View 1 RepliesI can't swear that this applies to the Droid X² too. But it definitely does to the Droid X.For those Droid X owners without a Verizon Unlimited Data plan, this may be of interest, since the Verizon's new tiered data pricing structure just went into effect.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes the RAZR hardware support USB host mode? Will it function under Gingerbread? Will it function under ICS? I know the Galaxy S2 support this. I expect the Galaxy Nexus will. I want the RAZR and I hope it also supports this, at least under ICS.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBeen having horrendous problems with data connectivity. I take the train from Baltimore to DC every day, and w/my OG Droid, never had problems, even if one or two location only seemed to have 1x available. With my Bionic, however, I am frequently dropping my data connection completely (moreso than it seems when I bought the phone in September -- not 100% sure since I wasn't paying close attention to it those first couple weeks). For the heck of it, I thought I report it on twitter and see what kind of response I would get from @VZWSupport. (I always get better Comcast support from their twitter folks than from my local office).Got a response (see attached graphic). They told me to enable data roaming. Really? Anybody had success with that? I'm worried about running up a huge bill.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI primarily use my notebook to charge my Droid 4 through USB. With the ICS update, I can't choose a "charge only" option anymore. I now have to make sure to safely remove the drives before unplugging the phone. Is there a way to get the "charge only" option back?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy phone had an 80% charge last night and the nightime battery extender mode was on (as it is every night). Five hours later I woke to the flashing green light so I tried to check my messages. The screen would not come on. I knew the phone hadn't powered off because of the green light. I called from my home phone but there was no sound either. I looked online and found how to force a reboot (power on and volume down button at same time). The phone came on and said it still had a 50% charge. It did NOT show my missed calls! I called Verizon and they tried to say it was a fluke thing and not to worry. This has never happened before and the phone is only a month old. I rely on the phone as an alarm so this is especially disturbing, as well as the unknown missed calls.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Bionic with the car mount. I can only put the phone in car mode with the mount. I don't have a Car Mode Icon. I would like to go in to Car Mode without putting the phone on the mount. While in the car I made some settings default, like the Music, and I would like to undo this but can't find a way to do change it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDansDroid spoke of starting in safe mode to determine if my problem was internal or third party software.
How do I start my device in "safe mode"? Heck before he mentioned it in his answer I didn't know that option even existed.
why the icons are orange when in the Motorola Car Kit?
They used to be a grey color, suddenly, they are orange. I have cycled power on/off.
Also, can I change the icons on the screen when in the car mode?
My mic does not work in speakerphone mode. I does however work in normal phone mode, and at the same distances that it does not work in speaker mode. Google voice search works just fine. I'm certain that the mic is not the problem. A factory reset did not solve the issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I started to notice this a few weeks ago, My Droid 2 Global would automaticlly switch into silent mode all by itself at 10:00pm. No matter if it is in my pocket, or on my desk, or in the media dock. I find this to be quite annoying and missed a lot of calls and texts because of this. What I would like to know, is there a setting that control auto silent mode?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNew phone goes into standby mode frequently when Data is being changed in an app like the alarm. When changing the alarm function hour, every time the alarm hour is advanced, the phone goes blank, you have to hit the power button, then slide your finger across the screen to unlock the screen which puts me back in the alarm. When I make another advance in get hour, the phone goes back to standby mode, but happens in other apps too. I have already tried resetting the phone to factory defaults, with the same results.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a XOOM FE and am using Motoprint Host Service in an attempt to print to my Brother MFC-490CW. I'm running Vista 64bit on my PC, and the Host Service is running. However, Motoprint on my Xoom FE can't see my PC host. Is there something I need to configure on my PC? My PC is connected to my wireless router via wi-fi and my printer is USB cabled to the PC. As FYI, I can see my PC's shared folders from my laptop and can also see my Brother printer via the "Find Printer" function in Motoprint (but of course can't connect to it directly as it's not compatible with Motoprint). I can also print to the Brother printer via Brother's Android wi-fi app, but Motoprint can print more document types, so I'd really like to get it to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past week I've been running in high accuracy location mode because, for one I wanted to see if battery saving mode really saved much battery, and, also when I do need gps it's already on. I found that any difference in battery drain is negligible because gps is almost never on unless I'm specifically using it. Also if I have a phone with certain capabilities I want to utilize those capabilities. And what you've found as far as battery drain.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI really hate how I have to choose a set time to have my phone go to sleep. I watch the stock market while I am working at my computer and using my phone and it will automatically go to sleep after a set time that only goes up to 10 minutes with the new ICS 4.0.4. Why can't I deactivate this? This is really annoying.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust goofing around, I figured out that there may be a workaround to the lack of a charge-only mode, at least on Windows systems. Connect the phone, and it will show up as a mass-storage device in Windows Explorer and start charging the phone. Now, click the tray icon to "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media." That disconnects the mass storage device, yet leaves the charger working.
