I still want the iPhone to connect via Bluetooth to my Ford Smax (so it's handsfree), but it now opens the Music app too and starts playing, well, tries to play as the Ford doesn't support music streaming. I feel as though it's draining the battery now. It didn't use to do this, it's since the latest OS update.
Is there a way to turn off the automatic music playback but keep bluetooth on?
I own a 2014 Chevy Equinox. The car's auxiliary connector does not work with the G4, so I connect with a stand alone Bluetooth device plugged into my cigarette lighter. The problem is the volume is about 50% lower via this method. I'm thinking it's the Bluetooth device I'm using. I tried about a dozen vol u me apps and none of them work
Just doing a bit of research before taking the plunge for a Galaxy S. (Haven't logged on here in years!)Can anyone confirm whether you can play audio via USB through your car stereo? Reading online and people seem to have issues, even when switch to mass storage device. Apparently Samsung use proprietary USB driver instead of generic. There's plenty of other ways to connect audio, I know, but I'd prefer a single cable for music/ charging.
For some reason my playbook is not connecting to my stereo Bluetooth headset(SonyEricsson MW600). Manage to add it to my playbook but its not connecting.
I got my Xperia mini a couple of weeks ago and I am generally very satisfied. Just one thing is a little bit annoying. I use the mini as my primary music player. Whenever I connect it to my home stereo or car stereo through line in, I get a pulsating, humming noise for a couple of seconds. I have tried it with several stereos and computer speakers. Always the same. I use the latest firmware update.
I have an iPhone 4 and want to use it to hook up to an aftermarket Pioneer stereo via USB. I was wondering if anyone has already done this and if anyone has had any issues. I don't have the stereo yet because I am a little wary of incompatibility because I have heard that iOS 4 has some issues with car stereos. Let me know if you have done this or if you have gotten it to work.
I got this new phone a couple of weeks ago on PAYG,My money was disappearing fast, when I looked at the phone it either had a G in the top corner or an E.I've set the phone to ask before connecting to the internet, but this still doesn't seem to work.I've got facebook and email on my home screen,When i do go onto the internet the phone asks me to connect, even though it has and E or G in the top let corner.
I have researched a lot on this topic and I've been able to make my phone ask me if I want to connect to Wi-Fi or 3G whenever I open an application like Opera Mini, Communities, or chat. The problem is my phone still randomly connects to 3G when I'm out and about. There seem to be some background processes using data and thus making me waste money. I changed the communities and mail settings but it still connects to 3G randomly.
I purchased Xperia X10 mini end of October. My contract is with O2 £15.00 pm including unlimited text and 300 call time mins which suited me just fine. The 1st bill came back double the cost expected and when I contacted O2 they said its because the phone automatically connects to the internet each night to update its applications. They said to avoid excessive cost I should pay them and exta £10.00 pm for a 500mb internet bolt on.When being sold this phone it was never mentioned to me that the phone automatically connected to the internet each night and after spending ages tonight with O2 it now appears (according to them) that there is no way of turning this feature off and that the only way I can avoid this extra monthly cost is to take the sim card out and put it in another phone which I find incredibly hard to believe
For some reason my phone turns on, and then the screen showing "Blackberry" with the loading bar appears, but it gets about 3 quarters of the way then flashes off then starts to repeat the same process. I am lost on what to do, even after reading several solutions that haven't worked! Also when I plug it into my computer and open Blackberry desktop software, it recognises the phone but won't connect to it!
My Verizon Galaxy S6 is auto turning itself on and auto connecting to wifi networks. I have all options in the advance settings for wifi turned off and it still auto connects.
Very frustrating as drains battery.
I do not want to have it forget networks, as then have to key in long security key each time.
every few days I simply can't do anything with my phone except make calls and send messages. When I use fb I get an error message 'an error has occurred while fetching data. [host is unresolved: api.facebook.com:80]When I use my ebay app I get 'no network found. please retry or check your network settings. Error type 5002'All I have now is very expensive housebrick!

I'm sick of burning cd's and carrying around a CD case. I want a car stereo that I can hook my iPhone 4 up to... preferably something that will see my phone via BlueTooth.
I've got a music system in my car to which it is possible to connect my Iphone 4 I bought a cable 'Belkin iPhone / iPod AV Cable' which can be used to connect the Iphone and music system.
When I try to put the ipod connector in my Iphone I get a dialog box up 'Can not use accessories. There can only be an accessory at a time.' Audio system will not have a 'contact' with the iPhone.
I only put 'Belkin iPhone / iPod AV Cable' in my Iphone 4 but get this text. I've also tried with an Ipod 3 - with the same result.
However, the success of 2 times of approx. 50 to connect (1 time on the Iphone and 1 time on the Ipod). There I could easily play music and watch video of my car stereo.
Why do I get error text - which means that I can not use my iPhone to my stereo? FYI-the dialog box text is translated from danish to english using google translate.
When i play music through the headphones and through the car stereo it plays sound in mono. I was just wondering if this is what the iphone does or is mines broken?
I have iPhone 4s iOS 5 and have successfully paired (bluetooth) with my new Sony DSX-s310BTX car head unit. When I search for a contact through the head unit, it will load the entire (huge) list of contacts and allow me to navigate through the headunit to a contact to make a call (very clunky - SOny's poor design). So, it sees the contact list successfully. The head unit allows for me to enter six presets contacts into a list of popular numbers for easy access, but after the head unit is set to accept an addition to this presets list (it displays "waiting" prompt on the display), I need to know how to "Send the phonebook data by operating the cellular phone" as the SOny instruction manual says to do. I've contacted Sony support, and reviewed the pdf iPhone 4s manual (as well as these discussions), with no luck. It seems it should be under Contacts > select individual contact > Share Contact, but that only gives the option to share via Email or Message (sms), not Bluetooth.
Here are details of my "chat" with SOny support (there is not such "Send Contact" or "Sync Contact" option in iOS): 3:28 PM Austin - (C6QB): After selecting the contact, use the option on how to send it to other devices.3:29 PM Austin - (C6QB): On selecting the contact, use the Send Contact option.3:30 PM Austin - (C6QB): On the next screen, select Via Bluetooth.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): It might also have an option of Sync Contact instead of Send Contact.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): Please refer to the Manual of the iPhone to check the exact steps on how to send a contact via Bluetooth.
I successfully pair my iphone 4s with my car stereo. However, the audio form calls and music is not being transferred. I´ve already tried with two different car stereos.
one of the main reasons I bought a BB was to replace my ipod. In my car I have a pioneer stereo in the dash with a usb hook up. Great I thought I can just plug in the BB to the stereo and blast my tunes. It does not work however...
