when I hit the text mess. icon then the green + in top right corner to compose new text I now have to type in name, and can't scroll down contact list. Also the email address comes up instead of the contacts phone number.

Homescreen - Contacts App - displays only the name and picture of each contact.

Homescreen - Phone App (stock app) - All Contacts - displays name, picture and phone number(s) with labels (i.e., mobile, work, etc.)
Why for the love of all things Moto are these two different?? I prefer view #2 given it displays the phone numbers.
Is there any way at all to change the settings to where I see view #2 no matter how I access my contacts list?
This is unbelievably annoying!!
Also, on my old Razr Maxx, when viewing the contacts list, the alphabet was aligned vertically along the right side of the screen and I could jump to a specific letter by touching it.
Now on my Turbo, there is no alphabet and I can't jump directly to the Ts for example.. I now have to scroll through the entire blasted list. Any way to add the quick-jump alphabet to the Turbo contact list?
Here are pictures to demonstrate my issues. Mainly the different views problem as I don't have my Razr Maxx any longer to show the quick-jump alphabet I'm talking about wanting again.

I would like to create a contact with the main call number and add each persons passcode to their contact information as an "other" phone number. Is there a way to call the contact number then when prompted for the passcode, go to a the appropriate contact and have their "other" number sent to enter the conference call?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 2 Global does this, too, so it doesn't seem to be specific to the D3, but if you've scrolled down a bit on a webpage, then you tap a link, the new page that you will navigate to will position itself approximately at the same position rather than starting you at the top.Give it a try on these forums. Go back to the topic list, scroll down a bit (maybe half way), then tap a link. More times than not, you will be placed roughly halfway down the new page, making you scroll up to read the page from the top.

It's a lot more work for me to flip through pages than just scroll at the speed I want and stop when I see the app. On a related note, how do I get back the long-press widgets that I can scroll through? The paginated widgets are even more painful to flip through.

This past weekend I had downloaded app "handcent".I don't kbnow if it's because of that app that the photos are no longer appearing. In any event I deleted the app. and still have no photos. I contacted T-Mobile and after several trys to syncronize, even deleteing factory settings I still don't have any contact photos.

Believe me that although there are many dual sim mobiles in the market yet I keep wait for the nokia's dual sim mobile. I bought it and bring this phone to my home. First its display quality disappointed me, as in the same range other brand have good quality display, yet I was ready to compramise with display quality. But I totally frustrated when I am unable to scroll the list item using my finger on touch screen. The scroller won't work. I restarted the mobile and even remove the battery and then I again restart my mobile after putting the battery again. I totally disappointend and curse myself on the decision of buying This nokia product.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq xt from T-mobile. I switched to AT&T with unlock code provided by T-Mibile. All works fine except for contact list. I downloaded contacts from SIM and now contact screen is black. Worked fine with T-Mobile. I do not use social network, any idea what causes this. The contacts are in the phone because when i dial a number in my list the name appears on the dial pad, however, contact list is black.

I have selected first name first from the menu in > contacts in both fields but without success. It only changes the "me" profile. It doesn't matter if I try and change the SIM list or the phone list.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis error sometimes disables access to my contact list (both directly through the dialer or through text messaging) for several minutes. I can delete contacts and add new contacts (although adding contacts sometimes results in the same crash). I have, on maybe two occassions, been able to successfully edit contact information through the contact list on my Photon, without this error appearing. But it has been several days since then. Yes, I've rebooted the phone several times without any effect on this problem. I've also killed the application through the task manager and then started the application again, also with no effect.

I've searched and seen some apps out there that add a button (or two) to accomplish what I'm trying to do....but I don't know that I'd want to give up Real Estate just to be able to scroll "Home" on a page.

How do i switch the wallpaper so that it doesn't scroll when i flip thru my home screen panels? I think i had it set like that before the update but can't remember how. Also how do i keep the picture I want to use for my wallpaper from zooming in when i set it as my background? It displays perfectly when I view it in the gallery but magnifies absurdly when i set it to wallpaper.

Or sometimes I can find it but with all the contact information deleted.I am using Verizon Backup assitant to manage my contacts. I wonder if anyone else have the same problem. View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.
I have a weird problem in my Galaxy SII. Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

Any chance Motorola has a patch or software update in the works? FYI, my wife's older cellphone will allow manual transfers to the Contact list so I know its not the car's problem.

picture source not updating in their address book/contact list?
On the Cliq I never had this problem. On the Cliq2 when people update their FB default pictures, it doesn't sync and update them in my address book anymore. Motorola said it should but it doesn't. They offered me a new phone but hello this is my second Cliq2 that it hasn't worked on. Apparently it's not the phone. It's motoblur!
I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....
