Been using Xperia Z3 Compact for almost 3 months when suddenly tonight the phone's buttons started to not work and the phone couldn't be charged. Luckily my phone is still at 60-ish percent, so it can survive 'till tomorrow.
View 5 RepliesMy power button suddenly stopped working this morning. I think it may have worked once with a really long delay... But since then I have to tap my screen a few times to wake it up. I'm worried that if my battery ever runs flat I won't be able to turn my phone back on.
Then I have realised my volume and camera buttons dont work either. They definitely all worked yesterday.
I'm really not happy with this phone. I look after it properly, it cost me a lot of money not long ago, its kept in a protective case and has never been dropped etc. I spent more money than I could afford on a phone thinking I should buy the best I can and I shouldn't have a problem with it being Sony, but so far I have been disappointed with it.
I have a Sony Ericsson X10 mini and my problems stared last week. The phone was really slow, and just unlock the phone took 1 minute! Few hours after that the Touchscreen didn't respond and the buttons didn't work, just the lock button, and when I try to power the phone off it just come 3 alternatives Quiet mode, Flight mode and shut down, but I can't get further it just ends there and i waited 1 day to empty the battery and to update it, and i just can't update it because i can't get to the menu and put it in USB mode and the back button don't work so what should I do?

I have just purchased my new Nokia N97 Mini phone within two months. Unfortunately, I had three times for not start-up failure of my phone. After I charged up the battery of my phone fully, my phone was suddenly shut it down. Afterward, I could not start up the phone with 'Nokia' word white screen only.
I went to Nokia Care Centre for repairing three times, but they could not find the root cause. Even they changed with the motherboard of my phone.

When I turned it on again it said it was setting up but it didn't do anything. So after a few minutes I turned it off and on again but now it didn't react at all (so screen stays black, no button lightens up etc.). I can't get it turned on again, not even when I removed the battery for a few minutes. I also tried to charge it again as I wanted to be sure the battery was charged but this doesn't work either.

No water damage, no drop damage, just stopped working. I am limited in what I can do and almost every time I want to close an application, i need to remove the battery because there is no way to close. It's very frustrating. I've been a customer of blackberry and Telus for the past ten years.Blackberry, or Telus doesn't seem to give a care about the substandard quality of their product or their customers.I had a Storm and traded it in due to the buttons simply not working. Bought a Torch and six months later the buttons failed. Sent it in for warrantee and Telus blamed me for a problem I didn't even have to avoid the warantee until I complained so much they reoplaced it a few months back. Now this piece of **bleep** is giving me the same heartache.Called for support and they said to send it in for warrantee work. I'm a realtor and can't anmswer my phone half the time. I can't use the back button or the menu buttons. I get charged every time I send the phone back for an evaluation even though it's not my problem and its under warrantee.

After i updated to v40 my homescreen has gone nuts!
The keypad button has turned in to a long button, with "Telephone" written on, and the contacts button has turned in to, a big bar with "Contacts" written on, something like older non touch nokias.
Oh, and none of the 2 buttons actually work! really annoying.
Also, on the 5230 you get some extra buttons/shortcuts on the bottom of the screen, so did i, but they dont work, i cant apply any programs to them.
And if i choose the upper contact bar to be a shortcut bar, nothing shows up, other than empy buttons (like on the bottom of the screen) and even there, i cant apply something...
Anyone having problems with the n8 headphones. For 600 USD, i'm not impressed with the sound quality. The buttons do not work and it sounds like all the music is being played in a tunnel.

Before the update, the two buttons on the top of the phone worked as follows:
Right button: Locked the phone (have to enter password)
Left button: Locked keyboard
After the update, the top left button locks the keyboard, but the top right button does nothing. This happened after the update.

the menu key and back keys both stopped working today. my phone was working just fine last night and when i woke up today i found these issues. my software is up to date.battery pulls don't do anything to fix the problem.especially since whenever i open a program i can't go back and close it and end up having everything running and have to do a battery pull

I tried turning it off and back on, taking the battery out and all that. However randomly they turned back on. They worked for a few days then did it again. It has been doing it on and off all month. A few times I was able to get them to come back on by shutting it off and plugging it in and turning it back on. Now that's not working at all. Iv done a factory reset still not able to get them back on. Now I can see that when I turn off the phone it goes to the t-mobile good bye screen then the lights blink for a sec then shut off. I've tried to do the *#1234# thing and it says its running the ussd scan but then says the process can not be processed.
