Xperia Mini/pro :: Humming Sound When Connecting To A Stereo?
Apr 23, 2012
I got my Xperia mini a couple of weeks ago and I am generally very satisfied. Just one thing is a little bit annoying. I use the mini as my primary music player. Whenever I connect it to my home stereo or car stereo through line in, I get a pulsating, humming noise for a couple of seconds. I have tried it with several stereos and computer speakers. Always the same. I use the latest firmware update.
I own a 2014 Chevy Equinox. The car's auxiliary connector does not work with the G4, so I connect with a stand alone Bluetooth device plugged into my cigarette lighter. The problem is the volume is about 50% lower via this method. I'm thinking it's the Bluetooth device I'm using. I tried about a dozen vol u me apps and none of them work
Just doing a bit of research before taking the plunge for a Galaxy S. (Haven't logged on here in years!)Can anyone confirm whether you can play audio via USB through your car stereo? Reading online and people seem to have issues, even when switch to mass storage device. Apparently Samsung use proprietary USB driver instead of generic. There's plenty of other ways to connect audio, I know, but I'd prefer a single cable for music/ charging.
I still want the iPhone to connect via Bluetooth to my Ford Smax (so it's handsfree), but it now opens the Music app too and starts playing, well, tries to play as the Ford doesn't support music streaming. I feel as though it's draining the battery now. It didn't use to do this, it's since the latest OS update.
Is there a way to turn off the automatic music playback but keep bluetooth on?
For some reason my playbook is not connecting to my stereo Bluetooth headset(SonyEricsson MW600). Manage to add it to my playbook but its not connecting.
I can't even get my x10 mini pro to hook up via usb!
My computer recognises the hardware but the pc connectivity software from sony is utterly useless in syncing with the PC and I cant find any help of Sonys website.
Ive reinstalled software, turned off fire walls etc. Further to this, I cant find any link to get my contacts from Windows Contacts Calendar onto the blasted phone.
My old Nokia is disconnected, but the X10 wont talk to sync with it by bluetooth even though they can see each other.
I hope Sony are reading this stuff and see why people keep buying Nokias.
My monthly charges appeared to be including extra for internet charges, which I was having a time understanding because I believed I was often accessing the internet by wi-fi and therefore avoiding charges at those times. However, thinking back I now realise I was not only turning-on wi-fi but also enabling data traffic ... my logic was that wi-fi created the link, data-transmission enabled its use.Having thought things through, am I right in thinking that this is mistaken, that these two are independent means of connecting? that enabling data traffic will lead to connections via system and will therfore incur costs if going over allowance, whereas enabling wi-fi will connect to the net at hotspots, home/ office wi-fi, etc where present? I don't need both together?that I can leave data traffic turned off and connect fine by wi-fi where there's a service available, and turn-on data traffic if I need to connect where there's not a wi-fi service present?
I seem to be having some major problems when connecting my x10 mini pro to my pc via usb also my phone just seems generally problematic since the update to Android 2.1.The phone becomes inoperable if on whilst charging via the lead and plug but it would normally connect to my pc without issue and the update to Android 2.1 also executed without any hitches. Now every time I connect my phone via usb to my pc the phone just keeps rebooting.Firstly I am prompted by phone to either connect to pc or charge phone (which is normal) I connect to pc: so my phone and memory card content is available in explorer.Suddenly my phone freezes and reboots, so I again connect to pc and the same thing happens. This just goes on pretty much in a loop.Occasionally I am able to view or add/retrieve files until the phone decides to reboot again. Also when my phone has been disconnected from my pc, some time after it will just suddenly reboot all by it self.
Everytime I connect my phone to my PC via the USB cable, it launches PC companion, and then connects okay. But within a few seconds, the phone just switched itself off for no reason. Ive tried it on both my desktop and my laptop with the same results.
I would like to know if I can use my Xperia mini pro as a modem to connect to the internet via my pc? I have done it in the past with my old Sony Ericsson, but just can't seem to get it working with this phone.
When i play music through the headphones and through the car stereo it plays sound in mono. I was just wondering if this is what the iphone does or is mines broken?
usual just after midnight however it kept connecting regularly last night whilst I slept. Havn't got a clue why can anybody suggest why or explain where I can see the exact websites the phone is connecting to. I've asked the network provider to suspend the internet connection till I get to the bottom of this.
I am trying to connect my xperia mini pro to pc by usb.I regularly did this prior to updating to androd 2.4.4 latest baseband version...-64 (i previouly had 58 i think) a few days ago When i connect , the phone will charge , but the phone is not 'found' by the pc. i have tried it on several laptops with different cables and usb ports , two of these laptops have pc companion installed on them,a third laptop a sony - does not but pc companion option to install does not appear i have tried both connection modes MTP and MSC I have tried usb debugging on & off any advice?
My phone has 4.1.B.0.431 software version. Here [URL]. I find that latest version is 4.1.B.0.587. but when I connect my phone with Sony PC Companion it's shows that my phone has already latest software. Why it's saying this thing. Here below I given all screen shots for reference.
Since I moved to android 2.1 I've not been able to connect to the wifi at my work, even though it worked just fine on 1.6.(old forum posts I've found ages ago suggested that a similar issue occurred on android 1.6 but there was some kind of patch that fixed it. Is something like this available for 2.1 now?)
Today I uploaded the firmware through Sony PC Companion to Android Version 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.587. After that my wireless connectivity that was working fine, stopped working.
My Wifi is secured and before I give the password, it says the signal strength is Excellent. After that, it says Signal strength is Poor and tries to keep connecting.
The stereo sound on my galaxy s6 edge's audio Jack stopped working after plugging it into an old (20+ years) sound system via auxiliary. The left still works but the right just makes a buzzing noise.
When I connect my X10 mini pro through USB to my notebook, sd card file system crashes. Not always, but in 70% of cases. Formatting (FAT32) helps only. If i unmount the card, take it out of the phone and put it directly to the pc, it works fine, file sys never crashes.I have tried two different 4Gb Class 4 SD cards. Operared fine in phone, but same problem occured when connected to pc.I always unmount drive from windows before usb cable removal.Very annoying to take out the card for safe file transfer. Also GPS needs sometimes even 10-20+ mins to find satellites. I dont't think this is normal. Or is it?
In April 2012, I purchased SONY ERICSSON XPERIA MINI ST15i cellphone. From last week I am facing very weired problem. No sound is coming out by any mean. When I play music once after 50 try sound comes out but only for 1 minute.
i hear some kind of sound during a call. It occurs only when I'm in 2g coverage. I found that there was no sound when i was in 3g coverage. The sound is like the 1 which we get when we take our phone near speaker or sub-woofer during a call in 2g coverage. sound occurs in few calls only.
Why won't video recorded on phone playback with audio on Windows media player? It plays fine on the phone, but when transferred to PC using either Media Go or Windows there's no audio! However, video files transferred to my phone via bluetooth etc; & subsequently transferred to PC, the playback is fine. Read a previous similar thread & answer was to "check settings" , but which settings - PC or phone?
i was wondering, do this phone have a sound recording software like other sony ericson phones? and does this phone has a 3G? i think it does not have that feature. am i correct?
Am I really hearing some not so good quality here. Its just that I am having trouble understanding the one whom I am speaking to. I hear the sound as if my phone speaker is covered with a pillow.
