I got my 5.1 update weeks ago maybe a month I don't remember, but just this morning I go into my app drawer and i find it scroll vertically. I didn't update last night, left my phone plugged in and in all night. How our why did this change take place?
View 7 RepliesI prefer Froyo's vertical scroll in the app drawer as opposed to Ice Cream Sandwiches paginated flip like the iPhone... how do I change it back? It's a lot more work for me to flip through pages than just scroll at the speed I want and stop when I see the app. On a related note, how do I get back the long-press widgets that I can scroll through? The paginated widgets are even more painful to flip through.

He says this changed last night, but he never installed an OS update. As a matter of fact, he still has not installed the Stagefright update. I have the same phone running on T-Mo and have not seen that change.

If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wanting to know if anyone had an issue with the home screen stopping. I have over 800 apps on my phone and wondered if maybe it was that with the app draw trying to refresh and it taking too long. When I did a search people were having this problem with only having 20 or less added apps to their phone. Some even had this problem after having their phone refreshed. I can run the phone for days and use it with no problem and nothing and then out of the blue there it goes. I click the app drawer and the searching circle goes around and round and then the home screen will close and go to the last app or web page I was on and it could be one from a few days ago. I erase all the previous history and when the home screen closes it just refreshes the home screen. The only thing I can do is reboot and wait about 10 or so minutes and its all good till the next time. The question I am wondering is what is causing this. I had someone comment on links or widgets on the homescreen might be causing it. I removed some and it does not happen as much
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 5, Lollipop 5.1.1. Build LMY48B. Today suddenly the Menu orientation of my phone changed to Vertical one with a scroll bar on right side and the "Search App" bar at the top.
Earlier it was a normal left-right swipe menu. Now it is a vertical up/down scrolling menu. I don't know how it changed. There was no software update or anything.And is there a setting to switch back to the original left/right swipe.
Do anybody have a problem with the android email not want to scroll right when you trying to look at a email? What it is do is not wanting to move around sometimes like it is stuck but I can't figure it out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 2 Global does this, too, so it doesn't seem to be specific to the D3, but if you've scrolled down a bit on a webpage, then you tap a link, the new page that you will navigate to will position itself approximately at the same position rather than starting you at the top.Give it a try on these forums. Go back to the topic list, scroll down a bit (maybe half way), then tap a link. More times than not, you will be placed roughly halfway down the new page, making you scroll up to read the page from the top.

I thought maybe I accidently downloaded it after my factory reset but it does not exist in my appbrain or market apps lists. When I click on it, all that happens is that the App drawer reloads. It is not listed as a widget either. Does anyone else see this in their app drawer or know how I may have gotten it or what it is supposed to do?

I think this all happened after being in the car dock. Today when removed from the car dock it was still indicating charging the battery, had to reboot to clear. Its was getting hot.
AT&T U-verse just replaced my wireless gateway, and I can't get my Droid 2 to connect to it no matter what. I've tried entering the 10-digit network key (WPA/WPA2 PSK) many times, and I just get Scanning... then Connecting... then Disconnected. I've deleted the old "remembered" network and started from scratch, but it won't connect. My other wireless devices can connect to it fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it just me or with the upgrade to JB has Moto taken the colume controls on this phone and downgraded the performance of the speaker?
Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
My fleet of fifteen client Xyboard tablets on Verizon received their OTA push of the Android 4.0.4 operating system this morning. I was pretty stoked until one of our primary software components wouldn't function. After quite a bit of work, we discovered that the Verizon/Motorola system update had changed all of the Xyboard's IMEI Device ID numbers by appending an additional digit to them. This changed the previous 14 character device ID numbers to fifteen character device ID numbers.The result was that any software that had license binding to the device ID no longer functioned. This was true for our Sygic navigation and routing software. We had to completely relicense this software component on 15 tablets.First, I wanted to warn other Xyboard users of this potential problem. Second, I wonder if anyone can provide any idea of why this happened. Many companies, like ours, enter these IMEI Device ID numbers into our capital asset inventory log system because, supposedly, they never change and could be used by the police if one was ever stolen. What could possibly be the reason for changing them in a system update?? Now, not only did it break some of our most important software, angering our clients and causing us enormous headaches, but it also makes our entire capital asset inventory incorrect.

I want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.

If i click download, it attempts to download it but fails. I'm using Hangouts, I haven't given my phone number out recently, and if it matters I'm using a beta test version of Nova.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny way to increase (and maintain) a louder volume from the speaker while using speakerphone or Bluetooth speaker? My Maxx was awesome!! I thought for sure when I got the Turbo it would be equivalent.
I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.
I used to be able to just use the side volume control and turn it all down and it would mute the ringer but allow notifications for texts and emails. That, suddenly has gone. I have tried everything I can think of to do. Setting priorities does nothing. The moment that the ringer turns off, the vibration icon grays out. I get it back if I turn the ringer to its lowest setting but I do not want that. At work, having just the vibration running for calls and texts was perfect.
