Xperia Z2 :: Loses All Signal When 4G Mode Activated
Feb 11, 2015
I have had 2 problems with this phone since I've had it. One was the fact I couldn't play Facebook videos over 3G or 4G without getting the unknown error message which I've finally solved by downloading and enabling psiphon VPN connection mode! The other is when I enable 4G I can have it on for like 30 minutes after that my phone tends to lose all signal; meaning no texts or calls and no Internet based activity (unless on WiFi) until a restart of the phone which tends to solve the problem.
me and my brother use this nokia n8 for internet browsing, camera, and gaming.recently, i realized that the phone loses wifi signal when i hold it in landscape mode. when the phone is in portrait mode, the signal range shows 20-35%, but when i tilt the phone to landscape, the signal drops to 2-6%. it's funny when i'm watching videos on Internet, because i have to tilt my head instead of the phone and i can't use the advantage of the full stretched keyboard - with the tiny keyboard which is designed for one hand operation, i as a quicktyper have to correct every second word that i write.
Since i had to re format my phone after the stamina mode problem every time i lock screen and say put phone down or pocket it seems to lose its signal. I know its not the area as the moment i click to call someone all the bars re appear.Â
I have the latest build on my xperia Z2 ... its the first time i ever activate UltraStamina mode .... when i returned to normal ... no saved wifi networks left !Â
An iPhone 4 (A1332) has the following problem:Â When you wake it (causing the screen to light up & come on) it shows full strength (all bars) in the upper left corner.
Over the course of a minute, the bars decrease until it says "searching" and finally "no service"Â .If you let the phone sit by itself for a few minutes and then pick it up again, the signal bars are back. But then they dwindle away again. You can make a call if you dial it fast enough (before the signal bars disappear).People have noted that they called me and it did not ring or go through.Â
What I've tried: Contacted T-mobile several times. They assure their network is working fine. Others do not seem to have coverage problems in the same area.Â
iPhone 4 A1332 T-mobile SIMPhone belongs to me. Historically the phone has had no problems.
My new Atrix 2 will randomly lose signal. It will have 2-3 bars and show 4g but every night and randomly through the day I will look and there is no signal with the circle and line through it. I have to power the phone off and back on to regain. I went to AT&T on Thursday and got a new SIM as suggested. I have only had the phone since Wednesday. I have 2 other Atrix ( not 2's ) in the house and they have no issues.
If my MP3 Player is running while I'm downloading, the phone will crash & shut down, the GPS loses signal, I cannot install Nokia OVI Maps 3. The phone loses signal while I'm on the internet, etc. Does anyone know where I can get a change log for the Nokia Firmwares? I'm currently using v05.501 & I'm still experiencing the problems. Nokia Maps v3 doesn't want to install either?
i often experience losing network signal in my HTC Desire S which is not caused by my networl provider. Whats wrong with my unit? Further, i have update my giware to 2.3.5 after that the numbers im tue calculator app became big amd misaligned
I've exactly the same problem. When I switch to GSM only (because 3G is not available within buildings) I got a very good signal, BUT I can't make a call nor receiving one. Same problem with mixed mode, when phone tries to switch into GSM automatically.I'm living in Germany and using FYVE (Vodafone network) as providerDownload to older Software (if so - how and where is it available ?)W: Android 4.0.4Modell : ST18iKernel : 2.6.32.9-perfBuild : 4.1.B.0.431I already opened a service ticket (Service Request: 1-320227378) few days ago, but no answer since today.
I'm on Fido's network and have already my previous iPhone with Apple for the same issue. My phone just loses reception and goes in "searching" mode. Toggling "airplane" mode doesn't work either. Today I didn't have service for good two hours. Sometimes it would show I have reception but won't allow me to make a call or send text message. My current iPhone is just over a week old but the guy at the Apple store said its an issue with my carrier. I know thats not true since my wife has an iPhone as well and she never has this problem. I'm using the latest version software on my 3GS. Should I swap it again because this is becoming a headache now?
Anyone else having the same problem and if so then have you been able to resolve it?
Yesterday for no reason my phone started activating a "Car Mode" feature draining the battery into nothing even after its fully charged. the screen is also rotating even when i have auto rotate off and is also starting freeze. it keeps connecting and disconnecting into Kies via USB despite the USB not even being plugged in.
My friend who is a developer was using iOS 6 and I was like hey the new updates are kinda cool, I might try it out. Well so I downloaded iOS 6 (Free), Stupid idea from the start. Got it on my iPhone 4s which I just got on June 8th by the way. Everything went well after a couple errors. Then it couldnt activate because I don't have a developer account, Oh well I thought, Just restore it. iTunes said **** that, and I have been stuck in recovery mode with error 1601 for about 4 hours. For the record once this is fixed, I am trading this in for a Droid Razr. I can't deal with Apple ever again.
My bold9000 always show white screen for some reason. For example, when I lock my phone, then I want to activate it the screen will turn white, and it takes a few seconds to start. What's happening?
My Xperia Neo V, It often loses signal/connection to the network despite me staying in the same place or being somewhere, where I am quite sure that there has to be mobile connectivity. Sometimes, I also have zero bars shown for connection quality, but data connection works. Sometimes, I have many bars for signal quality but data connection will not work.
Have Xperia Neo and runs on the latest Android 2.3.4.It loses data connection and never gets back unless phone is switched off and on again. The network connection is available.
I have a Sony Xperia kyno V/neo V (MT11i), French retail version w/o branding - updated to ICS 4.0.4 via official Sony softwareMy provider used to be Free (France) which runs its own network but allows users to roam on the Orange France network wherever Free's newish network still lacks coverageMy phone seemingly randomly loses connectivity to voice and/or data service for also seemingly random periods of time - sometimes I cannot place or receive calls, sometimes I have no data connection while voice seems to work just fine, and sometimes there's nothing...Loss of signal often occurs while the phone is stationary in an area with normally fine network coverageI could not replicate the problem on a Nokia running Symbian and a Samsung running Windows Phone 7.5, but neither features a logging function of network signal like Android does The behavior of the phone seems highly unusual to me and while having no data connection for a few minutes is a minor nuisance, being unavailable for calls for minutes or even hours is simply unacceptable. I took a number of steps to solve the problem:I switched signal to WCDMA only (from WCDMA where available and otherwise GSM)I did a factory reset of the phoneI switched to another provider without domestic roaming (B&You, Bouygues) Nothing helped.
My 3 days old Z2 suddenly hang and freeze I couldnt touch the screen, the device respond to any button press and I can recieve calls but I cant open it.. I can not restart my device unliss I press the micro red button beside the SIM card.
My M8 isn't receiving signal, everything else works fine, I checked the sim card in another phone and it works.
I did notice that airplane mode is stuck tuning off.
I rooted the phone (very new to rooting) but didn't go so far as to flash a mod. I unrooted the phone back to stock. It was fine for a couple of weeks, then one day randomly lost signal.
I'm having some really annoying issue with my phone, when I select the Network Mode to GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) it is working perfectly fine but as soon as I change to LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) I lost 75% of my signal.
Of course without activating LTE I cannot access the 4G Network which is a bit annoying.
I also tried to flash the latest modem for my phone g920i but it didn't solve the problem.
Yesterday I bought a brand new Xperia X10 mobile with android 2.1 packed on November 2010 at a SONY Gallery in chennai. After unboxing the mobile, and initial settings, I could not either make a call or receive a call. The showroom guys made a call to Sony support and said, I need to wait for two days as the IMEI numbers are not unlocked yet. I was terribly disappointed since I cannot use the mobile for another two days. But today I just wanted to make a try and inserted my SIM and checked if i can make a call. To my surprise the call was working. I was happy that the phone is activated.
But after 45 minutes, now again I am facing the same problem. The calls are not working. Neither I am able to receive the call nor I can make a call.
I bought another xperia z2 but I doubt that retailer sold me used phone. How can I make sure that the phone is not used and is first activated by me only. Is there any option online or offline or from service centre which insures me that phone is first activated by me on the buying date? I want to clear my doubt before returning the product.
With this, it's hard to play some games, like Fruit Ninja.
With a MT tester app, when I move my finger fast, it acts like my first finger was the second. Is it a hardware or a software issue? It was on GB, and yesterday I upgraded to ICS, and it is too.
I have a problem, my unlocked 8520 is every morning on sos mode. The battery is not drained, the 'edge' reception is ok, just the signal is always lost.
I get a poor signal indoors at home - on Orange and it's always been the case. I spoke to their customer services and was told to switch the phone from auto select for Network Mode to GSM only. My choices are GSM only, WCDMA only or Auto.
True, having done so, the signal strength seems better though not amazing but, ordinarily, I get then just a "G" for data. I found that switching to WCDMA only, data goes to 3G or even H and sometime H+ but I nearly always lose the standard signal.
I dont understand the difference between GSM and WCDMA nor whether the results I see when choosing each are to be expected or not. I'd welcome any information from those of you who know more about these things than I do.
I want to permanently disable this feature and can't find where to do so. When using a bluetooth headset, if I press the button in a call, it hangs up. However, if the other end hangs up first, my phone calls a random number from the phone book when I try to hang up myself. The same happens if the headset gets touched accidentally.
