When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
I've followed the correct configuration settings for my mobile operator in the Philippines which is Globe Telecom. Still I can't connect. There is no signal indicator appearing on the upper part of the screen like 3G/HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS. Just plain signal bars. Is that ok? Is the signal means GSM only and no Data signal?
But when I tried to used other mobile operator like Smart Telecom, it perfectly worked.
Right, well I've had the phone for just over 1 month now and the other day it ran out of battery. When I went to charge it, it wouldn't start charging!I've tried charging using usb and PC.. still nothing... The red light just flashes slowly but never does anything!
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I sync the calender and contact in my at&t C905a to the new at&t Xperia X10? On AT&T's site,it says to use PC Suite, which I already have in my notebook pc to back up and sync with Outlook in my pc. Is this true? And why can't I sync using SE Sync? Is it because the phone (C905a) is locked out?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to synchronise my Xperia X8 to the Sony Ericsson website. It worked the first time when I set up the sync, and managed to copy over my calendar. However, my contacts weren't backed up on the website, so I tried again to synchronise my phone via the sync 'app' on my phone (as before) to copy them over, too, but a message kept popping up in the status bar of my phone saying 'No network access. Please try again later.' My network coverage is '3 out of 4 bars', according to my phone, so it should be quite strong. I have been trying repeatedly to sync over at least 3 hours, but with no success, and the same message keeps popping up, regardless of the fact that my phone shows a good network coverage.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone looks like a tiny brick now. I can't reset it, I can't upgrade/fix/repair because it's stuck at the SE logo. It happened after internet browsing I've been prompted to forcefully close the browser, then later on it wants me to close the SE home app, then finally it's reset and I can only see until the SE logo.
I tried removing the battery for more than 10 secs, pluggin the usb cable while pressing back - still can't connect to pc. I tried holding down power+home, nothing.
Is there a hard reset button somewhere I can use? I'd rather reset everything with all my data than send it over to SE support since that means it'll take weeks with no phone
Just upgraded to 2.1 . However , i lost majority of my contacts . For example , in messaging , it only displays their numbers and it does not show up in contacts list . I have all my contacts in SE sync however i cannot log in . When i try to log in into SE sync from phone , after typing username and password and pressing ( touching ) log in , nothing happens .

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just spent ages typing all my contacts on the Sony Ericsson website. I then connected my phone and did the sync. All appeared to go well... appeared. The problem is is that all contact names were transferred, but very little of the actual contact details. Only one phone number or an email address, but never a street address, birthday etc etc. I don't have an sd card. Could that be it? Just the most basic information has been transferred. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong/what step I've missed.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI cannot sync my contacts from my phone to my pc. I have faithfully followed the instruction, but it goes no further than the Import page. It asks me to look for a VCard file, but all I could see was a contacts.csv fle which I thought was the one, but it said "Could not export" or something to that effect. I know the synch works otherwise because I have been able to change my bookmarks online.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just tried to install the Ice Cream Sandwich unofficial firmware and when I tried to reboot it got stuck on the Sony Ericsson screen. Taking out the battery doesnt help, neither does doing any combination of buttons to get to the boot menu. I have Clockword Mod Recovery, but I cant reach that either. I did keep backups, but since I cant reach the phone in anyway, I cant enable them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHey, folks! See what we got in hand? The successor to the Xperia X1, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 with full of industry leading features- the first Windows phone runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and sports 8MP camera with touch focus, bringing Flash support in Internet Explorer Mobile and Microsoft's app store, larger display, new keyboard and navigational keys design. Let’s show you what to expect from the first Windows phone of Sony Ericsson. In the package, we have the phone, a Battery, a charger, a handsfree, a USB cable, TV-out cable and Manual. Most of the front of X2 is taken by the 3.2” touch screen which is bigger than the previous (X1 got 3” only), and it's a real fingerprint magnet. Here is the one in Silver. The 4-row QWERTY keyboard of X2 features a new overall design, which is distinctive in terms of shape and design compared to X1. Here is the one in Black. We are definitely pleased at the QWERTY keyboard of X2, as it is very responsive. The only thing is that the plastic material doesn't impress at all. On the top of X2, we find the 3.5mm audio jack which also doubles as a TV-out port. And the power key is just along with it- the same position as on the previous X1.
The back of the X2 is made from stainless steel (actually, it seems like plastic) and is quite immune to fingerprints. It hosts the 8.1MP autofocus camera with LED flash, and the lanyard eyelet is just next to it. On the left side of the device, you may find the microSD slot. It is only accessible after the removal of the back cover. The new version of the Internet Explorer Mobile web browser has received a nicer touch-optimized interface and a cooler design. The large optical trackpad on the front panel is providing high level of enjoyment as well when you brows on the web. For sure, Sony Ericsson is always synonymous with portable media players and cameras. 8.1 MP camera with the Multi Menu packing all the available settings to facilitate the user experience. The X2 runs on Win6.5 which upgrades the old-school ver. 6.1 with a brand-new and much prettier homescreen- displays all your applications and links to system functions in a honeycomb grid and consists of a scrollable list, as on the iPhone. And The Xpanel interface is still there with 14 panels preloaded on the smartphone and 16 others available for download, including those for Skype, CNN, and Google. With all interface improvements and 8MP camera onboard, the Sony Ericson X2 is the top and high-end Windows-powered handsets which give a good run for you money.
Sony Ericsson-phones should have a built-in audio-recorder (similar to the iPhone). I know that there are apps for this, but it this should be built-in so that you don't have to search and download additional apps for this basic feature.

I have been trying to do this with PC Companion but every time I try it, the software gets to the preparation section and tells me installation error unable to install or start phone software update components. I then have no option but to close the box.I then get another box come up saying the update of software failed. Please try again or consult Sony Ericsson support for assistance at url...I have tried several times to do it through PC Companion but it just will not work.My phone is telling me that the firmware version is 2.1 update 1, I did upgrade it to Android 2.1 when I first got the phone, but I had to do a factory reset of the phone due to an error, which set it back to Android 1.6.
