Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Slide Is Not Responding
May 5, 2012When I slide to open the keyboard it dosent respond. The backlits in the keyboard are not glowing and the auto rotation is also not working when I slide the keyboard.

Jan 23, 2012My Xperia Mini Pro has a fault with the keyboard - when I slide it out it activates, ie the background light comes on but then it goes out. Sometimes it stays on a for a few seconds whilst fully open but then goes off. Nothing physical has happened to the phone and it doesn't seem to be a loose connection or anything. I've tried updating the software but that didn't help.

Jul 1, 2012I have a Sony Ericsson XPERIA MK16a Android 2.3.4. I believe the slide-out keyboard should highlight when it's out, but mine doesn't since 2 months, nearly when I bough it. I tried to find a highlight setting I would have disactivated by mistake but there is no highlight set up. At this point, i'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem, or if the phone just doesn't have highlight function.

Jun 26, 2012Up until 3 weeks ago my Sk17i worked perfectly and didn't miss a beat. Since then it randomly switches itself off and regaularly reboots when I slide the keyboard out. It hasn't been damaged and I haven't rooted it or done anything out of the ordinary with it. It's only 6 months old.

Did a factory reset which didnt solve the problem. Decided to upgrade to android 2.1 and now none of the keys on the slide out keyboard work. Tried to reinstall android 2.1 and still doesnt work. Sep 9, 2012I am having this problem with my U20i, When i open the slide the screen stops working and there are glitches on the screen and boxes on the screen. And i have to take out the battery and insert again for it to function properly. I am in Pakistan so i cant take it to any Sony franchise.. Nov 7, 2011When I am not using and not sliding out my keyboard sometimes it gets automatically to the horizontal or when I slide out my keyboard, the screen gets not horizontal. At worst case it lacks between horizontal and vertical mode.
But when I am locking the phone with not slided out keyboard, sometimes it automatically unlocks the screen because the phone thinks that I slided out my keyboard, and normally when you slide out your keyboard at locked mode and don't have any code or password it unlocks the screen.

I've tried different types of rom, i've removed the sim and sd card but nothing seems to solve the problem.After pressing the power button and the cpu gets out of deep sleep, touchscreen is not responding just volume buttons and power button. I have to keep press the power button until at some point the touchscreen responds.

Xperia Z2 :: Stops Responding After Using For Several Hours
Apr 13, 2015After updating to the latest version (23.1.A.1.28), sometimes during using the phone it suddenly stops responding starting from the home button then the desktop icons & the app drawer also don't respond and can't even switch to other home screen pages.
After restarting the phone, it works fine for some hours and then it happens again. This happens at least twice a day.
I tried repairing by pcc and the same problem returned again. This never happened on Kitkat. Is this a common issue (should I flash kitkat to solve it)?

Oct 13, 2015I've recently got my Z5 (upgrade from Z3) literally on Monday 23rd Nov.
I've loaded most of the stuff I had on my Z3 and not loaded anything else that I didn't have on the Z3 (eg. Apps).
However, the first morning upon trying to sleepily swipe the alarm off, it wouldn't work so when I eventually opened my sleep encrusted eyes to see what was up it had a little pop up message saying "home screen not responding: close | wait" so what I pressed as I was trying to get it to stop blaring out Queen at the ungodly hour.
Didn't think much of it but over the past few days it's been doing it still. This morning it did the same thing but it also does it during the day too when I take it out and unlock to start using it.
I'm not sure if it's a temporary thing and whether it's because it's the first usage and it's unhappy with my choice of alarm music, the music I listen to during the day via Bluetooth headphones or maybe the somewhat RAM hogging weather live app I have running as a live background function.
I tried Google but it came up about home being touch unresponsive which this isn't technically doing. If I press "wait" it's a bit like a pc in that it will sit frozen for a minute then start working.
