I returned my iphone 4s on Saturday for a new one because the camera on the old one won't work. I came home and synced and updated the new one. The new one will not hold a charge from fully charged for more than 3 hours. The upgrades to the new phone took over an hour. Why won't the new phone hold a charge?
i went to get my iphone 4s replaced. but It is brand new and seaded. After 2 days using it. I found that mine has a few tiny dust under the screen and i have made an appointment at Genius Bar. When i get there could i ask them for the brand new iphone 4s instead of a refurb like many people said. Cos i don't want to spend my money on a refurb one.
i ordered a iphone 4 s 16 GB via apple store. recieved delivery today. the phone is not configuring and refuses to recognise the micro sim card. what can i do?
Well today I went and got my brand new iPhone 3GS. Plugged it in. Followed all the Pwnagetool guides to the T and when I get to the very last part, I got error message 1600, unable to restore. Surfing around I believe that my iPhone can not be jailbroken? Is that the case? iPhone just gets stuck in DFU or recovery mode and have to restore the iPhone with original apple firmware. On the last try I got a completely black screen and the iPhone only came back to life when I restored it with apple software. Any help is appreciated. I think because I have the lastest bootrom or loader I can not jailbreak as Pwnage tool doesnt support it yet. DAMN! I wanted Proswitcher and Backgrounder.
I have received a brand new 3gs from apple yesterday, and it does in fact have the new bootrom and of course it came pre loaded with the 3.1.3 software , I have been reading all over that you can jailbreak but it is tethered, and then I have also heard that you can not jailbreak So I am confused.. Can I, or Can I NOT jailbreak?
I will be going overseas soon to Asia and a friend over there is requesting we get him an iPhone 3Gs and he will pay us back when there. Now, my friend over here, his sister just received an iPhone 3GS. She does not want it. It was a gift from an admirer and won't take it back. They are now going to just sell it and take the money. So my current situation is this, I currently have the iPhone box, sealed at my house. The box displays IMEI and some other information stuff. What I don't know is if the phone was bought from a carrier like Rogers/Fido or from a reseller store or something. The friend overseas would like the phone to be brand new and sealed. Also he would like the phone unlocked so he can use it.Problem, is there a way to find out through IMEI or somewhere on box to figure out if the phone was bought from a carrier? I've never bought an iPhone from Rogers/Fido so don't know if there'd be a logo or something somwhere on box. As of now there are no indications somewhere saying it is from a carrier. My friend over here also thinks it was not bought at a carrier. We can't really ask the original guy who bought it because of whatever issues too.So yeah, if anyone knows if its really easy to figure this out or something, please let me know.
I just bought an iphone 3gs and it came with ios 4.2.1 , the first thing i did was try to update to ios 5.1, and i keep on getting error 37. I tried disabling the antivirus, windows firewall and all the others solutions i found in discussions and nothing worked
I just purchased an iPhone 3GS. It came with iOS5 preinstalled. I haven't been able to make it go into silent mode. Is there some setting I need to switch?
In my 1st generation iPhone, all I had to do was flip the switch on the side of the iPhone, so that the orange dot would be seen, and it would display the crossed bell graphic and go into silent mode.
When I flip the switch on the iPhone 3GS, nothing happens. It still makes noise when it rings. I tried toggling the setting in "Sounds" which said "Change with Buttons", but the switch still doesn't work. Toggling this setting seems to affect whether the "speaker" graphic is on screen when I press the volume buttons.
It seems that there is no way I can get the ringer switch to do anything. Is there anyway to make this work? Or have I received a defective unit? =S
I have purchased a brand new iphone 4s of 16 gb and when i just took out of the packed box and switched on , it had black and whitevertical lines on the display.
Sometimes lines are light and sometimes dark , depending upon the background.
I have just received my iPhone 4S, activated the SIM and done the basic set up. It has some battery charge from factory. What is the best practice for charging the new battery.
1. Let this charge run down completely first and then recharge?
2. Charge up to full now?
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Bought it for oncall person at work last weekend. Have it all set up but it won't make a sound when calls come in. It will vibrate and when I select the sound in settings, it works there. Is it defective or do I have something set incorrectly?
I've bought a brand new 4s and it turned out to be a defect one, now it's been sent back so that I can get a handset to handset replacement. Now am concerned that this new one which am going to receive might be a refurbished one. I need to check the device, if it is a new one or a refurbished?
I purchased a 4s yesterday.I was reluctant but took the dive. I am incredibly disappointed to find that the bluetooth does not work with ANY other bluetooth device I try to 'discover.' It can't even DISCOVER other bluetooth devices! By what I've read online, this has been an issue.
I have a VERY new iPhone. I was wondering what hacks are available to me at this point in the hacking community. I have tried countless times and nearly bricked my phone half a dozen times now. Thank god for DFU mode. Anyway, I would love to jailbreak it (no need to unlock) but what I'm really after is tethering. Nothing works on 3.1.3 unless it's jailbroken and i cannot do that, or so links from google tell me. My phone is pwning me. Please tell me if I've lost the battle or there's still hope for me yet? Best to email me if you have something insightful, or post it here if you are ok with me not getting it for a while. SergioFerns@gmail.com.
Just got a brand new 32gb iphone 3gs from apple on warranty because of problems with my old phone.I haven't put my sim in yet. Just comes up with the screen that says "install a sim card to activate".I have an att sim card to use if need be.I want to jailbreak and unlock this phone. How do I see what bootrom I have? What steps do I take to jailbreak with ios4? Or should I stick with 3.1.3?
I just got my 3GS swapped at Apple and it's at the no sim insert sim for activation. I read Spirit requires an activated phone, can I use Pwnage tool or insert an old sim and Spirit, then through Cydia do the ultrasnow unlock? Which method would you all suggest?
I got a replacement for my iPhone 4 today and it got disconnected while i was putting my old backup on the device, Now it is stuck on the apple with a loading bar and is not recognized when i plug it into iTunes?
My cousin has another brand phone. It's a low-priced one and he can do videochat over 3g network with other brand phones. (Please don't interfere with Iphone3g). With my iphone 4, I can not videochat with him! His phone doesn't have wifi. So we can not do facetime, or skype conference (As far as I know). Can I do videochat with him without any additional application over 3g network?
I just got my iPhone 5s today, and already it is full, there are no photos/videos, only a little music (like 200 songs) and some apps. On iTunes it says it is full of 9.45 GB of "documents and data"... WHY? how can i free up more space??Â
I just got my iPhone 4 on Friday (release day here in Canada! yay!), and I also got an email from Apple saying my newly-ordered iMac has shipped! Best day ever... lol.
Anyways, I was wondering if this is possible: I manually added contacts from my old cell phone as well as my address book (Outlook Express on a 9 year old PC) to my iPhone. When I get my new iMac, will I be able to sync all of those contacts from my iPhone on to the iMac to populate my iMacs Address book app? Forgive my noobiness, but this is my first Mac ever, and my first iPhone (not counting my iPod touch).
I bought an iPhone 4S last night and while tinkering around in the settings, I noticed that the phone is showing a lifetime call total of 13 days, 22 hours! How can this be? I've had the phone for a total of 14 hours! Was I sold a refurb instead of a new product?
I had a MacBook Air and a 6 year old desktop PC. Everything I had was on both of them, so they acted as each other's back up. This Sunday evening just gone, my PC finally died a traumatic death, and I can't even get it to boot from Safe Mode. Then on Monday while I was at work, my house was burgled, and my MacBook Air was stolen, amongst many other things. All I have now is my iPhone 4S which was with me at the time. All my music, photos, videos etc are on my iPhone, but I'm very aware that when I eventually get my replacement MacBook from our insurance company (I'm being realistic and accepting that I'll never see my stuff again), as soon as I plug my phone into a blank iTunes library, I'll lose everything that's on there. Obviously I can re-download everything I've purchased from iTunes, though it will take a VERY long time and I still won't have playlists etc, and I can probably either Dropbox or email what photos I have on there, but I have a lot of video clips from over the last few years that aren't on my camera roll - they're in the phone as proper videos, in the video player app, and I can't get Dropbox to view that location, or figure out how to email them. The videos are very important to me and I really don't want to lose them; so much so that I'm thinking of never syncing my iPhone ever again! Basically, what I'm asking is, how can I copy everything from my iPhone into a blank iTunes library?
I have tried multiple resets, checked all the settings and the slider switch on the side. I didn't notice there was no sound until I got home from the store with it.
HI my 4 S doesn't take the charge any longer, and sometimes when I turn it off and plug it, it takes a little bit of charge but doesn't hold it long, and the phone get super hot. What should I do to fix that problem, I have donwload all the last version and the phone is only a few months old.
