Today I uploaded the firmware through Sony PC Companion to Android Version 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.587. After that my wireless connectivity that was working fine, stopped working.
My Wifi is secured and before I give the password, it says the signal strength is Excellent. After that, it says Signal strength is Poor and tries to keep connecting.
always out "no connection and pls retry" when using play store.i have repair it many time at sony pc companion.the error still same.when using browser need wait a long time too loading.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently had to format my W995 as it was getting sluggish. It used to take a really long time to load once the phone was switched off. (It could be due to the mods though. The only two mods were Rodriguez' HDX 3.0 cam driver and LightEffects V3.) And finally, the other day, the phone turned unresponsive and I had to restart the phone but it would just show the standby screen and the screen would just turn off and turn on again.
I had to flash it with SEUS and it works well now. My only issue is that Opera Mini 5 (and the versions before that i.e. 4.2) simply doesn't work over wifi. It now only works using my 3G connection. It used to work perfectly fine before flashing. The Netfront browser does work over wifi and I've even manually entered the IP address, DNS, Gateway etc. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Local connections are enabled and other programs can connect over wifi.
I have xeperia X8 since 1 yr. just recently found out that I have android version 1.6. so wanted to upgrade it to android 2.1 or higher. saw few threads & found that after backing up phone data I can run PC software & the software installer will update it to Android 2.1 but when i click on support zone > software update in pc companion, it says "your phone has already updated software". I dont know why its showing that & not downloading the android version. Should I update the PC companion software also?

My computer recognises the hardware but the pc connectivity software from sony is utterly useless in syncing with the PC and I cant find any help of Sonys website.
Ive reinstalled software, turned off fire walls etc. Further to this, I cant find any link to get my contacts from Windows Contacts Calendar onto the blasted phone.
My old Nokia is disconnected, but the X10 wont talk to sync with it by bluetooth even though they can see each other.
I hope Sony are reading this stuff and see why people keep buying Nokias.
My monthly charges appeared to be including extra for internet charges, which I was having a time understanding because I believed I was often accessing the internet by wi-fi and therefore avoiding charges at those times.However, thinking back I now realise I was not only turning-on wi-fi but also enabling data traffic ... my logic was that wi-fi created the link, data-transmission enabled its use.Having thought things through, am I right in thinking that this is mistaken, that these two are independent means of connecting? that enabling data traffic will lead to connections via system and will therfore incur costs if going over allowance, whereas enabling wi-fi will connect to the net at hotspots, home/ office wi-fi, etc where present? I don't need both together?that I can leave data traffic turned off and connect fine by wi-fi where there's a service available, and turn-on data traffic if I need to connect where there's not a wi-fi service present?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having some major problems when connecting my x10 mini pro to my pc via usb also my phone just seems generally problematic since the update to Android 2.1.The phone becomes inoperable if on whilst charging via the lead and plug but it would normally connect to my pc without issue and the update to Android 2.1 also executed without any hitches.Now every time I connect my phone via usb to my pc the phone just keeps rebooting.Firstly I am prompted by phone to either connect to pc or charge phone (which is normal) I connect to pc: so my phone and memory card content is available in explorer.Suddenly my phone freezes and reboots, so I again connect to pc and the same thing happens. This just goes on pretty much in a loop.Occasionally I am able to view or add/retrieve files until the phone decides to reboot again. Also when my phone has been disconnected from my pc, some time after it will just suddenly reboot all by it self.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi has update my xmp twice, in first attempt got random reboot while use intrnet browser and my phone reboot automatically. 1st attempt i use SEUS but i take the recommended update not the reset factory date+update. and i also notice fb app eat lot of ram event when mobile date or WiFi is OFF and i think this is the reason why my phone reboot itself because the system has insufficient amount of ram. 2nd attempt in upgrading to ics, i use seus bt i choose reset factory data+update. after first boot, i decided to disable fb apps and all the unused apps in my phone for notification led, the bug is there for example when charging the led stay on red even there is new msg or missed call. Camera also produce lot of noise dispite the size of the picture is increase(this is well known issues) and the worst part is, no on screen notification when new sms or missed call like GB 2.3.4.. sony only put signed of new sms or missed call at top of the screen(on the left) that make me difficult to see.. 1 question to Johan, i believe you are the customer service or moderator in this forum , this ics version 4.1.B.0.431 is the beta version for us? if yes, will SMC give an update with the stable version like GB? But please give us 4.1 update, we are the user and we deserve it!

Both PC and phone are in the same network (ex. 192.168.1.x, where x is the IP address for each device).What i can't manage to do i connect my PC and my pone via Wi-Fi, i followed the manual on page 111:[URL]The manual suggests the following:To pair your phone wirelessly with a computer using Media transfer mode:
1 Make sure Media transfer mode is enabled on your phone. It is normally enabledby default.
2 Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
3 Computer: Once the phone name appears on the screen, click Networkconfiguration and follow the instructions to pair the computer.
4 When you are finished pairing, disconnect the USB cable from both devices.
The above instructions only work if Windows® 7 is installed on your computer and the computer is connected to a Wi-Fi® Access Point via a network cable. (i have win7 x64 and my PC is connected to the Wi-Fi router via LAN)The problem is i can't get past step 3, as soon as i connect my phone to the PC the PC Companion recognizes it and there is no Network Configuration options availible like the manual said there would be. When i go to the Connectivity settings it says "No trusted hosts". Do i need to port-forward some port, If yes i know how to do do it, but i don't know which port.
I usually download apps from Market through wifi.. Just wanted to know if there is a way to do it just by connecting it to system.
