Xperia X10 :: IMEI Number Not Activated?
Dec 28, 2010Yesterday I bought a brand new Xperia X10 mobile with android 2.1 packed on November 2010 at a SONY Gallery in chennai. After unboxing the mobile, and initial settings, I could not either make a call or receive a call. The showroom guys made a call to Sony support and said, I need to wait for two days as the IMEI numbers are not unlocked yet. I was terribly disappointed since I cannot use the mobile for another two days. But today I just wanted to make a try and inserted my SIM and checked if i can make a call. To my surprise the call was working. I was happy that the phone is activated.
But after 45 minutes, now again I am facing the same problem. The calls are not working. Neither I am able to receive the call nor I can make a call.

Sep 10, 2014I bought another xperia z2 but I doubt that retailer sold me used phone. How can I make sure that the phone is not used and is first activated by me only. However, if the other end hangs up first, my phone calls a random number from the phone book when I try to hang up myself. The same happens if the headset gets touched accidentally.

Oct 23, 2014Both WIFI and Bluetooth cannot now be activated on my Xperia Z3. At either the WIFI screen or at the Bluetooth screen, the window is empty except the slider, and when the slider is moved from OFF to ON, it hangs there about five seconds then slips back to OFF. After rebooting and after a hard reset, wifi works and bluetooth works. But overnight the problem returned. WiFi and Bluetooth can no longer be activated.

One was the fact I couldn't play Facebook videos over 3G or 4G without getting the unknown error message which I've finally solved by downloading and enabling psiphon VPN connection mode! The other is when I enable 4G I can have it on for like 30 minutes after that my phone tends to lose all signal; meaning no texts or calls and no Internet based activity (unless on WiFi) until a restart of the phone which tends to solve the problem.

Aug 7, 2012Xperia Neo V. The Wifi function suddenly shut down tonight after I activated the 'Auto Synchronize' function in the settings. It appears that everytime after I try to turn the Wifi on, the screen is not responding and there isn't any wireless signals it can search (while there's actually several wifi signals), it's like the phone is dead, and I had to wait for like 10 seconds before the it started to respond. I tried to turn the phone off and restart it, but it didn't work. Other functions works well, only that I can't connect to internet since the wifi is not working.

When I'm in a call, sometimes I hear the sound of pressing a button, and when I take the phone away from my ear to check what happened, I keep finding the Notification Panel open with different options activated / deactivated. Sometimes I find it directly in Settings, in Battery Usage, in Date/Time, I think it depends on which option is pressed in the Notification Panel.

Aug 15, 2010Last month I got an iP4 on Vodafone contract through CPW and was porting over from o2. Nothing happened and, a month later I have a Vodafone subsidised iP4, no Vodafone contract and my old up and running o2 contract. I have checked the above with Voda and o2.
Now I've buggered up my sim card I need a new one. I have two choices.
a) Go back to CPW, tell them what's happened, give them a bollocking and demand that they sort my Vodafone contract so I can get on with it.
b) Go to o2 and ask for a new sim and carry on as normal. I haven't used the new phone as a phone yet due to no micro sim so I assume it'll take the o2 sim then lock to it?
Action has to be taken today as I have no working sim and need a phone but I change my mind every five minutes.

Sometimes a few times per day my phone goes to no service in a high signal area (tested with a other phone on the same network) Turning on airplane mode and off sometimes restored service.If that fails sometimes a reset network setting can restores service. But sometimes as the reset reboots the phone it then needs activated again! And it will not activate via Itunes or wi-fI. Also after a few reboots and telling the phone its getting replaced with a HTC is starts working again! I have also done a number of restores and total clear outs via itunes.
