I just got my 3GS swapped at Apple and it's at the no sim insert sim for activation. I read Spirit requires an activated phone, can I use Pwnage tool or insert an old sim and Spirit, then through Cydia do the ultrasnow unlock? Which method would you all suggest?

Do I just plug it into itunes and restore then download the new 3.1.3 and new version of redsnow and jail break like i originally did? Also what's the best way to save all my contacts, photos, music before I restore?

I have been searching the web with no luck on how to go about updating to 3.1.3 and keeping all my apps. I have made a backup of my phone, and was thinking about clicking update in itunes to 3.1.3 and then running spirit then doing a restore of the backup. Is this the right way i should be doing this?

I immediately noticed an app on the phone called Cydia. I had never seen a jail broken iPhone before but I have heard the name Cydia associated with JBing, but I assumed the cydia app on the display phone was something legit. I asked one of the geniuses if the phones were jailbroken because several of the phones had the cydia app on them. He scoffed and said of course they're not jail broken. Then another genius told me that they were indeed jail broken and proceeded to remove them all from the display.

My phone: 3gs, jailbroken on 3.1.2 with bootrom 5.11.07 using pwnagetool 3.1.4. Itunes is at 9.1.Basically I'm stuck in recovery mode and I can't restore my phone. I get error messages in itunes everytime.
It started when I mistakenly updated itunes to 9.1. My phone wasn't being recognized to sync. So I thought why not erase all content on the phone itself? Stupid me didn't research it and didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that.
After the erase, my phone was in a constant cycle of rebooting (with the pineapple logo) and it wasn't being recognized on itunes. So I put it in recovery mode and tried restoring my custom ipsw and it won't. Tried restoring to factory settings in itunes and it won't.
Is the phone bricked? Is there anything I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've researched for a couple of days and nothing seems to work.

On several occassions, I've heard my iPhone 4S - while locked and set down flat -- make a sound that is similar to coins rattling or a piece of glass breaking. I checked all my alert sounds and no sound like that is even an option. When I pick up the phone and unlock it after, everything is fine and there's no message displaying.

So I reset the phone and now its stuck on apple logo and doesn't change. periodically it will give me a white spiral on the bottom of the apple logo but that is it. View 6 Replies View RelatedFor at least the last 6 months I've been having a constant problem with making phone calls from my blackberry. Whenever I make a call more 99% of the time I have problems where the person's voice on the other end of the phone is constantly breaking up.or the voice sounds distorted (the only way I can really describe this is that it sounds almost like someone's playing the sound back in slow motion with a lot of inteference noise mixed in). Other times I have attempted to make a phone call and after waiting to hear a ringtone while the screen reads "connecting" for a while, I get the "call failed" message. I would put these problems down to bad signal but when I make the calls my phone always has at least 3 bars of signal. At first I wasn't sure if the problems were from my phone or whether it was from the phones I've been calling, but today I've called 3 different numbers and had exactly thesame problem with it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just shifted from Samsung S4 to Sony Xperia Z2 supposing that Z2 has best feature as on date. It seems it's true till some extent however I am struggling with the call quality issue specially other party is not able to hear my voice clearly.
I tested it many times now it's very frustrating, everything is fine during usage of headphone but again same problem when I am taking calls directly from my cell.
I just got a Lumia 950, set up all my accounts, added Skype, and now my Skype messages show up in the app AND in my Messaging hub. I wouldn't mind, but now I'm getting Messaging alerts AND Skype alerts that I have new messages when I receive a Skype message. I did find a setting in Skype that turns off the messaging alerts for Skype messages, but they're still showing up, even when I'm using Skype on my PC. In two hours of work this morning this has gone past confusing to the point of being annoying.

When playing my music, it seems to break up, just like a bad connection to a radio station.
This happens with any kind of music on my phone, regardless if its a album on my phone on streaming a live radio station.
Every other related function seams to be ok.
I’m trying to resolve an issue i have with my Sony MW1 Bluetooth headset when doing Skype or Hangouts calls
For some reason when using a Bluetooth headset (Used a Sony MW1 Smart Wireless Headset Pro, set and a Fiat Blue&Me Car Bluetooth) the sound keeps breaking off both for me and the person I’m calling. I get long brake after witch the sound returns for a while.
When using a wired headset there is no issue like this. nor do I have the issue when i do regular phone calls using the sets
Furthermore sometimes the Bluetooth sound doesn’t turn on at all, so I get no sound neither on the loudspeaker nor on the Bluetooth set although the BT volume is set to max
I've read many conflicting articles. Can it be jailbroken yet? It's a brand new phone and has 3.1.3 installed on it.

i went to get my iphone 4s replaced. but It is brand new and seaded. After 2 days using it. I found that mine has a few tiny dust under the screen and i have made an appointment at Genius Bar. I returned my iphone 4s on Saturday for a new one because the camera on the old one won't work. I came home and synced and updated the new one. The new one will not hold a charge from fully charged for more than 3 hours. The upgrades to the new phone took over an hour. Why won't the new phone hold a charge?

Well today I went and got my brand new iPhone 3GS. Plugged it in. Followed all the Pwnagetool guides to the T and when I get to the very last part, I got error message 1600, unable to restore. Surfing around I believe that my iPhone can not be jailbroken? Is that the case? iPhone just gets stuck in DFU or recovery mode and have to restore the iPhone with original apple firmware. On the last try I got a completely black screen and the iPhone only came back to life when I restored it with apple software. Any help is appreciated. I think because I have the lastest bootrom or loader I can not jailbreak as Pwnage tool doesnt support it yet. DAMN! I wanted Proswitcher and Backgrounder.
