an user of O2 iphone4 unlocked months ago, and I successfully activated FaceTime days ago. However, In wifi condition, my iphone4 cannot react to the Facetime invitation by Mac or other iphone4 and can not send the invitation as well.

I activated my iphone 4 to tmobile from att. Receiving/making call and text works well. But iMessage and Facetime is not working with my phone number, it just sending with my email address!I tried to change the receiving address to phone number but on my phone (setting-message-iMessage section), phone number bar is showing as verifying; same as on Facetime. Also its gray out and not possible to tab though. And finally verifying status changes to error... Even though my phone number seems as correct format with +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have ios5.1 with 4.12.01?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a factory unlocked (by AT&T) phone and I'm using it on T-Mobile US and iMessage and FaceTime won't work. iMessages won't send to the email that is supposed to work, and my phone number is greyed out. But they apparently activated (I got a bunch of stupid charges from the international text!) so $$$ is not the problem. Also, it's not jailbroken or anything.

So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions:
-will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...?
-otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
I used my upgrade on a second line to get my girlfriend an Iphone 4. She is not on my line. Last month I got an iP4 on Vodafone contract through CPW and was porting over from o2. Nothing happened and, a month later I have a Vodafone subsidised iP4, no Vodafone contract and my old up and running o2 contract. I have checked the above with Voda and o2.
Now I've buggered up my sim card I need a new one. I have two choices.
a) Go back to CPW, tell them what's happened, give them a bollocking and demand that they sort my Vodafone contract so I can get on with it.
b) Go to o2 and ask for a new sim and carry on as normal. I haven't used the new phone as a phone yet due to no micro sim so I assume it'll take the o2 sim then lock to it?
Action has to be taken today as I have no working sim and need a phone but I change my mind every five minutes.
I connected the iphone to my computer and make the update...then I can t activate the phone

I have an iphone 4 running IOS5.1. Sometimes a few times per day my phone goes to no service in a high signal area (tested with a other phone on the same network) Turning on airplane mode and off sometimes restored service.If that fails sometimes a reset network setting can restores service. But sometimes as the reset reboots the phone it then needs activated again! And it will not activate via Itunes or wi-fI. Also after a few reboots and telling the phone its getting replaced with a HTC is starts working again! I have also done a number of restores and total clear outs via itunes.

Does the iPhone4S have any way of showing you, on the desktop or the notification bar, whether or not your Bluetooth is activated? I am always leaving it on and forgetting that it is on. The notification screen shows whether or not Wi-Fi and/or 3G is active, but not Bluetooth. Is there a setting I can tweak to add Bluetooth notification to the notification bar or the desktop? Is there an app for this if Settings won't do it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedPeople calling me have sometimes complained that if I am not available to take the call, they have to wait for many rings - and hence a long time - before the messaging system kicks in. And sometimes, callers give up, assuming I don't have voicemail. I know you can limit the number of rings on other phones, but I haven't find out how to do it with my iPhone. I'm sure it's easy though!!
