Lumia 950 :: WiFi Connectivity On Phone
Feb 1, 2016I wasn't getting any traction on this when I posted it on the sticky bug defect page so I figured I would try a new thread.
I have had my 950 for about a month and a half and I really like it except for the issue I am having with WiFi. When it connects it gives me message that there is No Internet Access. And if I try something like web browsing I get an error because the phone is trying to use the WiFi connection instead of the Cell connection. This happens in multiple locations. I have this issue about 90% of the time and rebooting the phone fixes the issue about half the time.
Xperia Z5 :: No Data Connectivity At All When 4G Enabled
Oct 18, 2015I just got the international Z5c, model E5823, which supports both tmo us LTE bands in my area (bands 2 and 12). When I have preferred network type set to 3G, I get more bars and have data connectivity. When I switch it to 4G, the bars go down to 1 or 2, and I get no data.
I did a logcat while switching from 3G to 4G and noticed that while switching, the icon switches between H+ and H, then eventually drops out. I'm still trying to see if there is anything useful in the logcat, but the one thing I noticed that seemed interesting was D/StatusBar.NetworkController( 2598): updateIconSet, voice network type is: 13/LTE, data network type is: 13/LTETo me, this looks like I might be seeing issues with some failed attempt to use voice over lte (as this phone supports it).

My phone had fallen in water so got it repaired by authorized service center. They changed all the parts but still I'm getting this problem.

Mar 14, 2010The main reason i bought the phone.Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short.It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)!If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever
LG G3 :: 4G Connectivity - Won't Reconnect Again
Jun 10, 2015As soon as I inserted the Sim card and turned on the device I immediately got APN configuration for my phone, including 4G.
The problem is, that when choosing network mode: LTE/ WCDMA / EDGE, the phone has 4g connection for a while, but as soon as this connection is down (for instance, when connecting to Wi-Fi), it won't reconnect again, not to 4g or 3g or anything. I can still get calls in and out, but no data.
Resetting the device and/or turning mobile data on and off won't solve the problem. Only changing network mode from LTE mode to wcdma or EDGE and then back will get the 4g connection up again.
My current solution is to work in wcdma/edge mode. In this mode i don't encounter any issues. However, it's a Shame that I can't utilize 4g capability.
Nokia :: E72 - Slow Connectivity GPS
Feb 5, 2010I purchased my E72 last week and installed the latest Nokia Maps with free navigation support.
I had an absolutely seamless GPS connection in the initial three to four days of usage, but now, it takes me an eternity for the GPS to connect to the satellite. I have to wait for a minimum of 5-10 minutes every time I want to use the GPS. I tried reinstalling the maps, but that did not help, either. Should I Hard Reset the phone? Is there any simpler method?
Nokia :: 5800 - No 3G Connectivity On AT&T
Mar 6, 2010I don't seem to be getting any 3G data connectivity on my fairly new Nokia Xpress Music 5800 Navigation Edition phone. It is only connecting via Edge. I checked with AT&T who verified that my account is provisioned for 3G data and I am easily within the coverage area since I am in NYC.
When I force the network mode to UMTS, the phone shows the 3G or 3.5G icon but there are no signal bars. Then if I force the Operator Selection to manual it sees AT&T, but when I select it I get a "No access" error message.
I understand early 5800s had a problem with 3G connectivity in NYC that was fixed with a firmware update. I'm using firmware 40.2.005.465.03.
Is there anything I can try to get 3G working or is this phone likely defective?
Nokia :: N97 - Internet Connectivity
Jun 16, 2010I have an N97 with 3 and I used to be able to connect to the internet and download with no issues. Since a firmware update a few weeks ago every time I try and connect to the internet the phones starts looking for a WLAN connection, rather than "connecting via 3" like it used to.

May 11, 2010I have only had this phone for 7 months and now when I try to connect via USB, my computer does not recognize it at all when I open PC Suite or Ovi. I've tried choosing both PC Suite and Mass Storage options when connecting. Neither has worked. I even switched USB cables to see if there was an issue with my original one and this has failed as well.

2) Regarding mail connectivity, I see 3 options : default connection, full internet, mobile internet. Only full internet weems to work to access an internet mailbox. What is the difference between all 3 ? Again, I would like my mailbox tu use a WLAN connection as preferred one, and switch to 3G only when needed.

Feb 11, 2010I had updated my phone with firmware version 40.0.005.I am having problem while connecting to my bluetooth enable car stereo JVC KD AVX-44 Car System.It connects to the car system but when i start playing music in my mobile , it got disconnected from car stereo and then reconnects for 10 seconds approx and then disconnects again.There is no problem while connecting to the car system with Nokia 72,73,81 and Motorola A1200 etc.Before update V 40 i am able to connect the car system, but was not able to use next track or previous track using my car stereo remote .After updating V 40 I am able to use next track or previous track but my connection to car system losts in about 10 secs.

I had no problems whatsoever doing this with my iPhone. I have read a number of threads where people have had similar problems but none were specific to the Audi's audio (MMI) system. I have paired and re-paired the S5 with the car numerous times and have tried countless possible solutions, but the navigation directions always and only come thru the phone's speaker. With the car's radio on, this becomes a problem. With my iPhone, the radio broadcast would cut out whenever directions (using Google Maps) were spoken.

I send a connect message from the 8320 to the 8900 and get a message "Connection to 8900 failed".Tried to connect the other way around, sending the request from the 8900 to the 8320 and the drop down menu does not show the "connect" option.
