Sometimes when i have my z5 locked and I receive a message my phone don't vibrate and the led light don't go on too. And when i click to unlock it vibrates like I had receive a new message but the message could be from 10 or 20 minutes ago. but this just happens sometimes I don't know why.
View 10 RepliesJust got a brand new Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray yesterday and it all worked fine. Today the LED notification doesn't light up when I receive a message and the screen is locked. I have checked though the service menu that the LED works, and I'm running gingerbread 2.3.4 so the new ICS update shouldn't be the problem. Also the screen doesn't light up when locked and receiving a message but I don't know if it's supposed to do that?

The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.

I often use Nokia PC Suite for managing my messages. When I read all new messages on E66, notification light automatically changes its self from flashing mode to "breathing". It's fine. But it doesn't work on my E52. When I read all new messages, notification light is still flashing (no "breathing"!) on E52. I read manual and I know that it is necessary to use my phone directly to stop flashing. Why (if all messages has been read)? I think, it correct works on E66. What is the problem? I use latest version of firmware and Nokia PC Suite (not OVI Suite!). I contacted Nokia HelpDesk, but they told me something like "it is not a bug, it is a feature".

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince installation of WhatsApp on my (recently purchased) Nexus 5, when vibration setting is set to "default" in application, the phone does not vibrate on receipt of a new WhatsApp message, even while system settings are set to "Vibrate when Ringing".
It vibrates though when the WhatsApp vibration settings are set to 'Short' or 'Long'
So basically, the "default" mode in vibration settings of WhatsApp is not ruled by the system settings, rather follows the rule - Vibrate when the phone is set on silent, and do not vibrate when ringing is enabled.
Is this how it is supposed to work? Because as per my read around I got an impression that default mode is to govern the app notification as per system setting. Am I missing something?
A mate of mine receives a vibration when he gets a push notification from snapchat, yet mine doesn't.

View 4 Replies View Relatedsince updating to 2.1 which actually went quite smoothly once i'd 'found' my contacts, my phone vibrates as well as makes a sound on incoming texts. The help guide (also disappeared off phone but can stll access online version) still refers to tapping settings & then tapping notifications.... well since the upgrade my settings menu has changed beyond recognition & when you tap settings there is no notifications option! The nearest is 'sound & display', in which i can change the sound used for texts alerts and also has a phone vibrate for incoming calls (which is unchecked) but nothing re vibrate for incoming texts.

I have a motorola Iusacell e815/e816 the problem is that I have no light on the phone screens, the outer window has all the data but no light, and in the main window, it stays locked hellomoto logo, receive calls, I make calls, send SMS, MMS, etc. but I can not configure anything, that could be happening.
I just purchased the M9 off ebay for $300 since it seemed like quite the steal, but my one question is about the LED notification light. I've read that you can't change colors or anything, but can you change how fast it flashes?

Now it's fine again but I feel a bit uneasy as I never encountered something like this on any Xperia before..

Both GravityBox and XBlast tools would let me change the colour, but it would never work. All my notifications were still white. Even when I "previewed" the notification light, it would still be white. I also tried light flow, but only a couple of notification lights would show (those were some of the predefined settings). Are there specific hex values I have to use to get it to work? I really want to get this to work ....

Ive tried plugging the charger in, using the wireless charger, I even had ny husband call my phone and the screen never lit up and the phone never rang. Notification light bleeds from nylon caps and i am worried if that will have any adverse effect on waterproofing.
