I can't hear on my phone - if it is sprint to sprint carrier it is not so bad but land line or Verison I can't hear and caller can't hear me either - is there a software fix for this?

Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems.Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call.Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances.This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using a E52 with current FW and a T-Online VoIP account over a WLan connection served by a Speedport W900V WLan router connected to a 16.000k DSL. SIP seems to work fine, I can call out and receive calls. Incoming speech quality is fine. Problem is outgoing voice quality: This already starts with a bad quality (choppy) during the first seconds of the call and then detoriates with every further second. After approx 10-15 seconds the other party will hear only choppy unintelligble noise. The (repeatable) characteristic effect is that outgoing voice starts with acceptable quality and then over time gets worse, beeing un-understandable after 10-15 seconds.
Bandwith, jitter and QoS of the DSL line seem to be ok, VoIP telephony over a Speedport-connected telephone is great. I tried the NOKIA VoIP Settings Tool and with its help all available codecs without success. WLan reception of the E52 is very good.
Would be interested in your comments on the voice quality (call clarity, etc) of the BB Bold 9650...both in the ear speaker and to those with whom you are talking. I had heard that the voice quality was not so good on the prior Tour model and also found this to be true on an in-store test at Verizon. Would like to know your thoughts about how it is on the newer model Bold 9650.

Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.

On my end, I get a weird feedback/static at end of people's words/sentences and it seems to be picking up background noise over the person's words. I read the threads suggested for my subject entry, and some people seem to have great luck, while others don't. I've tried the voice adaption in a silent room, I've tried turning off prompts, etc... It remains literally TOTALLY useless.
"Call Pete" results in "Please try again". I try again, and I get, "Sorry, command not recognized."
"Call Home" yields "Did you say, Call ATT Customer Service?" What?
Thinking maybe I have a bad mic element in the phone, I tried my BT headset. With that, "Call Pete" results in "Calling Ford Dealer Work 1" and then to add insult to injury, "she" says, "Next time, just say "call Ford dealer work 1".
I really used the heck out of voice dialing on my previous phones, and find it hard to believe that a much newer phone won't work at all. I hate regressing with technology.
I'm still in my 30-days "satisfaction guarantee" and I may just have to try something else. I can't believe this function is so totally useless.

One of my friend gifted me Blackberry verizon 9630. I subscribed vodafone bb services Rs.599 plan. Vodafone said BB services activated on 20th May 2011. From that date i tried to configure the same, But in vain. The following methods i tried, Host routing table ->Register->registration message sent->then i pulled out the battery and SIM card and again i repeated. Till date i did it nearly 100 times. subsequently i spoke to vodafone chennai. No proper response from them. I can make a call and receive . Also i can send and receive SMS. But Data Services i can't .

I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. I don't get either of these any longer -- not the big notification or even the little icon with the number beside it. View 24 Replies View RelatedFor at least the last 6 months I've been having a constant problem with making phone calls from my blackberry. Whenever I make a call more 99% of the time I have problems where the person's voice on the other end of the phone is constantly breaking up.or the voice sounds distorted (the only way I can really describe this is that it sounds almost like someone's playing the sound back in slow motion with a lot of inteference noise mixed in). Other times I have attempted to make a phone call and after waiting to hear a ringtone while the screen reads "connecting" for a while, I get the "call failed" message. I would put these problems down to bad signal but when I make the calls my phone always has at least 3 bars of signal. At first I wasn't sure if the problems were from my phone or whether it was from the phones I've been calling, but today I've called 3 different numbers and had exactly thesame problem with it.

I just got a Lumia 950, set up all my accounts, added Skype, and now my Skype messages show up in the app AND in my Messaging hub. I wouldn't mind, but now I'm getting Messaging alerts AND Skype alerts that I have new messages when I receive a Skype message. I did find a setting in Skype that turns off the messaging alerts for Skype messages, but they're still showing up, even when I'm using Skype on my PC. In two hours of work this morning this has gone past confusing to the point of being annoying.
