I've bought Ray for nearly 5 months. At first, there was no problem when I connected the phone to PC through "Media Transf. mode", I still opened folder Music and DCIM normally but recently,I've been in trouble with it. I can not see any file in the folder Music and DCIM except connecting only by "MSC mode". Just through "MSC mode",I can see all files of music and picture.

I just got my new Xperia Pro phone and I'm trying to set it up with my PC, I installed the PC companion software, but when I plug in my phone, the Found New Hardware device just keeps giving endless popups on the bottom right saying "Found New Hardware MTP Device". This just keeps popping up continuously and endlessly and nothing additional happens. When I check Device manager, it does show MTP device, but that's it. I have already restarted my PC and phone but still the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBut from couple of days if I connect my phone to pc with usb cable , PC companion is not detecting the phone when phone is in media transfer mode. Earlier it was perfectly working and I was able to access sd card data from phone and from pc as well at the same time. Also pc companion shows proper details and also shows it is running latest software.Not all is gone, if i connect with media tranfer mode, it doesn't detect anything. If change it to mass storage mode, it is unmounting from phone and showing as "Phone memory".I have tried following in mobile
1) settings-> manage apps -> created MTSapp cache
2) rebooted phone "N" number of time and tried connection.
3) removed data from phone (the message pc companion shows there is more data on phone and it will take time). but didn't work even after deleting my music, pics etc...
In my pc: re-installed everyting pc companion latest version.Nothing worked for media tranfer mode. Even it is not charging battery too when connected to phone.Is there anything left to test SONY device and software?
my neo v was connecting fine till i tried to update my phone using update service , after then it is refusing to connect to any of the computer ,tried in many computers with many data cables, now im unable to repair it using pc companion bcz the phone is not connecting.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased the z3+ with hi res audio bundle. However, I can't seem to download the hi res albums included in the offer. When I try to download them in the xperia lounge app it says 'connection error. Unable to connect to download server. Please check your Internet connection', despite me having both a WiFi and 4g signal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest update to the lounge app, and have tried reseting the phone and clearing the cache, but no luck.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWiFi was working fine until 10am this morning, since then i have been unable to connect, when i enter the password to connect, it shows as saved, then shows as 'connecting, followed by 'Authentication problem', there is nothing wrong with the router etc. as work colleagues are using the same WiFi and it's fine for them, i have tried using the Sony PC Companion, it said my phone is up to date, so i done a repair/restore, i am still receiving the message "Authentication problem" when trying to connect to the WiFi.

However when I got it back it will not connect to my network which is Vodafone Ireland. When I try to connect it says "Your SIM Card does not allow a connection to this network". I have changed the mode from WCDMA and GSM and vice versa but still it won't connect. I even got a new sim card to try that. It will work with any of my older phones but not this one. The phone works perfectly at everthing else including internet by Wi-Fi but not as a phone.

I change my phone to 'mediaoverdracht modus' ( it's in dutch, i don't know the english word ). It's the modus that is required for updating your phone, and it's step 3. But it fails every single time. PC Companion keeps saying it is unable to connect to my PLAY. No errorcode or nothing, it just gives the advice to reconnect my phone to the PC.

But then a few weeks ago I went to connect to my home Wi-Fi and it said Wi-Fi was off, so I turned it on and it crashed. View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to 2.3.3 late last year, I've not been able to get onto t'interweb. I can connect to wifi and to the network now, but pages won't load. I've downloaded an app to fix wifi but that hasn't sorted it either, and it doesn't matter which network I connect to.
I've tried static IP etc which gets me connected, but it doesn't get the pages loaded, and it worked before the update on all networks absolutely fine so it's not the routers that need sorting, it's the phone.
what else to try that preferably doesn't involve wiping the phone and starting again?
For over a week I am not being able to connect my phone in MTP mode, Mass Storage Mode" just work fine I had this issue before and it got resolved automatically, However I was facing issues such as intermittent GPRS connectivity so few weeks before i did repair using the SEUS. The phone was working fine and I had great battery backup than ever before also I learned how to manage RAM and installed apps. Everything was going fine but all of the sudden I'm not being able to connect in MTP mode in PC companion it just says "No Phone Connected". Another serious issue is phone does not charge when connected to my laptop in MTP but the arc light in the phone shows its charging. I already try reinstalling PC companion but still the same.

However, stragenly I was able to upgrade from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1 through PC Companion (though PC Companion refuses to detect). View 5 Replies View RelatedHere are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.
