alphabetically? When I click on edit the only option I get is to disable or uninstall apps.
Secondly, I recently read a tip somewhere that said to reboot into safe mode and then restart to normal. This would improve battery life. Not sure if this is the cause but I did see an improvement after that. Anyway, I also noticed that apps in the app drawer are now scattered across 6 screens with some containing only 1 or 2 icons.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen i doublepress the home button and the multitasking drawer opens up, it appears to be empty. i can tell this is a problem because when i use sbsettings and check the running processes, i see many apps are still running. at the very least i should see ipod controls in the drawer.this wasnt always the case, i know that right when i finished jailbreaking (before i synced all my apps over itunes) i did see ipod controls and sms in the drawer (those were the only 2 apps i tried before doing that initial sync). i then synced over any apps i had but failed to install anything that was from installous (depending on appsync). that was expected. i think (not sure really) that when the official apps loaded i was still able to have apps appear in the multitasking drawer. i think installed aptbackup from cydia and tried to restore all. i manually chose installous and appsync 4.0 from cydia because i noticed that they didnt install after the restore all. i then synced again with itunes. now i got all my installous apps back on the phone. this is when i checked the multitasking drawer again and i didnt have any icons! so i am going to assume its one of the cydia packages thats giving me this issue. i was hoping someone here might have a clue as to which package might cause this. i got a list of all my packages i am sharing below:

edit: i just noticed that the package for appsync31 looks like its still installed which is probably a bad thing. when i go through cydia it is not installed, this is the output of dpkg so i trust that this is accurate. any idea of how to remove that package without cydia?
edit 2: now i'm not really sure what is going on with that package, i am trying to use dpkg to remove it but this is what i get when i try to find out the status of that package

I got my 5.1 update weeks ago maybe a month I don't remember, but just this morning I go into my app drawer and i find it scroll vertically. I didn't update last night, left my phone plugged in and in all night. How our why did this change take place?
