I recently purchased the Sony Ericsson Xperia x10, but I can't pull up my contact list while in an active call. The tutorial states tap the application bar and tap the people, my problem is I don't have the 'people' selection on my phone.

I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have BB9700 with OS 6 version 6.0.0.418 which I installed a week ago.Since I installed this new version, I started to face a problem, if I am on the contact list, I can never edit or call any of my contacts, regardless whether I press the blackberry button or do the green key button.I am not able to do any calls to any of my contacts unless I go to the history and search the contact to call them.

If I miss a call I can select view and see my missed calls list but after that I cannot get back to the call log. I have not done anything out or the ordinary beyond phone calls and a few text messages. This is a 9700 Bold and I believe the OS is V5.

I would like to create a contact with the main call number and add each persons passcode to their contact information as an "other" phone number. Is there a way to call the contact number then when prompted for the passcode, go to a the appropriate contact and have their "other" number sent to enter the conference call?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to make a call from my Samsung Galaxy 5, I click on the phone icon, it then gives me a message that my contacts have stopped. The message goes away and my phone goes back to home screen. I can't make any calls. I can receive a call and text. When I text the contact list comes up, but not when I try to make a call. Is there a setting I should look for that I may have accidentally overrode or deleted?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI normally use a rectangle cropped image for my contacts but since I'm using.Google Contacts now to backup and sync my phonebook, I notice that the contact images are cropped to a square. Now this may have been fine but it's positioning the square image on the top left in a very unpleasant manner. People without contact images have the default picture centered and positioned nicely.

The entries in my contact list were created on the phone. I did not import it or sync it with anything. But I cannot edit the contact. I go to phonebook, pick a contact, click edit, then I get the "Contact not found: This contact was not found in the Work Email contact list". I have no idea what this mean.

Is there a away to change that? It does it for all contacts that have a fax number, the Phone icon shows up beside the fax number.

Just got an Xperia X10. I have been trying to edit some contacts. When I finish editing, I tap "done", it says "saving contacts", then when I look in the contact list, that contact is gone! I've lost 3 contact details so far.

Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).
