My company has one conference call number and everyone has their own passcode. I would like to create a contact with the main call number and add each persons passcode to their contact information as an "other" phone number. Is there a way to call the contact number then when prompted for the passcode, go to a the appropriate contact and have their "other" number sent to enter the conference call?
View 4 RepliesWas this feature removed from calendar events? I use it frequently and it doesn't always automatically pick up the number+meeting code from the appointment but is generally pretty good. So the last few call it wasn't working and I decided to try and add it manually but can't enter it. Is this a feature that isn't included in the Motorola software or was it removed from JB?
View 9 Replies View RelatedNew to the Windows mobile phone... I use my Windows phone for business and do a lot of conference calls. With my iPhone I used to be able to put the phone number with three commas and then the passcode to the conference call in the meeting request (format = 555-555-5555,,,12121212#). By using this format my customers could just click the link in their iPhone and it would auto-dial the conference number along with the passcode so that they did not have to remember the passcode while driving.
Example: 555-555-5555,,,12121212#. (autohyperlink for iOS)
VS
555-555-5555 Passcode 12121212 then press # (caller can hyperlink the phone number but has to remember the passcode and dial it while driving...)
By using this format you could just click the number and it would dial the number pause then auto add the passcode and # to enter the conference call. I think Blackberry used to use a similar format to achieve the same thing.
when I hit the text mess. icon then the green + in top right corner to compose new text I now have to type in name, and can't scroll down contact list. Also the email address comes up instead of the contacts phone number.

Homescreen - Contacts App - displays only the name and picture of each contact.

Homescreen - Phone App (stock app) - All Contacts - displays name, picture and phone number(s) with labels (i.e., mobile, work, etc.)
Why for the love of all things Moto are these two different?? I prefer view #2 given it displays the phone numbers.
Is there any way at all to change the settings to where I see view #2 no matter how I access my contacts list?
This is unbelievably annoying!!
Also, on my old Razr Maxx, when viewing the contacts list, the alphabet was aligned vertically along the right side of the screen and I could jump to a specific letter by touching it.
Now on my Turbo, there is no alphabet and I can't jump directly to the Ts for example.. I now have to scroll through the entire blasted list. Any way to add the quick-jump alphabet to the Turbo contact list?
Here are pictures to demonstrate my issues. Mainly the different views problem as I don't have my Razr Maxx any longer to show the quick-jump alphabet I'm talking about wanting again.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. I have not be able to get this function to work, nor have I been able to find any references to it in the manuals or support sites. how the numbers have to be formated in the calendar entry?? Is the a 'special' field that they have to be entered?
One thing I miss that my old Blackberry could do is to automatically dial both the conference bridge number and the passcode. In the location field on calendar appointments I could type the conference bridge number, then "x" and then the passcode. When I clicked the number, it would dial it, and then prompt me to enter the passcode. For example, if the number was 800-555-1212 Passcode 1234, I would enter it in the calendar as 8005551212x1234. It would dial the number, and then prompt me to click ok to enter the passcode number (1234). The RAZR will let you memorize one conference bridge, but that is all.

If I miss a call I can select view and see my missed calls list but after that I cannot get back to the call log. I have been facing this issue after upgrading to 2.1. I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.

The message goes away and my phone goes back to home screen. I can't make any calls. I can receive a call and text. When I text the contact list comes up, but not when I try to make a call. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile on a call, phone automatically adds same contact in as a second call - the "MERGE CALLS" box opens above keypad. At no time did I do this myself, but perhaps proximity sensor not working and something with the call on my face does it itself. Once this happens, I cannot go back to my first call. Merging calls doesn' t allow me to talk to the first call either. There is no button to UNMERGE the two calls to return to the first. My only option is to end the second call, which ends both.
