None of my apps download anything when the phone is locked. Eg, whatsapp, viber etc.
1. Removed all battery saving apps
2. Stamina is turned OFF
3. Background data restriction is OFF
4. Wi-Fi is ON, even while phone is asleep
5. Said apps are set to correct options for notifications, sound, downloading.
6. No change after upgrading the OS months ago
7. Heaps of Googling to try and find an answer.
I had a Nokia 5800 Xpress, and it was always locked using "Phone Auto Lock" due to having sensitive information contacts, sms, emails etc. as below
Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. >Security > Phone and SIM card > Phone autolock period
My phone is by mistake being locked out and generated a 100 dollars bill.
Never ever leave any sim on this phone.
I have Z2 and I love this phone but sometimes ı forget my phone in some places.. My problem is when my phone is locked i can shut the phone down I want something when my phone is locked nobody can shut it down..

My z3 is abt 6 months old. Recently I locked my phone and tried unlocking it but the screen never turned on though I can see the screen lighting up a bluish colour but the display doesn't appear. I have to switch off the phone for around half an hour and restart for it to work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues.  When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked".  I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have.  I have called Sony and they could not provide a code.  I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

View 10 Replies View RelatedScreen unlock pattern failed 20 times, phone is now locked pending google username and password, which I have enter hundreds of times with no success, I know the username and password is correct as I can log in via PC and view latest downloads on my phone etc.
Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update"
Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.
In lollipop, I see the option for creating guest account. During phone is locked with pattern or pin, anybody can just pull down the notification bar and create a guest a account and access my all personal files with file manager with guest account. So I want to avoid this. How can do that nobody can create guest account while my phone is locked.

Result: After about 5s, the timer alarm sounds for about 0.5s and is mute afterwards. If there's music playing in the background (from the walkman app), you may get just a short 'blank' in the audio stream (also about 0.5s long).
I tap "ok" and the message comes back again. The strange thing is that the message is in spanish (I have my phone in English and that the lockscreen photo has dissapeared and the xperia theme is there now.
It seems like the phone is working ok in the background, but I cannot access the homescreen.

I can take screenshots, change the volume, etc. and as I could access the phone's internal and sdcard I made all the backups as possible.
Ok, this is a very basic question. I'm currently an Android user. Does the data connection turn off after some time when iphone is locked/sleep mode or does data connection always stay on?

The phone was on Android 4.4.2 when I used the Backup & Restore application to backup my System apps data, and some of my Downloaded apps with data. I had to upgrade to 4.4.4. I think it was a mistake that I didn't make a backup on 4.4.4 as well. Now I've upgraded to 5.0, and all of my apps & settings were kept, but I wanted to start clean, so I did a factory reset.

Now when I'm trying to use the Backup & Restore app again to Restore the backup file I made on 4.4.2, a window pops up saying "Cannot restore, Selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file."
So far neither verizon or Sony can tell me when my phone will be able to use data while on a voice call. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with verizon in regards to not being able to use voice and data at the same time. They told me it needs to support Advance Calling 1.0(a verizon specific feature allowing voice calls on GSM data). When I asked when it will be updated they pointed me towards Sony saying they will create and push the update.

On my iTunes screen I was told I needed to insert a SIM card in order to continue with the installation of the iOS4. I used my friend's SIM card and my iphone was able to detect it however my itunes would only allow me to the option to restore my iphone which I did and now all my camera roll, notes, contacts and sms are gone and the backups in my iTunes are all post-iPhone-crash.

I have gone through the steps here - [URL] .... however i am unable to switch the phone off completelly - only a soft restart using the power and volume up key - the phone then restarts before i can go to step 4 where i connect the usb holding the volume down button. By that time the phone has restarted.

Allowing the phone to completely run out of battery is not an option as the above requires at least 80% battery even when plugged in.
i break my front touch panel accidently, means i couldn't un-lock my phone anymore. but, there has some very important data and file in the phone memory. is it possible or any ways to get those data/files out? i don't want to repair the front panel of this phone anymore.. That caused the Album app to disappear from the app drawr. Since then, she updated Album (com.sonyericsson.album) from the Play Store, and that caused the Album icon to reappear in the app drawr. However, something is wrong with how media is handled by the phone now:
I've had my Xperia Z3 from T-Mobile for the last 8-9 months, no issues till, well, today when I decided to test if the phone was really waterproof (1.5m for 30min as per the specs). Â Verified all slots were tightly closed and used for about 15 minutes taking some pictures and video underwater (approx 50cm deep), no problem at all. Â After those 15 minutes however the screen stopped responding to inputs. Â It was still displaying content though (camera), just not responding to inputs. Â

I was able to reboot the phone by pressing power + volume up for a few seconds. The phone seems to be rebooting fine but the screen is not displaying anything now. Â I can see the screen is backlit, and if I press the volume up or down buttons I hear the usual beeps, but the screen is not displaying anything at all. Â

My biggest issue now, besides what seems to be water damage on my display, is that I need to recover my phone data (images and some docs) as soon as possible. Â I tried connecting it to my PC via USB to access the internal storage and get what I needed, but my phone has a swipe code and since the screen is not displaying anything I can't unlock it for my PC to see it.

I plan to leave the phone off unless I need to check in with someone in US.I know that the voice rate will be $4.99 per minute, but how do I turn off the data portion of the phone to not rack up crazy roaming data charges. I do have unlimited international email but suspect the cruise ship does not count.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions:
-will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...?
-otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
i am locked out my samsung galaxy s5 phone. i went on the android device manager web and tried to do the whole step until i realized the location on my phone is off. so everytime i reset the password instead of getting the black screen and asked for a pin it keeps asking me for alternate password.i really dont want to do factory reset and lose all the pic memories i made with my kids and family. Apparently the guy who had it, had it locked to a BES and now I cannot disable my password protection settings. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone was activated and unlocked. I had to run it on blackra1n everytime I connected my phone to the computer. But it was fine. I was able to use an unregistered sim without a data plan. And then I accidentally upgraded.
I’ve tried restoring it with various custom IPSW files from different programs (I’ve even tried 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, and IOS 4) but my phone refuses to restore or restore unlocked. It still keeps asking for a valid sim. Sometimes, iTunes tells me that the “device isn’t eligible for the requested build”. I can’t use redsn0w because no matter what IPSW I try to use with it, it cannot be recognized. Sn0wbreeze did not work either. I’ve tried on both a MAC and a PC.According to forecast, my phone can be jailbroken but not unlocked. Bootloader is 6.4.
