View 14 RepliesFor those who have the Lumia 950XL, can you comment on signal strength as it relates to the Dual Antenna feature that was touted when the device was first announced? I kept hearing about this Adaptive Antenna Technology that blends signal from two antennas and that the 950XL utilized this technology. Was it just another one of those hype vehicles to sell units or does the Lumia 950XL actually get better signal/reception due to this adaptive antenna feature?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm in the market for a new phone, and I like the looks of the 2730. I know its basic but right now I don't need a smartphone. It reminds me of the 6700 Classic, but I'm sure the quality can't be as good. (I haven't tried either one, only read some reviews online). How is the reception quality of the 2730? Also curious about the build quality, too.Does it feel cheap?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy partner and I have just gotten Xperia Z5 Compacts and are both experiencing really bad call quality. The caller on the other end is mumbly and sounds far away and during the call it jumps from being really loud to really soft, and the whole time unclear.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere's been some harping on the muffled voice quality on the vibrant and captivate. Can anyone with these phones comment on this? I've tried the vibrant gps and had no issues. I'm with rogers so the captivate will be coming my way. I also know that most who ***** tend to voice them and those being happy do so away from here! Post your opinions on the voice quality, GPS or the phone in general.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am now on my 3rd droid 4, all have had issues with the ear speaker (speaker used when making calls and holding handset to ear) The 1st phone was the worst but I also had it for the longest. All phones started out perfectly clear but progressed into poor speaker sound. If you switch it to the hands free speaker during a call the persons voice sounds perfect but the ear speaker produces a static scratchy noise whenever someone is talking to you.I absolutely love the phone except for these speaker issues, I just want the thing to work correctly. Again, it is the speaker, not a connection issue seeing as the hands free works fine, I have also tried changing the bands in the program menu (##program)Im to the point where I am about ready to jump ship and give the razor maxx a try but I would really rather keep the 4 as I WANT a physical qwerty.Looking for answers, others that are experiencing the same problems, and possibly hearing that motorola is aware of the issue and has corrected it hopefully stating which serial #'s may have new better equiptment (speakers)
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been evaluating different Sprint phones for our company and decided to try the XPRT after using the Nexus S4G for a couple of weeks and dealing with the signal issues. I really like everything about this phone but I'm having other callers complain about my voice/call quality on their end. I'm told it sounds digitized and sometimes parts of the words seem to be lost almost like noise cancellation. I've tested this myself using my office phones and have had the same call quality issues. I did install the latest update which didn't seem to make a difference. I know the Droids had some of these same problems but it looks like those were fixed with a firmware update. Is anyone else having call quality issues on the far end?

as soon i turn off the wifi, the call quality goes back to normal. is this yet another bug? will it be fixed with an update? what's the story on this moto?
My Atrix was working just fine for the past month, and this morning all of a sudden I'm not getting ANY signal/reception. I can't make phone calls nor send texts. Sometimes the signal comes back but it's just for 2 or 3 minutes and then the signal is completely gone again. When I plug the SIM card into another phone it works just fine so that rules out AT&T's problem. Wi-fi works just fine. I factory reset the phone but the problem still exists. I am already out of the 30-day return/exchange policy, what can I do? Is this problem going to be fixed for the next update?
Screen shot shows when my phone is completely out of signal.
I am experiencing low call quality on my Xperia Ray Android version ICS 4.0.4, I compared it to Xperia mini pro Android version ICS 4.0.4. The call quality on Xperia mini was much better.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded from 5.0.1, my 4s has had the worst cal quality on At&t. It makes calls fine however once in conversation my voice drops out for 2-3 seconds about 10 times a min according to the folks I am speaking with. And when my voice does come through it sounds muffled. I always have at least 4-5 bars. I have traded in my 4s now four times but every phone I get in return comes pre-loaded with 5.1. Is there a way to drop back down to ios 5.0.1?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
how can you prevent accidentally touching the screen when on a call? I was on a call when the other person couldn't hear me after through the conversation. I subsequently discovered I had accidentally hit the mute button on the touchscreen with my face or ear.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUse my wife's Z2 for a while and wanting to buy but fortunately didn't because the phone been having call quality issue as in the other party can't hear clearly, sound muffled or voice breaking up. Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHaving issues with call quality on the 1020? I picked mine up yesterday. When I call some people they say I am coming in crystal clear, others say I am fading in and out. On my end, I get a weird feedback/static at end of people's words/sentences and it seems to be picking up background noise over the person's words. Very frustrating because there is NOTHING else wrong with this phone.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo, the call quality of the 6p is quite dreadful. I'm 5/5 in phone calls made where people have complained about not being able to hear me. However, someone said that disabling the noise cancellation in the build.prop can fix this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want you to try a couple of things based off what about to say. Today when I was around my house doing the normal everyday thing my phone at this time would have between 3-4 bars. As soon as I touched the left side slowly my phone dropped connection. (We all know this) Now the interesting part is today I was driving around and stoped by my local coffee shop. I looked at my phone and sure enough it was blue with full five bars. I tried every angle to touch the left side and guess what I could not get it to drop any bars. So I guess my point of this post is to see if people have tired this test in different spots just not around their office or home. I believe this issue is more widespread then customers are willing to admit or at least test.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I waited patiently in line for my iPhone 4 at my local AT&T store this morning. I paid and then left with my brand new phone. I decided to test out the RF of the phone by driving through weak areas. Places where my 3gs and Bold 9700 lost signal the 4 held on strong (calling and texting too). There were a few places where all phones were lost as far as getting a signal, but the iPhone 4 had usable coverage in places others didn't. Later in the afternoon I left on vacation (at the hotel now) and the iPhone 4 held on where the other phones always lost it (the gaps between two towers). My brother complained he didn't have any signal (LG AT&T phone) and I looked at my iPhone 4 and had 2 bars EDGE. Got to the hotel and only had 2 bars 3G with the iPhone 4. I put my brother's sim in my 3gS and that phone remained at 'No Service'. It won't magically create signal, but IMO the iPhone 4 does an amazing job of finding service and holding on in fringe areas. With all of the "reception" issues, I thought I'd just like to point out not all of us are having the same issues.
*I've used BB 9700, 3GS, and v3xx all within the past 3 months or so.
So whenever I use hangouts to place a call (to a conference line for example) 3g/4g work fantastically, better than a cellular call. However if I am on wifi the hangouts call audio is constantly speeding up and slowing down, and people complain they cant hear me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my nokia 5530 for around 3 months.since yesterday, the reception bar keeps going up and down by itself.I am with 02 and my sim works fine in another phone.I have soft-reset and hard-reset my phone, It seems ok for now. How do i fix it or should i send it back.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI sold my Omnia i900 and now I only have the C902, I'm looking for a replacement phone and came across ELM and it it around US$230 in my country. Here are my questions
1) Is it a good deal ?
2) What about signal reception issues ? are they fixed with the latest firmware?
3) Screen quality is better than C902 or or worse ?
4) found a slightly used X10 mini for US$280.
What is the phone I should go with? ELM or the X10 mini.
I'm on Fido's network and have already my previous iPhone with Apple for the same issue. My phone just loses reception and goes in "searching" mode. Toggling "airplane" mode doesn't work either. Today I didn't have service for good two hours. Sometimes it would show I have reception but won't allow me to make a call or send text message. My current iPhone is just over a week old but the guy at the Apple store said its an issue with my carrier. I know thats not true since my wife has an iPhone as well and she never has this problem. I'm using the latest version software on my 3GS. Should I swap it again because this is becoming a headache now?
Anyone else having the same problem and if so then have you been able to resolve it?
I can have full signal bars and 3G service and as soon as I hit the send button to make a call or receive a call all the signal bars and the 3G disappear. I have had poor call quality since I have owned the phone. I traded for this phone, so taking it to verizon for a replacement is not an option. I have done a complete reset on the phone, and verizon has done all they can do as for reprogramming. Has anyone else had this problem?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to increase my service or reception on this phone? I bearly get a bar inside my house and i live in a good coverage zone. I have virgin mobile. View 4 Replies View RelatedI need help getting cell tower reception on my phone. Using China Unicom as Network Carrier. I am located in Guangzhou China (a major metropolis). The problem is not with the SIM Card itself because it has been tested and placed in other phones & it works well. Reception Bars fluctuate between 0-2 bars at most, both in and outdoors.Have noticed these problems since upgrading the phone to IOS 5.0 & now also on 5.1.1. No problem with Wi-Fi Networks. I have also tried Resetting the Network & taking out the SIM Card and putting it back in, but this has not helped.
