View 9 Replies View RelatedInside 'manage application' in Xperia x10 there is a 'sound recorder'. Why it can't be used or is there way to activate it. I prefer to use built-in apps instead of using 3rd party apps. One more thing, is there way to make x10 sound louder without rooting it? (there is xLoud for rooted x10)
View 1 Replies View RelatedSeveral people have complained that it is difficult to hear my voice during GSM calls (3G disabled and in a silent environment, for what it is worth). This could be related to the upgrade to Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwhich) a couple of weeks ago. Before the upgrade, I do not remember any such complaints (except when I was holding the phonehands-free between shoulder and cheek).Today, I played with the built-in Sound Recorder application. To access it, I installed the SoundRecorder wrapper. I checked the sound levelVU meter while speaking. I had to really shout to reach the maximum level of the meter. Without me shouting, the playback (on the back-side loudspeaker) was very quiet. I also tested this with the wired headset-microphone that was bundled with the phone, and I got the same result. I had to either shout or put the microphone inside my mouth to get loud sound.
Did the Android upgrade (firmware 4.1.B.0.431) make the microphone insensitive? As far as I understand, mobile phones usually have some sort of adaptive gain in the microphone amplifier.explanation is that I had enabled noise suppression in the call settings after upgrading to ICS. I have now disabled it again. In Sound Recorder, I did not notice any significant difference with or without it.
How "to get the recorder" in this phone? Also, where is the regular flush light in the phone. Should be there!
View 1 Replies View RelatedSony Ericsson-phones should have a built-in audio-recorder (similar to the iPhone). I know that there are apps for this, but it this should be built-in so that you don't have to search and download additional apps for this basic feature.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought my XPERIA ST15i last May 15, 2012. Well, the phone with me now went through a series of replacement on the day I bought it. With the first store, I had it replaced TWICE on that SAME DAY because of the issue of it, XPERIA ST15i, activating its home and back keys by itself. For the third replacement because of the same issue, it ended with a refund. So I went to another store to buy another one, and luckily, that malfunction doesn't manifest anymore. Now, after about 2 weeks, that malfunction started to have its episodes again. The menu and back keys are now activating themselves whenever I'm using an app, or just the browser.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter the update, the shutter sound is not silent when in silent/vibrate mode. Also, I am not sure if this is bug, but to activate camera with camera button, now you need to long press the button, whereas before you just had to tap. [Is it a bug or a fix?]But, the previous mentioned is a bug. Shutter should not make a sound when the phone is on silent mode or vibrate mode.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy mini pro refuses to make a sound (it simply vibrates) whenever a text message comes in, even though it's not on silent and I've got the volume turned up all the way.I was curious as to if this has something to do with a padlock icon that has appeared in the right hand corner of the main display, next to the reception bars. I have no idea how it got there or what it does, and I can't find any info about it
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Xperia mini a couple of weeks ago and I am generally very satisfied. Just one thing is a little bit annoying. I use the mini as my primary music player. Whenever I connect it to my home stereo or car stereo through line in, I get a pulsating, humming noise for a couple of seconds. I have tried it with several stereos and computer speakers. Always the same. I use the latest firmware update.
