my neo v was connecting fine till i tried to update my phone using update service , after then it is refusing to connect to any of the computer ,tried in many computers with many data cables, now im unable to repair it using pc companion bcz the phone is not connecting.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
I have been having a few problems with my ray ever since i got it. I have been having a few problems with connecting it to a computer using either MTP or MSC. I have sent a message to sony about this problem and they asked me to turn off all my firewalls and anti viruses on my computer and to then try again but then no luck. After some time the mini usb port wasnt working at all and i was sent a new one. As soon as i got it i tried to connect it to my computer but no luck it wasn't picking it up. I also tried it on my laptop and on my mac but yet again nothing worked. Im not sure what im supposed to do now as i want to update my phone to Ice Cream and the updating app on the phone isn't allowing me to do it.

It starts off as normal asking me to connect phone or install pc companion, but after i choose one first it jus goes blank and then says no sim card connected, then it completely reboots. When it finally starts up it just shows the charging symbol but no "connect phone etc" option.

My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. View 1 Replies View RelatedBut from couple of days if I connect my phone to pc with usb cable , PC companion is not detecting the phone when phone is in media transfer mode. Earlier it was perfectly working and I was able to access sd card data from phone and from pc as well at the same time. Also pc companion shows proper details and also shows it is running latest software.Not all is gone, if i connect with media tranfer mode, it doesn't detect anything. If change it to mass storage mode, it is unmounting from phone and showing as "Phone memory".I have tried following in mobile
1) settings-> manage apps -> created MTSapp cache
2) rebooted phone "N" number of time and tried connection.
3) removed data from phone (the message pc companion shows there is more data on phone and it will take time). but didn't work even after deleting my music, pics etc...
In my pc: re-installed everyting pc companion latest version.Nothing worked for media tranfer mode. Even it is not charging battery too when connected to phone.Is there anything left to test SONY device and software?
I recently brought a new Sony Xperia Neo L. It is working fine with 3G network but when I am trying to connect to 2G network, it always display unable to connect selected network. I have tried to repair my cell phone using PCC and also done factory reset many times but every times it is only able to connect to the 3G network.

When I try to download them in the xperia lounge app it says 'connection error. Unable to connect to download server. Please check your Internet connection', despite me having both a WiFi and 4g signal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest update to the lounge app, and have tried reseting the phone and clearing the cache, but no luck.
