LG G3 :: 4G Connectivity - Won't Reconnect Again
Jun 10, 2015
As soon as I inserted the Sim card and turned on the device I immediately got APN configuration for my phone, including 4G.
The problem is, that when choosing network mode: LTE/ WCDMA / EDGE, the phone has 4g connection for a while, but as soon as this connection is down (for instance, when connecting to Wi-Fi), it won't reconnect again, not to 4g or 3g or anything. I can still get calls in and out, but no data.
Resetting the device and/or turning mobile data on and off won't solve the problem. Only changing network mode from LTE mode to wcdma or EDGE and then back will get the 4g connection up again.
My current solution is to work in wcdma/edge mode. In this mode i don't encounter any issues. However, it's a Shame that I can't utilize 4g capability.

Recently I had to change my password with ATT. Since then, I am not receiving any emails on my phone; both personal and school. Everytime I try to set up the emails again, it says unable to due to inaccurate password and/or email. I am using the correct email and passwords for both but to no avail. Has this ever happened before?

previous hardware with new Cisco DPC3941T. Ever since, my cel phone (HTC One M7 running Android 5.0.2) will not auto-reconnect after a timeout. Under the previous config, there was never an issue.
So let's start at the beginning --
1) I just chose to "Forget" my home network on my cell.
2) I scan for new networks & choose the 2.4 OR the 5 segment. Enter password, Connect first time.
3) Run variety of tasks just fine, let the phone go to sleep.
4a) Pick up the phone after just a few minutes, still connected. Good.
4b) Pick up the phone after more than just a few minutes (?), the reconnect attempt errors out.
5) The only way to reconnect is to repeat steps (1) & (2) above.

My E71 is trying to re-connect to a wireless network I had previously used. It keeps doing this every 1minute and trys to send packet data for 7 seconds, then just stops. Nothing appears on the screen or any notification, but when checking the logs, you can see it gets spammed with an attempt to connect to a specific wirless network. This has drastically reduced the battery performance, I have tried disabling WLAN, This has done nothing, it still attempts to send/recieve, but never actually gets anything accomplished? What should I do?

Just got the X6 after having the 5800 for a while. With the 5800 if I entered a wep key for a WLAN it remembered it, and whenever I was in the area of said WLAN I could just click on the connection and go on the internet - with the X6 every single time I disconnect and re-connect it asks for the wep key again!

I have a Curve 8530 through sprint. I have a data plan, but I prefer to use wifi at home and school since it is faster, and I don't always have service in each building. When my phone is connected to wifi it works fine. But when I leave home and return, it won't reconnect to my home network unless I shut my router down, and turn it back on, after which my curve connects almost instantly. At school I have to login but sometimes I have to try manually up to 10 or 12 times before it will finally connect. Is there something wrong with my phone, or is there something I can do that will allow it to redetect those networks that I use each time, rather than have to go through all of these extra steps? If it is a problem with the phone I can still return it and not be charged.

Well a quick look at the volume on the Google forums shows this is not just my problem and it seems to be common to all Android phones. After moving out of range, the WiFi will not reconnect when back in range, i.e. moving between 2 locations that are remembered just shows the WiFi scanning then disconnecting all the time. Turning WiFi on and off causes it to request an IP address and then all is fine.I held off complaining about this until after the 2.1 update which I did yesterday, but no change.
In the interim I have installed a WiFi toggle app which does the job but this is such a fundamental issue it should have been 100% bulletproof from day one. After all probably 99.99% of all users are connecting via WiFi? and its the reason a smartphone is purchased. my daughters iPhone moves seamlessly between routers so its an Android problem.

It happens very often that Nokia Maps can not reconnect after loosing GPS connection(for example in tunnels)The only way to restart the navigation mode is stop the program and restart it. Therefore the application can not be used as professional navigation solution.

The wifi in the mini gets disconnected quite often. And the bad thing is that it does not reconnect by itself. If I go in the wifi menu, all networks shows as "Out of range", even after a rescan. The only fix is to disable and re-enable the wifi. Looks like a bug! The phone, model E10i, is updated to firmware 1.6, build 1.0.A.1.38.

What happened: (Moto X Pure, just purchased new from Moto)
Came with Android 5, and I have upgraded it to Android 6 with the update straight from Moto. Been on Android 6 since the first day of use, about a week ago. Then today ...
1. Left phone on (Moto OEM) charger overnight, was at about 23% to begin with.
2. 7am Alarm went off (one I had set).
3. I silenced the alarm.
4. Unplugged from charger.
5. Phone would not work at all. No display. Could not get it to power on or the screen to come on (if it was powered on). Depressed the power button. Held it in, etc and so on. Nothing worked.
6. Plugged it back into the OEM charger and it came on and booted up.
7. After starting up it showed a 99% charge level.
8. Working fine now.

I've seen a lot of people with different Bluetooth issues but not much about what's happening to me. I assume Bluetooth is just bad on this phone. use Bluetooth headphones while I'm at work. I have to pause a lot of times obviously. Around 90% of the time I have to use my phone to continue playing what I was listening to.
Pressing play with the button on the headphones does nothing. Sometimes if it's around a minute or two later the headphones button will work. If it's longer it never works. Is this happening to other people. I am unrooted. The only change is unlocked bootloader. I am also still on MDA89D. My phone doesn't seem to want to update.

so I've had these Bluetooth issues since I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5. I've searched and searched and found nothing, so finally I decided to post my story here. First of all I'd like to point out: I've tried everything! ..but more on this below. I have a Bluetooth capable car stereo, the Sony BT2600, in my car. It works like a charm and I've been using it for listening to music via A2DP (Bluetooth Stereo Audio) since I updated my HTC Prophet to Windows Mobile 6 back in 2008. Since 2009 I've been using it with an iPhone 3G, then a 3GS, and finally with my iPhone 4, which I've owned since october 2010.Calling worked, listening to music worked, and since iOS 3, I think, AVRCP has been working fine, too.
Now to the things that worked until before the iOS 5 update:When I got into my car, turned on the ignition, the car stereo automatically tries to connect to the last connected device, so unless BT was disabled on the iPhone, it connected without problems and I could start music playback by pressing the Play/Pause button on the unit, without having to pull the iPhone out of my pocket. When I got out of my car, turned the ignition, and thus, the car stereo, off, the iPhone would of course disconnect. Here's where it becomes interesting: When I would go for another drive in my car, the head unit would reconnect to the iPhone, just as in the first point of this list.Same when starting the car's engine, which cuts the power to the head unit for one second. It would automatically reconnect to the phone and I could press the Play/Pause button twice to resume playback.Furthermore, when Repeat was not enabled on the iPhone's iPod application and the current album / playlist / podcast would end, the Bluetooth connection would remain active, which was good, because I would still be able to receive calls using the hands-free functionality of the Sony head unit, and I could restart playback by pressing the Play/Pause button on the latter. My Apple aluminum Wireless Keyboard would also connect flawlessly whenever BT was enabled on the iPhone. Also the Bluetooth tethering feature would work fine - I could just connect to it via my MacBook's Bluetooth menu, without having to do anything with the iPhone.
Since I updated to iOS 5,my car stereo doesn't connect to the iPhone unless it's been less than a minute that I'd enabled Bluetooth on the iPhone.same with the keyboard. When music playback stops (at the end of an album/playlist/podcast, with Repeat disabled), the whole Bluetooth connection is instantly lost, and can't be regained until I disable and re-enable Bluetooth on the iPhone. Which means that I can't take calls in my car after listening to an album or podcast or playlist when I forget to enable Repeat.Whenever I have to re-start my car's engine, the connection is, in more than half of the cases, lost until disabling and re-enabling BT on the iPhone.Same with tethering.
What I've tried so far:deleted all BT devices from the iPhone's list, re-paired - nothingrebooted, many, many times - nothingrestored to iOS 5.0.1 - nothinghit "Reset Network Preferences" - nothing, the BT devices even stay in the listhit "Delete All Settings" on the iPhone - nothing, BT device list still the samerestored to 5.0.1 again - nothingrestored to iOS 5.1 - nothingrestored to iOS 5.1 from DFU mode, setting up the iPhone "as new iPhone". Big step, PITA, but still - nothing. At least this has cleared the BT device list. But the issues remain.

I think the content of this forum shows that there is clearly a problem with iPhone 4S / IOS 5.1.1 and Wi-Fi. My Setup: I live in an awful house for Wi-Fi - not only is it spread-out, but it also has metal sheets laid across every floor to reflect under floor heat upwards and, of course, to kill Wi-Fi signal dead. To get decent coverage I have 1 wireless router and 3 access points all using the same SSID and password, but using different channels (separated as much as possible physically and by frequency). The four units are connected by wire (over the power lines). This setup has worked fine for several years. It still works fine for my iPhone 3G, iPad 1, iPad 3, Squeezeboxes, MacBook Air, laptop PCs etc. (I program and use this kit for testing as well as playing).
The Problem: The Saturday before last I bought an iPhone 4S to upgrade to (as my trusty iPhone 3G was broken (I dropped it :-( )). The iPhone 4 connects to the Wi-Fi nicely (so its not a security issue) but drops out after a few minutes and then refuses to re-connect. I am current still testing, but I believe it also drops out if I move in the house from one AP's strong area to another's. I suspect it hangs onto the weak channel and refuses to change. If I walk back to the AP that I originally connected to it re-connects. I never had this problem with the iPhone 3G. I still don't (its repaired :-) ). And I am now testing by taking both phones with me as I roam about the house. Both phones are running IOS5.1.1 and the 3G works perfectly whilst the 4S drops out and throws a hissy fit. how to tell which Wi-Fi channel your iPhone is connected to? If I could find that information I could test my theory about the roaming not working. When making suggestions please remember that all my other devices work just fine, including my iPhone 3G which is physically touching the 4S that won't work. Therefore I may be a little sceptical if anyone suggests I upgrade the router (which I can't because its a Virgin one and updates automatically).

I just got an iPhone 4s and I did manage to get my Platronics 975 headset paired without too much trouble but there's one thing I can't figure out. On my old LG phone there was an option to drop the connection (without forgetting it) to your Bluetooth device when you weren't using it and then reconnect when you wanted to use it. How do you do this on the iPhone 4s?

I have upgraded by Torch (AT&T) to release 6.0.0.2342. Since the upgrade I have been unable to reconnect my Bluetooth handsfree kit (Plantronics Explorer 240 headset). When I reboot the phone I can connect the bluetooth device but when I turn the bluetooth device off, the Torch will not reconnect to the device when I trun it back on unless I reboot the Torch. Also when the bluetooth device has been turned off the Torch still shows it as being connected flashing blue LED and on connection screen. When I try turn bluetooth off or disable it in the Blackberry it does not change state without a reboot (but always shows as OFF and will not return to ON or Enabled). I have tried both soft reboots (alt-shift-delete) and battery pulls. When bluetooth is locked up voice dialing app no longer works as well.

I've successfully connected to a public hotspot (hotel, MacDonalds, Panera) of the type that redirects you to an "agree to our terms" screen before you can use their internet connection. The first time I use the connection it works fine. The next time I try to use the connection, the connection either goes to "remembered" but never connects, or it connects but the browser won't redirect to the "agree" screen, so I can't actually use the connection.

I have paired my Bionic with our courdless phone - Panasonic KX-TG6581 - The cordless phone with bluetooth link works like a headphone device, and calls can be answered on the cordless phone while at home.
My problem is that the Bionic does not reconnect to the phone after a Bionic power cycle - I have to go back to the bluetooth device on the Bionic and hit connect.
My Motorola Droid worked perfectly with this device

My Droid Bionic works great except it will not auto-reconnect with my bluetooth earpiece. This is what occured - When I first got the phone, I made it discoverable and it was able to verify my plantronics 245 earpiece; the devices were then paired as expected. However, every subsequent time I activate the bluetooth on my phone and I turn on my earpiece, the device does not automatically reconnect. Oddly enough, when I go to the Bionic bluetooth settings page I see that my earpiece is listed as one of the bluetooth devices but it is showing as "paired but not connected".
The only way I can connect the two devices is by going into the bluetooth settings page and manually selecting the earpiece, and even then, it will still have trouble connecting unless I toggle the earpiece off then on.Is anyone else having this difficulty? And/or does anyone know if Motorola knows about the problem and will be sending out a software update for this issue?

I normally have my Nexus 5 phone WiFi connected to my home network and have Data turned off.
If I move out of range of my network obviously the phone's WiFi connection drops.
When I return to within range of my home network my phone doesn't automatically reconnect to my home network. I have to press the power button on the phone to wake up the screen and within a couple of seconds the phone connects to my home network.
When I first got the phone I never had this issue. The phone would reconnect to my home network even though the screen hadn't been woken up.
When I got the phone it was on an older version of Android .. before Android version 5.
I have run the phone in Safe Mode and the automatic reconnect still doesn't occur.
So on Lollipop 5.1.1 should the reconnect to WiFi be automatic ?

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Micorsoft Sync. I had a Droid X and upgraded to the Bionic. When getting in the car, the DX always auto-connected to the phone (headset) profile and also to the A2DP profile, although sometimes the Sync screen displayed a "Connection failed" message before it always actually did connect. Previously my BB Storm 2 had no problems connecting.
When I turn the car on, the Bionic connects fine to the headset profile but fails to auto-connect to the A2DP profile. I get the same "Connection failed" message as with the DX but it doesn't subsequently connect and I have to connect it manually. This is very troubling to me as I almost exclusively use A2DP for listening to music and podcasts in my car.[url]...

Just got the Elite Flip Thursday night (it's now Saturday morning), paired it with Moto Droid Razr Maxx (OTA .181), and yes, I am using the latest MotoSpeak. I noticed that every time I used the EF for a telephone call, once the call was disconnected, usually but not exclusively by the other party hanging up, the Elite Flip would disconnect from the phone and then reconnect. Is this normal? Is there a way to keep the Elite Flip from doing this?
