I've just realized that such feature is only Froyo supported, I really need that while driving, do you know about apps to get such feature working?
View 5 RepliesPrior to the lollipop update everything was working fine. Now if I am listening to something on the Audible app or Pocketcast app the Google Maps voice will not break in with directions. There will just be a brief silence where it is trying to speak but no actual voice. If I pause the book or music the maps voice works. If I turn the Bluetooth on the phone off the voice breaks through just fine on the phone speaker. It's very frustrating.

I haven't dropped the phone, or done anything out of the ordinary. Checked all the settings and they are fine.
Ringtones work and other sounds on the phone work fine but I have the feeling it might be the internal speaker. =/ I have found that I can put a person on speaker phone and I can hear them but when I take it off I can't!

their echo during any call, overall speaking quality is very bad. No one can't hear me form my xperia z2 and I have latest firmware update 23.1.a.1.28 is a problem hardware or software.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with verizon in regards to not being able to use voice and data at the same time. They told me it needs to support Advance Calling 1.0(a verizon specific feature allowing voice calls on GSM data). When I asked when it will be updated they pointed me towards Sony saying they will create and push the update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I press the headset button, a black screen pops up with the text "initializing" (except in Italian because that's the language I use), and nothing else happens. The voice command interface does not appear and it doesn't work at all. Tried clearing data and doing other basic things but the problem keeps happening. Not sure if it's a bug with the phone's software or with Google Search.

Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I frequently receive the notification "Restricted access changed" along with "Voice call service blocked". I really don't know what cause such notifications and it is very annoying.
Moreover, when such notifications are received, the signal drops off at the same time. I can't make any phone call or receive any call.
I did update the firmware to 4.4, but the problem still exists.
Since the last update, my phone disconnects from my car bluetooth after everycall. When i get in the car it connects as it should but after a call is received or made it disconnects? As i mentioned it worked before the last update.

It seems that the new iPhone 5 will not be able to do this on Verizon and Sprint. This would really effect any one who may use hot spot sharing. Maybe I am just reading into this to much, or is this a possible move to keep iPhone off the VZW and S off there networks because it is a data hog? I just seems like a step back wards. I hope this doesn't move over to the android phones. It sounds like it may just be a limitation of the new iPhone's ability to work on several different networks, but don't you think a new device would have that covered? Just one more reason not to move over to Apple. I will keep my bionic as long as I can, and then purchase another android. After playing with some new phones the other day like the SIII, I think I will still be getting another Motorola when the time comes. The Motorola phone just flows better IMHO. [URL]

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a iPhone 6 (32gb) OS version 8.1.1 and a Jabra BCE-BT350 bluetooth ear piece. For the last month or two every time I make a call using my bluetooth it rings once on my bluetooth then automatically switches over to my iPhone speaker (not loud speaker, just regular). I have to get my iPhone and manually select my bluetooth device as the speaker, which defeats the safety feature of using a bluetooth. I've had this bluetooth for a while now and never had this issue until recently. Not sure its an issue with iPhone 6, OS 8, settings or Jabra.

I am thinking of getting a HTC One M8 phone, but first need to check that it supports Call Transfer as I need this option for work purposes. Here's the scenario:
- I get a call through from our business number which redirects to me
- I talk to the caller and they say they're looking for Bob
- I say I'll see if Bob is available and will transfer you over to him
- I follow the steps in the "Setting up a conference call" section of the documentation to put the caller on hold, call Bob and add him to the conference
- However I now want to drop off the call and let the original caller and Bob continue.
On the Samsung Galaxy S4/5 and Note 2/3/4 there is an option at this point to "Transfer Call", but I don't know if that option exists on the HTC One M8. The link says that I can tap a button "... to access options such as ending the call with a participant"
