Motorola Photon 4G :: Get App2SD To Use MicroSD?

Mar 6, 2012

I have a Motorola Photon 4G (MB855) and some how the Media Area (Storage) is full and is causing me all kinds of headaches. I have a 32GB Class 10 MicroSD Card in my phone but none of my Apps can see it. Under "Managing Applications" I can only move between Application Storage and Media Area; not to the actual MicroSD Card!If I put videos or music on thr MicroSD CArd, I have launch them through the File Manager and none of the cover art or anything loads because the Music And Video Apps are confused as to where the media is coming from and it has caused other problems during playback! Is there anyway to consolidate (un-partition) the internal NAND Flash Memory? Or at least configure the phone to use the MicroSD Card instead of the Media Area?

Xperia PLAY :: Is Sony Going To Release A Update For Automatic Screen Adjustment

Oct 2, 2011

I just purchased a new Sony Xperia Play & I love the phone minus a few things and one of them is the screen brightness, I just updated to the latest OS and It is very annoying when the screen is so dark until you hold it up to the light and then it is bright again, This was to be the replacement of my X10 and if I could get the screen brightness issue fixed I would be a happy camper. I searched and see there is only one fix for it right now and that is to root your phone and apply the fix but I do not want to attempt to do that quite yet. If anyone has heard if Sony plans on fixing this or if there is another way around it please let me know for I am still looking at the new Samsung Galaxy II Infuse 4G which was my other option other than the Play.

Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: "Default Input Settings" Keeps Re-enabling Itself?

Dec 6, 2010

with the tiny screen size of the mini pro, I find the language bar that comes up when typing with the hardware keyboard very, very irritating. I mean, who in the world needs to quickly change keyboard languages in the middle of a text message? So, back under 1.6, I found out that you could just uncheck the Default Input Settings box under "Language and Keyboard" and the stupid bar would go away. All I did was uncheck it once, and everything was great! But, being greedy, I updated to the 2.1 update1 Singapore firmware, and now the langauge bar is back. I can go into the settings and uncheck it the default input settings box, and in some random amount of time, it will magically reenable itsself. I probably do this about 10 times a day, which is seriously imparing my enjoyment of the phone. I've tried using advanced task killer to autokill backround applications and processes, but I can't seem to make any progress on this.

BB Bold :: Enabling BBS On New 9930?

Aug 16, 2012

I live outside the US and own a Blackberry Bold 9700 which has Blackberry Enterprise Service; I recently purchased a Bold 9930 unlocked from verizon in the US and wish to use it instead of my old 9700. How can I go about switching the Blackberry service from my old phone to my new 9930?

I am able to make calls with the 9930 but have been unable to activate the Enterprise service on it. I have tried using the desktop software to switch devices but that seems to have only transfered the data from my old phone to the new one.

IPhone :: 3GS Touchscreen Enabling During A Call

Jun 30, 2010

I've noticed on my 4 that when I'm in a call holding the phone to my ear the touchscreen periodically enables. I can see this specifically at night when I can see a flash of light from the screen. I've had it several times that during one of these times when the screen enables I've ended up hitting the speaker button w/ the side of my face which is quite annoying.

Never noticed this on my first gen iPhone or on my 3GS.Anyone else noticed this or had this issue? Really annoying to be having a conversation and all of the sudden the convo is on speaker.

BB Bold :: Error With Enabling Mobile Hotspot?

Feb 1, 2012

I have recently upgraded to the official RIM release of 7.1 from [URL] which means that I'm running 7.1 .0.205. With this I get the Mobile Hotspot functionality, finally! I've configured the APN username and password requested, and created a 16 charactor password for the hotspot itself. I've verified these are correct. Now, whenever I try to enable the Mobile Hotspot, I get a pop up error message that states:"The mobile data network that your device is connected to does not support this feature" with the title "Mobile HotSpot".To complicate matters, I am currently abroad, and hence roaming away from my home network. However, I can confirm that I am able to access the internet on the built in browser and can send and receive emails on the blackberry itself.

On another note, I thought that maybe the problem may be incorrect APN settings, so I tried to access the 'Mobile HotSpot' settings in order to update this, and I get a very unhelpful message that says:'Before Opening Mobile HotSpot Options, go to Manage Connections and turn on Mobile Hotspot'Clearly, I can't do that, so am pretty much stuck. I found that wiping the device allows me to re enter the credentials, and these still do not work. I even tried to add in the APN details of the network that I am roaming onto, and still no luck.

Device info: Blackberry Bold 9900.Your carrier: Vodafone UK, Currently Roaming on Swisscom in Switzerland.Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): 7.1.0.205, Platform 5.1.0.181?Apps and free space: No Apps installed.?File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): 227303112 Bytes Did a battery pull fix your issue? No Apps installed and their version if possible: No Apps installed (Wiped device)

Galaxy S6 Edge :: WiFi Automatically Enabling Itself

Jul 13, 2015

This past weekend, I went to my cabin for the first time with my new S6 Edge. During the drive, I had no Sprint (home) coverage, but there was roaming coverage.

My problem is this. Whenever I roamed, my WiFi would automatically kick in and connect to my GoPro (dash camera). Obviously, my GoPro WiFi does not provide any internet access, so my phone would loose all data connectivity, meaning I don't get text messages or e-mails (I use Google Hangouts, converts texts to data).

I would disable the WiFi on the cellphone from the swipe-down menu, but 1 minute later it would just reactivate itself and connect to my GoPro. I even watched it this by keeping the swipe-down menu open and watched the WiFi button go from gray (disabled) to yellow (enabled) without me touching anything. I eventually disabled the wifi on my GoPro, but this is not ideal because I had another device connected to keep an eye on what it sees. I obviously lost this other device when I turned the wifi off in the gopro.

The wifi would still keep enabling itself, but it would have no network to connect to, so it continued to use my roaming data as expected. However, since the wifi was on, it drained my battery faster, and it would still enable itself whenever I turned it off.

I did disable the Connection Optimizer, verified I had roaming data and voice enabled (Domestic), etc. Is there something else that would force the wifi to become enabled when I don't want it to?

I would also like to point out it does not do this when I am connected to Sprint's network, even if I don't have data on Sprint's network. It only does it when I am roaming.

IPhone :: Auto-enabling Or Disabling Bluetooth And/or Wifi?

Mar 19, 2012

My iPhone connects to my car with a USB/jack connector cable - the type that came with the car. Is there a way to have the iPhone (4S) automatically enable Bluetooth ONLY when I'm in the car and I hook up the phone, and to have it automatically disable Bluetooth when I disconnect and leave the car? The idea is that I will ONLY ever need/want Bluetooth active when in the car.

Similarly, is it possible to have the iPhone disable wifi when I'm away from my home wifi environment and enable it again when back home? I'm specifically looking for a solution that is automatic and that requires NO human intervention each time.
