how to go about transferring my contacts from Ovi on my pc to my new phone Xperia X10i. I have currently downloaded my contacts and everything else on to an old nokia phone and am sending each contact individually via bluetooth - a real pain in the a$$.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to transfer my Contacts from my X8 to a PC and a Nokia phone. When I export my contacts list, it creates a VCF file containing (supposed to be) all my contacts but it only has 1 contact (the first in the list). I tried viewing this file using PC Companion and it was confirmed that it only contains 1 contact. I tried transfering (Copy/Paste) this to my PC and opened this in MS Outlook, only 1 contact was opened. I tried the 'Send All Contacts' via bluetooth and it also transfered 1 contact.

I've checked the filters, that's not the problem (and it shouldn't affect the phone log either, right?)
I've tried closing the "contacts" app and clearing the data, that didn't do it either.

I have an Xperia Z5 (E6653) and I have a microsoft office 365 (business version) account that manages all my email, calendar & contacts. I setup the account through the built in "gmail" app because the contacts & calendar would not sync at all through the native mail app.
The problem I have is that I can see & call my exchange contacts with no problems, they sync fine from the server, but I can't make any changes to the contacts via the phone's native "contacts" app, the edit symbol is there but when i tap the symbol it takes me to the next sreen (edit screen) and from there the screen is basically useless, all the details are grey and un-editable *screenshot attached* ....
any way we can copy "gmail contacts" to "phone contact"??Is it useful to copy contacts to phone or can we keep on using the gmail contact and keep the phone contacts empty?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created Contact Groups that are placed under Phone Contacts (Not Gmail Contacts!).Now I try to delete them and they do disappear from my apps like Contacts GroupU.But if you check the View Contacts - Display Contacts - Phone Contacts from the Phonebook (top left icon in Contactlist) all groups are still there.Some that were created twice are even listed double.I would like to know how I can remove those groups from the list.If I keep a group from the Gmail lst pressed, then I get a popup offering me to delete the sync group.I hope you understand my problem.
