View 9 RepliesUse my wife's Z2 for a while and wanting to buy but fortunately didn't because the phone been having call quality issue as in the other party can't hear clearly, sound muffled or voice breaking up. Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving issues with call quality on the 1020? I picked mine up yesterday. When I call some people they say I am coming in crystal clear, others say I am fading in and out. On my end, I get a weird feedback/static at end of people's words/sentences and it seems to be picking up background noise over the person's words. Very frustrating because there is NOTHING else wrong with this phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Blue Ant Q1 Blue Tooth headset and updated to the latest firmware on it. Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems. Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call. Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances. This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I phone someone or visa versa, I cannot hear anything whatsoever but they can apparently hear me.
I haven't dropped the phone, or done anything out of the ordinary. Checked all the settings and they are fine.
Ringtones work and other sounds on the phone work fine but I have the feeling it might be the internal speaker. =/ I have found that I can put a person on speaker phone and I can hear them but when I take it off I can't!

I am using a E52 with current FW and a T-Online VoIP account over a WLan connection served by a Speedport W900V WLan router connected to a 16.000k DSL. SIP seems to work fine, I can call out and receive calls. Incoming speech quality is fine. Problem is outgoing voice quality: This already starts with a bad quality (choppy) during the first seconds of the call and then detoriates with every further second. After approx 10-15 seconds the other party will hear only choppy unintelligble noise. The (repeatable) characteristic effect is that outgoing voice starts with acceptable quality and then over time gets worse, beeing un-understandable after 10-15 seconds.
Bandwith, jitter and QoS of the DSL line seem to be ok, VoIP telephony over a Speedport-connected telephone is great. I tried the NOKIA VoIP Settings Tool and with its help all available codecs without success. WLan reception of the E52 is very good.
Would be interested in your comments on the voice quality (call clarity, etc) of the BB Bold 9650...both in the ear speaker and to those with whom you are talking. I had heard that the voice quality was not so good on the prior Tour model and also found this to be true on an in-store test at Verizon. Would like to know your thoughts about how it is on the newer model Bold 9650.

View 10 Replies View Relatedwhat's the verdict on the voice quality with noise suppression set back to "normal"? People that I've called seem to think it's acceptable now (haven't been asked to repeat myself), but if asked to choose, they do still believe that the "off" setting provides a better sounding voice, i.e. less muffled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo far neither verizon or Sony can tell me when my phone will be able to use data while on a voice call. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with verizon in regards to not being able to use voice and data at the same time. They told me it needs to support Advance Calling 1.0(a verizon specific feature allowing voice calls on GSM data). When I asked when it will be updated they pointed me towards Sony saying they will create and push the update.

My photon is my first Android phone. I'm generally happy but have to say that voice recognition is atrocious. It's effectively unusable. It can't even recognize me saying "yes".My previous phones were a WinMo Treo Pro, preceded by a Palm OS Treo 750. Both had decent voice recognition. I was actually impressed with the WinMo recognition quality, although the functionality was limited.

Moreover, when such notifications are received, the signal drops off at the same time. I can't make any phone call or receive any call.
I did update the firmware to 4.4, but the problem still exists.

View 14 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded from 5.0.1, my 4s has had the worst cal quality on At&t. It makes calls fine however once in conversation my voice drops out for 2-3 seconds about 10 times a min according to the folks I am speaking with. And when my voice does come through it sounds muffled. I always have at least 4-5 bars. I have traded in my 4s now four times but every phone I get in return comes pre-loaded with 5.1. Is there a way to drop back down to ios 5.0.1?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am now on my 3rd droid 4, all have had issues with the ear speaker (speaker used when making calls and holding handset to ear) The 1st phone was the worst but I also had it for the longest. All phones started out perfectly clear but progressed into poor speaker sound. If you switch it to the hands free speaker during a call the persons voice sounds perfect but the ear speaker produces a static scratchy noise whenever someone is talking to you.I absolutely love the phone except for these speaker issues, I just want the thing to work correctly. Again, it is the speaker, not a connection issue seeing as the hands free works fine, I have also tried changing the bands in the program menu (##program)Im to the point where I am about ready to jump ship and give the razor maxx a try but I would really rather keep the 4 as I WANT a physical qwerty.Looking for answers, others that are experiencing the same problems, and possibly hearing that motorola is aware of the issue and has corrected it hopefully stating which serial #'s may have new better equiptment (speakers)
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been evaluating different Sprint phones for our company and decided to try the XPRT after using the Nexus S4G for a couple of weeks and dealing with the signal issues. I really like everything about this phone but I'm having other callers complain about my voice/call quality on their end. I'm told it sounds digitized and sometimes parts of the words seem to be lost almost like noise cancellation. I've tested this myself using my office phones and have had the same call quality issues. I did install the latest update which didn't seem to make a difference. I know the Droids had some of these same problems but it looks like those were fixed with a firmware update. Is anyone else having call quality issues on the far end?
