I had a Nokia 5800 Xpress, and it was always locked using "Phone Auto Lock" due to having sensitive information contacts, sms, emails etc. as below
Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. >Security > Phone and SIM card > Phone autolock period
I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. I accidentally deleted all the pictures and videos from Gallery Images& Videos. Do you think that I can recover the phone pictures? Or someone could send me them?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button.
All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working.
It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?
In my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic till last month when i was transferring any mp4 video file , my pc suite automatically converted them into supported format ie; WMV.But now files r not being transferred..

Now for the last week I have Packet data could not send text to the person and I can't see how to delete this problem.Then of course nearly every time I go to use phone it flashes up. It's really annoying . Does this mean I have ruined my phone and if I can fix it myself please explain in step by step instructions.

If I change the "Contacts to display" option to phone memory and sim memory, or sim memory alone for that matter, it displays all the contacts stored on my sim, however no contacts are displayed when I choose phone memory alone. I have tried copying all my contacts from sim back to the phone and still nothing. It's weird because when I do a memory details check on my phone's memory, it's saying that there are 83 contacts stored. Even if I try to manually add a new contact to the phone memory, it STILL is not showing up in my contacts list. I have had this phone about 5 months now and this problem only occurred about a week ago, before that everything was working just fine.

All new and old images got automatically deleted. everytime I take new photos, they automatically get deleted as soon as battery gets low or cell gets switched off or restarted for any reason. what to do? whats the use of 12 megapixel camera if cant store photos.

1. Removed all battery saving apps
2. Stamina is turned OFF
3. Background data restriction is OFF
4. Wi-Fi is ON, even while phone is asleep
5. Said apps are set to correct options for notifications, sound, downloading.
6. No change after upgrading the OS months ago
7. Heaps of Googling to try and find an answer.
My iPhone4S was stolen yesterday and I wiped the data off the phone using my iPad. Unfortunately this wipe of data seems to have beed synced via iCloud to my PC and iPad and I have lost all calendar and contacts details. Is there a way for me to recover this data?

I have this problem with my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. There are two files Record1 & Record2 in C: (Phone memory) which are locked and I cannot delete them. They are around 50 MB and I don't have enough memory even to write msg.
When I try to delete the files the inscription which pops up is " a file or a folder you are trying to delete, rename, copy or move is protected from access"
I was recently in Barcelona, Spain with my high school travel club when my iPhone 5s was stolen. The last time i had backed up my phone was not since 2012. I am sick as i had over 1,000 pictures and 30 videos from our trip. Some people told me that even though my iPhone hadn't been backed up, i had my "streamed photos" that i would still be able to get back? If there is still absolutely any way to get my pictures and videos back.

It's very difficult to take out the phone from your pocket and then adjust the volume or change the track unless you have put on the handsfree. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.

Some files will play but most will not, I have checked everything ie codec, res. frame rate etc it all seems OK. About camera:
When I turn on the phone and go to the camera it works. I can take few photos and close it. But when I try to run it again there is only black screen. I have to reset my phone to open it once again.
About videos:
Very similar problem. I can watch few videos, but If I close the player and run it again, there is only sound and black screen. I must reset my phone to watch it again...

View 5 Replies View RelatedHad this phone for one month. When I tried to shut it down today, it stayed on the 'nokia' screen for a few hours. I tried to forcefullly shut it off by pulling out the battery. The fone shut off. But, when I place the battery back and turn it on, it stays at the same 'nokia' screen. Tried this a few times and no help yet.Any ideas anyone? Any way to reset the phone without losing my photos,videos, voice recordings and music?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy nokia 5800 takes many time to autofocus i.e. changing of bracket from yellow to green. Firstly I can see zooming of lens in and out during autofocus, but now I can't. As a result the pic it shoots is blurred. When i compare the picture quality of 5800 with 5233 (2 mp), I found quality of 5233's pic is far better than 3.2 mp carl zeiss lens.

Was trying the Ovi maps on the 5800 today in the car, had full strength GPS with no network support. I set it to navigate me home but it kept coming up with the message 'No Route Data'. I have the full UK map installed & it has worked fine all the other times I have tried it out. Still new to Ovi so not to sure what to try.All latest firmware updates installed & latest maps (not beta)

1. Is this possible from the built-in browser ? I can do it from Opera Mini, but haven't found a straightforward method for the Nokia browser.
2. The images I did download are very small (certainly smaller than the were when uploaded). Is it possible to download the full-sized image ? If not, is this a phone/browser or Facebook limitation ?
