View 8 RepliesIn Settings/Apps/All there is a Sound Recorder App listed. However, in my Apps list from the link on my home page there is no icon for Sound Recorder. How do you open Sound Recorder when there is no icon?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSeveral people have complained that it is difficult to hear my voice during GSM calls (3G disabled and in a silent environment, for what it is worth). This could be related to the upgrade to Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwhich) a couple of weeks ago. Before the upgrade, I do not remember any such complaints (except when I was holding the phonehands-free between shoulder and cheek).Today, I played with the built-in Sound Recorder application. To access it, I installed the SoundRecorder wrapper. I checked the sound levelVU meter while speaking. I had to really shout to reach the maximum level of the meter. Without me shouting, the playback (on the back-side loudspeaker) was very quiet. I also tested this with the wired headset-microphone that was bundled with the phone, and I got the same result. I had to either shout or put the microphone inside my mouth to get loud sound.
Did the Android upgrade (firmware 4.1.B.0.431) make the microphone insensitive? As far as I understand, mobile phones usually have some sort of adaptive gain in the microphone amplifier.explanation is that I had enabled noise suppression in the call settings after upgrading to ICS. I have now disabled it again. In Sound Recorder, I did not notice any significant difference with or without it.
why Bionics don't have the stock Sound Recorder app. When scrolling through the "All Apps" list in Manage apps, it's there, but the size is zero bytes. I'd much rather use the stock app if possible. It's the bestone by far.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have rebooted, contacted Verizon numerous times, been routed to a Level II technician, but nothing seems to solve the only intermittent problem of getting no notification sound when I get an email. The problem started out getting no ringtone sound when I got a call. Verizon finally fixed that by enabling something on advanced calling in their network. That took numerous trips to the Verizon store. Then, two days ago, I went back to Verizon with my wife to look at the iphone6 for her. I casually mentioned the notification problem to the salesperson, who said the problem was probably due to my downloaded sounds, and that I should stick to the sounds on the phone. I promptly went home and removed the downloaded sounds, but the problem persists. Because the problem is intermittent, no one has been able to fix it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had a Razr Maxx for a couple years and never had problems with my bluetooth in my car. I upgraded to a Motorola Droid Turbo in June. The bluetooth paired up with my car, no problem, and worked fine for about a week. Unfortunately, something happened and now the sound of the person I'm talking to is garbled, underwater, robotic...whatever you want to call it. I can hear them. The volume is fine. They can hear me fine with no problems. It's just that the incoming sound is messed up. I've taken it to my local dealership/mechanic and they tested it with multiple other phones (iphones, other androids like Samsung and such) and it works just fine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung s4 active and all of a sudden the sound stopped working on my phone. Someone suggested a factory reset so I done that and it made my phone worse (froze all the time and took ages to start up) then someone suggested to wipe the cache partition? So I done that and it worked for less than 20 mins and went back to the same issue. Sometimes the start up sound works but barely ever. Can't even hear sound on phone calls.

In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). So, what is the officially santioned way to open sound recorder?
More recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!

View 15 Replies View RelatedIf I have a podcast in my Droid 3, the built-in Music Player plays the podcast file automatically whenever it gets a Bluetooth-stereo connection to my car audio system automatically. I don't like the Music Player because it does not have "Resume Play" feature where I can pause the play, saving the position, and resume play when I restart the Music Player later. My SanDisk Clip+ MP3 Player can do this, but the more expensive Droid 3 with the built-in Music Player does not have this feature.
Plus, if I have another podcast player app, the built-in Music Player seems to take precedence and will even play over the the third-party podcast player app, so you start getting multiple podcasts playing at the same time.
how to disable the Music Player permanently? I of course cannot uninstall it.
I kinda like the built in contacts widget, but also really like LauncherPro.
I noticed that when I use Launcher Pro as my Home replacement, that the default widgets that are included (probably motoblur) do not work.
if the information was here, but I have run several searchs and cannot find it. I am having a problem where the stock music player stops playing after approximately 30 minutes. Several internet searches suggest setting the music player to never auto end in the task manager on the Droid X. Only problem is I cannot find where the "pre-installed" task manager app is located to check the auto-end list. I have looked though all of apps in the "app tray" and also explored the settings under settings-application management.

I thought it was working when I first setup the account, but I may have been imagining things. I've gone through the process of deleting the account multiple times and also clearing the mobile settings/permissions in my yahoo account profile.

Since a few weeks I have the very odd effect, that the S-II's built-in Clock app's timer does not ring, when going off. It silently displays "Time's up" on screen, but doesn't sound nor vibrate. I do have set a sound in Clock => Timer => Menu => Settings => Alarm Tone and the volume is turned to 100%. I also have set all sounds in Home screen => Menu => Settings => Sound => Volume up to 100% but ther is not sound!t drives me nuts and makes the device practically useless as an alert device
View 7 Replies View RelatedI want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.
